Because we all know

Amanda Knox, the beautifully angelic

good looking women can NEVER commit a crime. Maybe TCF is FOR the courts not being justice blind and for letting the jury get the girl off because she is JUST SO DARN ANGELIC she could not have possibly done such a thing!

But you can bet she would be steaming in her shorts if it happened to be an attractive GUY who was accused.

Such fairness and decency. And we will get more of this during Obama's reign?? When the left will feel free to be hypocritical and judgmental and prejudiced against anyone who is not 'angelic' AND female? God I hope not.

Original article: When filth is not enough

I never claimed Ron Paul is perfect

but at least he is rowing in the correct direction. The two mainstream clowns are most definitely rowing in the WRONG direction.

Yeah, let's get rid of government! Free trade is God, and will save us all. Deregulate everything! Oh wait, we've already been doing that. How's it working out for us right about now?

There are lots of threads of libertarianism, some of which support some government controls. Fewer controls in some things and MORE controls in other things (such as banking) would be quite good.

Oh, and please ask ole' Ron for me how forcing women to carry pregnancies and give birth adds up to no government interference in our lives. I'd also like to know how much jail time women who survive illegal abortions will get. Thanks.

Again, Ron Paul is not all libertarians, he is but one voice. Personally, abortion on command and without input from the father repulses me and makes me automatically ANTI-LEFTIST, despite my being largely centrist.

Again, Ron Paul is not perfect. But he is closer to perfect than the two bought and paid for marionettes mesmerizing everyone (on CUE, per the elite's command-- and just WHO is the puppet and who is the master, supposedly responsible citizens?)

The problem most Americans seem to have is a lack of intelligence or schooling of the proper kind.

You can vote for the cause or you can vote for the effect.

And intelligent person would realize that neither major party candidate will lead us to the correct place as a country. But Americans seem too stupid to realize this.

They see the bright shiny colors and the moving puppets and they have low esteem so they feel they need to join the big shiny bandwagon (or else they feel not worthy of something) RATHER than insisting that 'none of the above' is a valid choice and that the country needs to be reworked from the ground up politically.

Why are people not comfortable standing on their beliefs? Why do they need to feel like joiners and followers rather than active agents in their own lives? That is a sign of STUPIDITY.

A Ron Paul presidency would put the US on the road in the correct direction, but the vast majority are following the crowd, like lemmings.

And yet, you people consider yourselves intelligent? Something does not wash.

The "Middle Way", Kitchengirl?

what is the Middle Way? I'm curious, since we agree on so little else supposedly.

As for the issue of social anxiety-- I finally overcame my anxiety of talking to beautiful women by playing a certain mind game with myself.

I imagine myself to be a sexless eunuch of a male doctor, talking clinically to a peer or a patient maybe. I also tend to focus inward so that I tend not to look at the other person as much and throw off my focus on being charming and witty and just plain ole me.

Also, I have come to realize that I, like a lot of men, tend to look at women (I know. SHOCK), but that this activity apparently upsets women. So, I tend to go into a pattern of avoiding looking at her at ALL at first, look briefly, anticipating her noticing me looking, and look away, thus setting up a passive "look/ anticipate her looking back/ look away" pattern. Early in the encounter, I also tend not to look much at all at her, but try to look deep in thought or focused on other things besides HER.

Once you set up this pattern, it works in your favor, because it makes you less nervous as the conversation has already gotten past the initial stage and ALSO, she begins to wonder why you are not drooling at her UNLIKE 99% of other guys she deals with, WHICH MAKES YOU MORE ATTRACTIVE THAN THE OTHER 99% OF GUYS. GUYS WHO DROOL HER WAY.

At that point, when you get the vibe that she WISHES you looked at her more, you can proceed with being more open and yourself.

It is a sad, sad world that we need to play these internal games with ourselves, but if anyone has a BETTER solution to social anxiety, I WISH they would express it on here.

The fool speaketh

Also I'd really like to see what this brighstar fool looks like.

Attractiveness and looks wise, I sort of resemble that Boston actor in the Bourne movies, if a bit chubbier and the same or a point lower on the looks scale. When I was younger, I am told (when people see my photos from when I was 22ish) that I really resembled a movie star in my demeanor, maybe a young Marlon Brando, but I had little esteem then and, thus, did not parlay it into relationships or sex.

I get attention from women often enough even now, (at least on those weeks I have been eating properly and do not bloat out in the belly)-- indeed I sometimes get attention from VERY attractive women.

But I am not into one night stands and an particular in wanting someone with some substance, interests, complexity, brains and chemistry.

Relationships are a lot of trouble and grief for the relatively little reward. I kind of like my freedom, not being policed and scrutinized constantly by someone else and treated like a borderline potential criminal.
