America has a rich history of turd parties, but Raff isn't interested in real, grassroots, ground up organizing. You know, rectocranial insertion boy, buildind a party based on what you loftily call "principles", when the principle accomplishment of Raff's career, besides exposing the Corvair forty some years ago, was to clusterhump America in the Gore/Bush fiasco. Piss off. Tell me there would have been no difference. Sit in the lotus position, smoke a fattie, and hold out for nirvana. That'll work. Tell me, you of such incisive logic, when were turd parties most effective in America? 1850's? 1920's? So, what you assholes want is the country in such immediate peril that people will flock to you shearing room to have their wool removed from their eyes. Don't get me wrong- although I could give a Nadir's ass how or if you get me- there is ample reason to reject both parties. Corrupt, ingrown, greed ridden- you know, like most of America politics has ALWAYS been. Blow up fucking Mt. Rushmore. that'll change things. I choose to aim at change that has a chance of actually occurring before I croak. Obama is flawed- duh- but he is the clearest voice (not the Village Voice you prefer) for inspiring participation and a sense of having a stake in the outcome since sixty eight. I worked on Robert Kennedy's campaign in California. Bobby was vague, too. He was trying to get people to believe that their voice could make a difference in the outcome. You can take your one percent fragment and fuck off, or you could take a clear eyed view of what will really take place in November: Obama or McLame will be elected President. If you think there's no difference, fire up another doobie, brother. jeff

Magna Carta and all that outdated rubbish. One vote keeps us from further descent into fascism. If McLame the Warmonger wins, the balance will tip by one or two more votes, at least. If disgruntled Clinton voters needed another impetus to support Obama, this should be it. There is nothing- that's nothing, elephant dick- more central to justice than the writ of habeas corpus. If all the government has to do is wave the "enemy combatant" wand to remove this protection, we are all well and truly screwed.
