Original article: Barack Obama's epic win

fancy calesthenics

right, Fancy. Obama didn't win. The Cubs are the world series shoe in. That iceberg was a minor mishap. God, how stupid can you people be? Close but no cigar should be a notion familiar to all clintonians. She ran a stupid race, lost an election that was gift wrapped for her, and now will not admit defeat. watch tomorrow as all the democratic leadership, that gives a damn about the party and the overall race in November, will line up with Obama. billary blew a great chance to show class. But, when things get tight, that's what clintons do: blow.

Original article: Obama declares victory

reality bites, again

she congratulated him on the race, not on his victory. hers was the speech of a winner, not the second place finisher. there was no grace. there was no reaching out to heal divisions. there was only, as always with the clintons, me, me and me. she passed up a chance to truly make this a unifying evening as well as an historic one. As shame. A shrew.

people vote for PRESIDENT

I'll give Hillary a day's slack for not having the grace to concede, as any realistic person would have done. but, after that, her primary (no pun intended) role is as an effective surrogate campaigner for the people she supposedly represents- women (as if they're monolithic sheep) and "hard working white people". Let her stump until her pants suits wear out. But don't stick her on the ticket. It would, indeed, draw voters: republikans, who hate her with a white, and I do mean white, heat. She would do far more to energize the fascist froth than to bring her errant followers back into the fold. Better Webb or Richardson, who at least have plausible constituencies in swing states where they might be of use. As VP, she'd be like a case of VD.

Original article: Clinton wins!

three speeches, two stooges

McLame's speech was pathetic. Billary's was self destructive and self centered, petty, bitchy, and small. Obama's was historic, moving, encompassing, welcoming, gracious, and visionary. Gosh, I wonder who'll be President?

Lieberman in Drag

After her turncoat performance tonight, screw her. let her be the junior senator from NY. It's more than she deserves. what a shrew.

Original article: Clinton wins!

deluded douchebag

what a shame. Hillary ran an historic campaign, and deserves great credit for coming as far as she did. but, on a night when Obama clearly, unmistakably, and finally clinched the nomination, she gave an egomaniacal, self centered, small minded, bitter little speech, calling all of the attention to herself. She permanently diminished herself, and it didn't have to be that way. Any sane person could have seen this coming for months. the notion she "needs time" to compose herself or weigh her options is utter bullshit. She's a Clinton, and she blew it.

reality means squat

you have not one glimmer of an idea of the origin or operation of political parties, or how they select their nominees. This is not a general election, einstein. Decades ago, there was not even a veneer of democratic process; the party bigwigs chose. that would have been hillary. the process isn't perfect, God knows, but it's a helluva lot more democratic than the fascist winner take all big money ho-down. If you don't like it, participate and change it. It's our party and we can cry if we want to. Or, we can grow the hell up, dust ourselves off, and kick the fascist bastards out of DC. I vote for option two. jeff.

hairsplitting bitchery

Look, folks. The rules were known to all the candidates. Hillary's people helped write them. Obama planned better, executed better, fundraised better, and strategized better. he won. if if and buts were candy and nuts no one would ever go hungry. all this hypothetical crap about who might or might not have gotten the most popular votes MEANS NOTHING. Zero. Nada. If the rules had been different, Obama would have used his resources differently. He ignorned West Virginnie, and Kentucky, and Arkansas, left Ohio early, because there was nothing to be gained by beating his head against the wall. Hillary blew off the caucus states ON PURPOSE because she was so sure she was going to win. She did not. It's over. Obama or McLame. It's that simple.

compare and contrast

what did Carter do when he got out? Habitat for Humanity. Work tirelessly for peace. LIttle if any money grubbing backslapping buttkissing. You know: dignity. Principles. big bill is just interested in where to put the Big One next. He's one helluva brilliant man who's pissed his legacy into the wind, and some of it landed on his wife, who deserved better.

Hate Bait Kate Bloviates

Even now, nothing but bile. Why don't you try being an adult for a day or two; listen to what Hillary has to say. See what the super delegates tell us. If you think Obama is going to be daunted by bullying by warmonger McLame or the artificial vanilla governor of dairy land, you further demean your former candidate. If he's so easily cowed, how did he come from nowhere to beat a candidate with more money, name recognition, national organization, ties with the party power structure, than any non-president in memory? She bet the farm on super Tuesday. today is foreclosure day. Whether you get over it or not is a decision you make. I doubt you're adult enough to do so, but this has been a season of surprises, hasn't it. Wave goodbye.
