GOD FORBID I consider marrying in America, where everything is turned against men.

I second the idea that there be strong web sites developed to teach men about pre-nups, to warn them about the myriad manipulations women engage in, and to give men some support in a world that has turned against the male.

I always laugh when I think to myself, seeing ALL the myriad women around me every day, and how many of them, if they have a boyfriend, are being strung along by guys these days who are so scared of the American man grinder called marriage that they refuse, flat out REFUSE, to even consider the possibility of marriage.

Let society sort out why men refuse to submit ANYMORE. We have ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD to save up our fortunes so we can get ALL THE cute hotties we want when we are doddering decades from now.

The war seems to be between two views or ideals of women and how men are involved in women's lives.

On the LEFT, we have women who feel men are the root cause of all problems. Women who give men barely an inch and who are quick to punish men if and when they overstep the arbitrary bounds or minefields the women have set up. These women are very quick to finger the men in their lives as the root of a problem, rather than giving men the benefit of the doubt and working things through. They think men are STUPID tools, unworthy at core of being considered equals on ANY level. These women have no problem constantly nagging government to set up a complete nanny state that makes men OPTIONAL, disposable, useless.

On the RIGHT (how LOVELY!) we have women who understand and acknowledge that both men AND women make the world we live in. These women are more generous to men, not constantly putting men on the defensive. As a result, these women have no problem playing in a man's world, because they naturally have more open minds and eyes and see men for the variety and range of emotions, behaviors, attitudes, thoughts they display. These women are more forgiving of men, they know men work hard and have to deal with a lot of things too. they want to work things out between themselves and their men. Divorce is not the QUICK AND EASY answer, but the end result after ALL OTHER OPTIONS HAVE BEEN EXHAUSTED. Rightwing women may think men can be stupid, sometimes, but they also understand that their own behavior is also being observed, that there is continuity and connection between the sexes and a web of causality that leads to success or failure in a relationship that is not the result of only one person, but of the couple. These women tend to be skeptical of women who seek to whore around and trash men all day long, like left wing women tend to do.

At core, these right wing women tend to LOVE MEN more so than do the left wingers, who consider the ONLY men to be worthy of their affection to be those men who are scam artists, players, and irresponsible ne'er do wells. Of course, the left wing women only feed their own mythology about men being bad by only selecting from among these types of men in the first place, considering responsible, good men to be subversive or worse. This attitude on the left is naturally why the left wing is always MARGINALIZED in this country.

Men naturally gravitate towards the right wing women for this reason. No man wants to be considered useless and unloved.

Even after Bush The Second and the GUARANTEED SURE THING you people were relying on, the Right had just routed you left wing fools YET AGAIN. Too bad too, because I actually like Obama's intelligence.

What they believe, that the US is headed down the wrong path into war and bankruptcy, is what ANY intelligent and aware person who LOVES this nation and what it stands for, and who is not hopelessly married to party politics, SHOULD be believing and thinking.

I believe that therefore for this reason, Palin WILL win, her belief straddling and going BEYOND party politics to a genuine love of this country.

Now, the Alasakan separatism story may be made up, for all I know, maybe she IS just a tool of big oil, but until I see evidence to the contrary, I will tend to believe this connection is genuine.

The View" hosts appeared not to be worried about being labeled elitist (perhaps because their show is populist by definition)

I don't know the View, but from what I've heard, it skews liberal, which, by definition, is elitist.
