media bias

the default bias of the MSM, fuxxsnooze the obvious and noxious exception, is economic. They want money, and the more the better. Oddly, this primary was framed by the media in such a way that, initially at least, Hillary and Obama both had an advantage: they were novel. they made great teevee- the honky honey versus the sweet talkin' darkie. Either way, they had a sideshow. they don't give a damn about the country; that goes without saying. They froze out Edwards and Richardson and Biden and Dodd- just white guys (even thought Richardson is hispanic, he has a white guy name). So it came to pass. One of the novelties had to lose. It wasn't sexism; it was monumental mismanagement by the supposed consummate pros. they got gamed by an alleged rookie. the media didn't care. now, watch them turn on Obama. The thing is, Hillary may well have helped hone his skills for the shit storm that is sure to come. Town meetings: right. Like they'll be spontaneous, unscreened, no plants with prepared questions. that, and a porcine airforce. the good thing is that McLame is vulnerable on so many levels on so many issues I don't think his "maverick" trick is gonna get him by. I sure as hell hope not. Obama has the potential to be a seminal president. God, or goddess, knows we need a jumpstart. jeff

LoveTurds

You're not stupid. You're petty, petulant, short sighted, selfish, childish, and small. None of those are gender-linked characteristics. Play games. Hold out. Pout and wait for someone to show you just exactly the right form of attention. Ignore the fact that this is a watershed election, upon which might very well rest the future of this country as a viable democracy. The Bill of Rights is in tatters. Our reputation around the world is mired in the septic tank. The economy, for middle and lower class working people, is in a death spiral. But make it all about you, all about "women" as if they are monoliths with a single mindset, a single set of needs and priorities. You insult actual feminists by the weakness of your posturing. Strong people don't resort to de facto blackmail, or threaten to vote against their own interests just to show how constipated you are about not getting your own way. Or, you could take a deep breath, try to see what the real world choices are, and vote accordingly. Look, I have some sympathy for what Hillary's supporters feel. My candidate, frozen out by the media, left in February. I chose Obama as the closest of the remaining two to what Edwards was running for: economic justice, stopping the war in Iraq, and a populist approach (which Hillary tried to co-opt, with some success, if not convincing authenticity). I got over it. I still think that Edwards would have won in a walk, but what I think doesn't matter any more. At all. Neither does what you think. The choice is between Obama and McCain. If that's not stark enough for you, I don't think there's anything the Obama campaign could do to dry your little tears and tell you a comforting bedtime story. Grow up. This is a matter, quite literally, of life and death. Many deaths. That's not hypothetical. jeff

heffalump ultradick

have fun this fall trying to defend the worst record of any presidential administration in American history. Worse by far than Grant, Harding, Coolidge, Raygun, or the usual list of corrupt and incompetent fools. Bush is Rove and Cheney's sock puppet; everyone knows that. So if KKKarl and The Dick are so damned smart, why did everything they do- every last fookin' thing, Katrina response being preeminent among them- get screwed up? You fascist bastards can swiftboat yourselves out of this one, Humpnot Heffalump. jeff

McLame Loves War

His whole family lived for it. He was an enthusiastic top gun nuke the gooks bomber when he got shot down. it doesn't take bravery to get captured. he deserves props for enduring what he had to endure, but that wore out a long while back. he's a warmonger. he never met a war he didn't support. His only quarrel with Bush is that we didn't invade more places with more troops. he's a bloodthirsty, serial adulterer and a lobbyist's wet dream. The Bullshit Express is gonna run out of road quite quickly.

the way it was

the wine scene from "Princess Bride", Obama as Wesley and Hill as the crafty Sicilian. A land war in Asia, indeed. Plop.

ready from day five

billary got burned in the kitchen, unaccustomed as she was to cookies, and thus required healing time from the backdraft from her own bullshit. for someone supposedly at the ready for any three a.m. phone call on any subject, it's taking her five day to concede something any sane person could have seen coming two months ago. Shrew.

kudos

thank you, Hilllary. Class at last, when it counted. Of course, we still have the recto-cranial insertion of josie and the pussycats who think Obama is "elitist" because he speaks and thinks so clearly, and doesn't panic under assault. Nose up in the air is better than your head up your ass.

josie and the pussywimps

what a crock of crap. you think you have a corner on difficulties. boo hoo. We're living on a fixed income and may have to sell our house thanks to George and the gang. We contributed money we didn't have to Obama, after our first choice, Edwards, was frozen out by the media. it's your sob sister act that gives Hillary backers the whine and cheese label. Most don't deserve it . You sure as hell do. You want something un-snobby? how about kiss my aging white veteran ass.
