If you read the recent

compromised, and deceptive bills regarding the so called "public option" you will notice that this option has been so watered down that it is a joke. So here we are fighting for this sleight of hand and the dems and Obama believe we will be appeased. This" public" option will be available only to poor people who already have Medicaid. Why do the dems not attack the repubs for denying healthcare to those of us not on the government dole? It is not about the uninsured It is also about the insured who get screwed daily by the insurance industry. .Small business owners have their rates raised fifty percent a year. As one of them (small business owner, fifty employees) it is becoming ever more difficult to pay the premiums ;; if not impossible. Obama is certainly a disappointment but racism and hesitancy seem to be his biggest obstacles. We need to march on Washington and demand single payer.

This is a great show. She is a great , complex and ironic character. If you have not watched this show you are missing an enjoyable thirty short minutes a week.

This guy is a crude and compassionless jerk. I hope his daughter and his son of one of his former wives never sees this. He pretty much manages to insult the elderly, the dying, the middle aged and his wives in a few paragraphs. No wonder he never saw that girl again. Go back to Sweden. Why do we have to bear this torturer?? Obama is sounding like a Cheney apologist. What does Cheney have on Obama and Pelosi and Reid? Must be pretty scary. We were not scared we were horrified that the administration was using lies to promote an invasion of Iraq. Remember the protests? It takes most of us at least a few weeks to unpack the boxes and get to know the new employees. And the guy inherited an eight hundred billion, eight hundred billion dollar give away tho the banks and noone except Bush and Paulsen knows where that money went and Obama is now being blamed for the economy and for trying to put in place a jobs bill. I do agree that his nominees are surely all suspect. Why is he doing that? Why is Dr. Howard Dean not the nominee for HSS? Warner does not belong in the HOF because he maintains that Jesus is the reason for all of his victories so let's take him at his word. The lack of a booth review on the last play makes me wonder why I watch football.

This could be a fun game if it weren't for the fact that Warner is not playing for fans of Arizona or any Jews (or Muslims or whatever) but for Jesus himself. Howard Dean is the defining person who gave me hope the last six years. He should have become our president four years ago but as it turns out he has had a profound effect on our democracy anyway. I am so sad to see him resign. He is the force behind the Obama success.

This probably is the best article I have read about Palin. Thank you for that. I think you made one mistake though in your last paragraph where you implied that Palin had a soul, albeit tarnished. She has no soul at all. As a fellow Alaskan I share your embarrassment that she has wrought upon us. She represents Texans and oklahomans who migrated here to reap the benefits of the pipeline and unfortunately never left. If Wasilla, a methamphetamine strip mall hub, founded and occupied by hate filled bigots and evangelicals , is small town America than we all have a good reason to become urbanites. The only reason she has sixty percent approval rating is that ninety percent of Alaskans are Republicans no matter how it hurts their own self interest.It is not about her.
