getting screwed

V. Teck screwed themselves by losing 13 games.

Want to get in to the tournament? Win more. It works every year.

Dear Salon Editors

Please find a music critic who actually enjoys and understands music. This is getting embarassing.

Please Salon

This is the worst, laziest journalism I have read in some time. I pay for this. Please find someone who is willing to work harder.

I was not terribly impressed by the Tony Awards last night either. But at least I know why.

I mostly agree

Except that I really like "Mr. Bellamy."

And I'm not stoned.

I promise.

Punishing fans

Nice article.

It is beyond me why any sport would develop rules which punish the fans of the sport.

Doesn't make any sense.

Come up with a different way to punish these guys if you must. But let them do their job.

Dear Mr. Marchese

Your sarcasm is disappointing.

The fact is that you are defending people who broke the law simply because it's such an easy law to break and a lot of people break it.

I could very easily steal things all day. The guy who has the desk next to me is at lunch. I could easily take the ipod he has left on his desk. But I won't. Because stealing is wrong. Seriously.

Whether people steal from major corporations, poor bands, rich individuals, children on the street, it's still stealing.

College students know about intellectual property laws. Every university in the world has a policy of expelling students for plagiarism. There is no excuse.

In short, just because we can and we want to, doesn't mean that we should.

I don't understand...

Why do so many people feel entitled to use material written and or created by other people?

This case seems perfectly clear to me. The words were written by someone else. Now that the author is dead, his work is controled by his family. The family doesn't need to explain themselves in this matter. If they don't want the work used, they get to say so. They own it. That's it.

Intellectual property IS still property.

They are great live

Bryan,

Saw them live last month. They were awesome. And relentless.

It's not right

Why do so many people find it hard to understand that breaking copyright laws is not right?

It is never legal or ok to post the creative work of someone else. Should we take away all artists' rights to their own creations?

Oh great...

I'm going to have this pop gem stuck in my head all weekend.
