Lookie, lookie! "Shooter"'s afraid of Hillary! No wonder his a$$ isn't off in Iraq; he still hasn't let go his own mommie's skirt (and good thing too; his erstwhile comrade would have to put up with the soggy-diaper smell).
You know, you'd almost have to pay most trolls to come up with a one-liner, hardcore proof of Glenn's thesis. But "shooter"'s up to doing it for free, and without any coaching even. Give "shooter" a hearty thanks here, folks.

As far as the potential attackers go, it all looks the same, no? But, all things considered, I think you're a f*ckin' pussy. Hitler came to power (for the most part) "democratically" and "legally". It was only after he'd gotten the Chancellory that he started consoldidatin power and getting rid of the opposition.
But I'll agree with you: The "Reichstag fire" is not proving as successful the second time round. People are getting a little more wary, mainly because Dubya started the more umpleasant things (like war and secret prisons) earlier, before he had really gotten the population behind him. Tough luck for you, Tiberius. Your Republicans will have a hard road to hoe, for quite some time. Too bad you hitched your wagon to him, eh?

Actually, quite a few of us. I think there were plenty that were laying bets in 2000 about how long it would take Dubya, if elected, to get into a war. Lots of commentary at that time from the RW sycophants and enablers about how we were all paranoid and crackpot complete with our latest "magic bullet" theories and tin-foil regalia. The actual answer, sadly enough, probably surprised even a fair number of the more prescient. We weren't paranoid, we were spot-on if not conservative.
Now tell me that current warnings about creeping fascism are more moonbat conspiracy rantings. We have the RW wingnuts pegged, I tellya. We were right!!!.

Go to a gathering of GWOT or Vietnam combat vets and lay that bullshit on them, about how their experience under fire doesn't give them any credibility over some book-learned asshole with a degree in history and a belly full of theoretical war fighting strategy, -- or some pencil-necked, four-eyed blogger from Salon.

The above 'rebuttal' by Mr. Owen puts to mind a conversation I heard on RW talk radio foamer Mike Gallagher's show a while back, talking about NYC police about the Diallo/Louima time period. Some caller had termed the NYC cops "pigs", which lit Gallagher's fuse. Then some RW fomer eedjit calls and starts deriding that previous caller, saying he'd like to see this previous caller if some cops ever caught him alone in an alley somewhere (or words to that effect), and Gallager was agreeing with the sentiment. <*SHEESH! STOOPID!...*> These RWA morons really don't have any ability to see themselves, or to think about what it is that they're saying.
Mr. Owens better attempt to think about what I'm saying. Or just FOAD.
