my god

If I ever want my daily dose of crazy, all I have to do is turn to the Salon.com comment section. The Inquistion did not involve Catholics killing Protestants... because the Protestant Reformation hadn't occured yet, thus, there were no "Protestants." The Inquistion, for a large part, involved the killing of so-called "heretics," Jews -- like me! -- and whoever else got in the way of reforming the church. I don't actually expect you guys to read books or anything, but you can always look this stuff up on "Wikipedia," you know.

And the stupidification of American continues. Facts? What facts?

cheers,

Oliver Miller

re: Hans B

Cheers, man. I just get tired sometimes... you know? Of dumb people acting like they know what they're talking about. ...You know? I mean, we do live in the information age. People can just look stuff up in 0.05 seconds, if they want. But that's too hard, I guess. But yeah, this is off-topic. So, to get on topic for a second: Go Obama!

best,

Oliver Miller

And

And I meant for my original comment to read, "...and whoever else attempted to reform the church." My bad. ...Anyway, you can carry on with your craziness now, guys. Don't let me stop you. Just say whatever! Let it out!

cheers,

Oliver

Quick question...

...Is Salon attempting to fill its website with intentionaly silly and irritating articles in order to get more comments, and thus, more "hits"? I'm going to go with Yes. Pagilla, Kansas O'Flanherty, Joan Walsh, and now Gary Kamiya... if you've got something intentionally provoking and off-topic to say, then Salon.com is the place for you!

cheers,

Oliver Miller

God Lord...

I just read and commmented on Gary Kamiya's article... and I thought that one was silly. This article is absolutely ridiculous. I only wish that I had a subscription so that I could cancel it. Salon... you get sillier and dumber with each passing day, it seems. ...What's going on with you? Good lord, just write normal articles about the campaign with -- you know -- sources and quotes and logic, and things like that. Stop telling me that I'm a closet sexist homophobic reverse-racist just because I like one Democratic candidate for president better than another.

thanking you in advance,

Oliver Miller

Might I also add...

...That my mother, grandmother, and stepmother are all voting for Obama. And so are all of my female friends, with two exceptions. So out of immediate circle of people that I know, that's... what... about eighteen votes for Obama, and two for Hillary? Are all of my female friends self-hating sexist dinosaurs? And sure, my sample size might be small, and biased, but it can't be any worse, or more biased, or more ridiculous than Mr. McClelland's article.

@ Anonymous

I find it stunning that you, of all people, would tell someone to, quote/unquote, "can it," when you are spamming the Salon.com comments section with literally hundreds, if not thousands of repetative comments. And you've been doing it for months now. Dude, how 'bout growing a sense of shame? Hmm?

Wow

...The comments section is way better now that we got rid of Anonymous posters. ...Salon, you get a thumbs-up from me this time around...

Don't worry about that hypo...

Don't worry, man. She won't win or tie; I guarantee it.

Wednesday, March 5, 2008 06:28 AM

Whoops.

I think I jinxed the campaign. My bad.

...

...Christ, Notorious W.E.S., stop spamming. We get it.

We only get a candidate like Obama once in... well, it's only been a few times before, actually. He's winning, and he'll win. I believe he'll win because I've never felt like this about a candidate before. But yes, if he loses, I'll vote for Hillary Clinton, okay?

God almighty. Why can't we just enjoy our candidates in peace? If you like Hillary, then write in with reasons why you like her; if you like Obama, do likewise. It would all be infinitely better than the current comment situation. Imagine; a comment section where people try to out do each other with positivity. Seems like a beautiful dream, no?

No, Notorious W.E.S.

...It was a request for you to act like a normal human being. I know you don't act like this is real life, unless you randomly walk around getting punched by strangers that you're incredibly insulting to. But you're a Republican troll anyway, soooo...

Stop it. All of you. I'm not going to listen to another seven weeks of this. We complain about the devisive campaigning, but we commentators are ten thousand times worse. And I've done it too. But I'm going to stop now.

Thank you, WES

...That was the calmest comment I've read by you in a long time, and I can't disagree with it at all. Listen, people. This is all going to be okay; but... we need... to chill the f#ck out. ...And again, I'm not exempting myself from that requirement.

I'm done. Back to your normal comment section now.

If we all wish hard enough, do you think that Joan Walsh will go away?

Note to Salon and Sloane.

"All right" is two words. "All [space] right." Not one word. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

The video...

Wow. That video had all the quality level of, let's say, a 10th grade high school AV project. I turned it off midway through the explanation of how Joan "didn't think" that Hill lied. Never again.
