I do see you on occassion making an effort to make it clear that you don't subsribe to the anti-Semitic views of a particular commenter. But you have an obvious self-interest in maintaining credibility. I almost never see other commenters getting exercised by naked anti-Semitism.

You really are clueless, aren't you? Are you honestly suggesting that Glenn keeps his "anti-Semitism" under wraps to be PC?!?!?

    Cheers,

I think the answer is that, unfortunately, the Left treats everything held dear to the Right as anathema....

    Horse-manure.

... One of those things is support for Israel. It used to be a bi-partisan sentiment, but it's increasingly becoming more associated with the Right due to the Bush polarization factor.

You misspelled Israel's misguided policies. I used to be far more pro-Israel when I was younger, but that changed long before the Deciderator-In-Chief was even a gleam in Rove's eye. The U.S.S. Liberty was the start of it, I think. The murder of Rabin, Shatilla and Sabra, and the invasion of Lebanon more baby steps. Then the Wall and the bulldozing of Palestine. They've come a long way, baby.

    Cheers,

I strongly suspect that GW thinks that Santayana is the guy who attacked the Alamo.

I suspect he thinks it's the guy that wrote "Won't get fooled again...." ... no ... wait .... who was that?

But when the criticism is so demonstrably one-sided, manipulative of the facts and wholly uninterested in reaching a realistic and enlightened policy, then it is veering into questionable moral territory....

Or it could be that the facts are perhaps not as clear-cut as you might think?!?!?

... Likewise, relentless criticism of wildly exaggerated influence on the part of certain American Jews,...

Perhaps there's some exaggeration, but when you get the entire Washington Who's Who™ to come parade before the AIPAC, where Cheney is getting the biggest applause, maybe there is something there?

As pointed out, of course, the Likudnik folks are far from the only warmongers around (including Mr. "GFY" Cheney, not to mention the likes of the Christian RWers (for an interesting symbiosis, check this out: "http://patriotboy.blogspot.com/2007_03_11_archive.html#1010393134400288899"). And then there's the MIC folks, and the LGFoamer contingent.

... littered with attacks on their motives and accusations of treasonous dual loyalty is also veering into questionable moral territory.

I dislike and condemn the "dual loyalty" charge. Besides the sorry history of this epithet, I don't find dual loyalty to be an impossible POV. I think that it would be more accurate to point to those people whose actions go to the detriment (at least as I see it) of one of their supposed "loyalties", and point out that they oviously don't have the best interests on that party highest on their list of priorities (and this is hardly a legitimate case of "dual loyalty"). Fine, but if that's the case, then in the interest of honesty but they and I should admit that and respond accordingly. For those in public office in the United States, acting against U.S. interests ought to be a big "no-no".

I can't believe I'm reading this column. Jimmy Carter, a hero to liberals for his post-presidential peacemaking efforts, is being threatened with murder by a leader of a mass, global movement, and all Greenwald can muster in response is an irate whine about whether or not Howard Kurtz is going to do a tit-for-tat column about "Little Green Footballs?"

Ummm, no. He's jes' wondering why the foaming RW are giddy with glee that Carter was (supposedly) a target (and bemoaning the lack of success). I'd think that you might want to ask yourself the same question.

    Cheers,

I think much of the venom here is coming out because LGF, as far as I can tell, is a place where people unabashedly tell the truth about Islam.

OIC. That's where you're coming from, eh? Kid of like "the truth" about the WoMD, about the "Axis of Evil", about Saddam being the Great Satan, about the Iraq war being the greatest thing since sliced bread, about Rachel Corrie looking great as a pancake, and such. You know, the things I'd just never know unless I went to the RW foamer pages.....

    Cheers,
