Original article: Battle of the Bushes

Pablum

This book is ridiculous. What about Brown and Root and Bush Senior? Haliburton? The Saudi's who have had an incestuous relationship with him for thirty five years? The Bin Ladens and Bush? James Baker, his best friend is now the Secretaty of Defense. He is the master of this disaster and to talk about a slight initiated by Junior is a joke. His father was a war profiteer for the Nazis. Why is Salon publishing this bullshit?

FISA

Where does John Edwards stand on this bill and why does the media continue to ignore him? Clinton is Bush in a pantsuit. She is despicable and I know noone who would vote for her.

Do you really think that on an anonymous site anyone cares that you had thiry years in Berkeley and one in Bejing? And you are critiquing a writer while giving this info? MYOHMY. I love The Ofice. This year they are struggling a bit but it is so vapid and entertaining and the characters are still unique. My thirteen year old, my 20 year old, my dad(86) and I love it. That says alot.

Original article: How Hillary could tank

Neocons and Clinton

I used to think that the reason the "mainstream " (i.e. rightwing) media was forcing Clinton down our throats was that she would be a candidate the Republicans could beat. Now I think that they actually would love her to be president as she is owned by and obligated to Pharmco, the military industrial complex, oil companies and not to any ordinary Americans. Her presidency will look like another Bush presidency. I hang out with people of all political stripes and have yet to meet a Hillary supporter. I

War Profiteers.

These people don't support troops. They proudly support war profiteers. They are the same people who got to church every Sunday and have to tell yu about it. I bet the oh so sanctimonious Hillary wears a flag in her lapel. Remember when she led the seantors in God Bless America on the steps of the capitol when 911 happened? She was positioning herself for a run a the presidency at that moment, politicizing it. The war profiteers love her and are pushing her candidacy. Hey, Bill, Don't go into hiding if they try to demonize you again. We need you.

So go to a sports bar or sign up for cable. Quit whining. If you truly love baseball you will find a way to watch the game.

Whooors

Gary Owen is right on. Hughes and her ilk should be nuked by the their neoenukie buddies. What a joke to appeal to her compassionate side. She, like all of these criminals are intent on living off the government or off of corporate welfare and all the rest of us plebians who actually pay the taxes, be damned. Please, Sidney, do not attempt to ascribe human qualities to this monster. Thanks for your great articles

AROD

The only reason this conversation (dissecting the Yankees losing yet another first round playoff series) is taking place is AROD'S slugging percentage. He was o-for throughout the series (that's no hits with men on base for you neophiles). He gets a few rbis ..Yankees win. I am hoping he is either fired or chooses to return to the Mariners where he was king. Griffey should have returned also when all went south. AROD and Seattle would be a win - win. The pressure would be off which is when AROD performs best.

Clinton and Salon

It would appear that the Republican neocons and the David Brooks of the world would love to have Clinton as the next president as she is so ovbiously one of them (a corporate shill)) The major media figured this out years ago and have promoted her presidency ever since. Unfortunately Salon has too. I wish that you, Mr. Greenwald, as a popular writer for Salon, would address this bias in your commentaries and with your co-workers.

One more point. You quote Brooks as (twice) describing Americans as "hegemons" There is no such thing. Thank you for exposing this idiot. The Anchorage Daily News runs his columns regularly. Of course they are owned by a Murdoch -like media conglomerate. As you know Murdoch holds fundraisers for Clinton. So much for the FEC and restoring free press if she becomes president.

Rathergate

The "red herring"theory seems to be the best summation of what happened. Since all bases in response to this article have been circled I have only a few points to make. Has anyone but me seen the new Rather show on HBO? It is excellent. Last one was on some families of Americans killed in the Iraq occupation. Number two; does anyone care that Robert Murdoch throws fundraisers for Hillary Clinton? You think she will take on the FEC and the corporate media consolidation which occurred under the watch of Michael Powell, Colin Powell's son (along with soon to be indicted Ted Stevens of Alaska). I love Salon but you are wrong to support Hillary. She is a neocon and a corporatist(if that is a word). Thanks to Blumenthal.

Original article: Leaving Baghdad

Iraq

Everyone who reads this should send it to their reps in Washington. Why , on earth are we not taking care of the refugees who's crises we have created? Some of you have human beings to represent you. We, in Alaska have only mentally challenged, corrupt idiots. I wish I could do something for these poor souls.

Original article: Why Bush won't attack Iran

hquain's response

You are so right on . bush will do whatever they tell him to do(Cheney,et.al) It is ridiculous to posit that he , himself will make a decision.
