A bunch of hooey - and too kind by far.
[Read the article: A tragic legacy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Okay, Okay - I get the alleged Manichean dialectic of good and evil that informs our clueless leader's behavior - but the problem with Mr. Greenwald's theory is that he apparently BELIEVES all the Bush bullshit about the struggle between good and evil. Which smells to me of rank naivete on Greenwald's part - and a successful sales job by Bush.
Bush claims to be a Christian. A Methodist, specifically. Let's be plain - a good Christian does not mock and make fun of persons he is about to execute. Bush is no Christian - it is a cynical ploy playing to the most ignorant and irrational sector of the electorate - the ones with hot buttons he can press all the way from Crawford Texas.
Bush claims to be a man of ethics and integrity - yet while he was on the aduit committee of the board of directors of Harken Chemical, he ignored the specific warning of the legal separtment NOT to sell his stock pending a re-statement of earnings - sold the stock the next day - and screwed the buyer out of $800,000. These are not the actions of an ethical man.
What Bush is - is a LIAR and a FRAUD. You can add international war criminal and murderer if you want; there are certainly facts to back up the accusations.
Greenwald can have his Manichean hypothesis. For my money - it just means Glenn bought into the hype, and by his theory, reinforces the meme of Bush as a man struggling to do right.
Bullshit. Bush is a common criminal who has been uncommonly successful.

Poco - shut the pie hole, please.
[Read the article: A tragic legacy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Its true the Democrats are bumblers - but at least they're trying. Bush is 200 pounds of evil dog shit in a 100 pound sack. He's TRYING to be the evil asshole he is.
-
Why are the Democrats playing patty-cake with this asshole?
[Read the article: The continuing saga of Hans von Spakovsky]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Why don't the folks on the committee just tell him: Forget it, fuckface, we're never going to approve your nomination, not in a million years, no how, no way, go home, siddown and shuddup!!
Let's face it - there will be NO PUBLIC OUTCRY if some guy named Hans von Spakovsky

He sounds like one of the heels from professional wrestling, for cryin' out loud.

We're fighting to protect the Glorious Legacy of our Brave, Kind and Good Commander-in-Chief!!
[Read the article: What are we fighting for?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Bush - an inveterate coward and liar - wants to be able to skate out of office in January '09 able to claim - however erroneously or disingenuously - that Iraq was not lsot on HIS WATCH.
So - I say to the families of the 14 troops - I hope that preserving the legacy of the worst president in the history of the republic was worth the life of your loved one.
And if it wasn't - join us in marching on Washington, D.C. and demanding the impeachment, removal, indictment, trial, conviction and sentencing of the criminal George Walker Bush.
-
Let me boil this down for you:
[Read the article: White House: Trust the "sole enforcer"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The White House spokesperson tells the press the president never intended special treatment for the VP's office.
The VP's office tells the President: "Fuck you, we don't need no stinkin' badges."
The President is too afraid of Dick's errant 12 gauge to do jackshit about it.
Move along . . . nothing to see here . . .
-
Is there . . .uh . . . some metric they could point to that says we're winning???
[Read the article: "The wrong metric"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Cause I keep reading these stories where General after General after General says we're screwed and the best we can hope for at this juncture is to avoid a total catastrophe.
So - it Pace has some metric in mind - would he like to share with us?????

John F. Kennedy actually took to heart the clear warning that Dwight D. Eisenhower left for us:
[Read the article: It's about Time]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"We must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex."
So, JFK stood up to the powers-that-be (the same folks who have installed Dick Cheney, by the way): he pulled the plug on the Bay of Pigs; he refused to launch their war for them during the Missile Crisis; he was preparing to withdraw from the insanity of Viet Nam; plus - he fired Allen Dulles, the architect, along with brother John Foster, of the overthrow of the duly elected governments in Iran and Guatemala. And he got whacked: surprise, surprise.
Would we believe a single bullet theory on the Sopranos???
Then RFK announced if he won the presidential election in '68 -he would smash the CIA into 1,000 pieces. Then he won the all-important California primary. And he got whacked: surprise, surprise.
Would we believe a lone nut theory on the Sopranos? With the girl in the polka-dot dress, gunpowder residue on the back of Bobby's head and the fact that Sirhan never got closer than 3-4 feet away. Plus, more bullets fired than the revolver held.
If nothing else, we're #1 when it comes to lone assassins of a conservative bent.

I have been long opposed to capital punishment . . . BUT
[Read the article: Ten things about Dick]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]after the impeachment of Dick Cheney, and the trial to the Senate, and the guilty verdict and removal, and the subsequent indictment, trial and conviction by a jury of his peers for crimes against the Republic and against humanity in general . . . a nice public execution - heck - make it pay-per-view so it becomes a way to offset the costs of prosecution - might serve as a deterrent to future potential crimes by high office holders.
One of the biggest mistakes in Watergate was not impeaching Nixon, and allowing Ford to pardon him. If Nixon had spent the remainder of his life in Leafvenworth, instead of gazing at the Pacific from El Casa Pacifica in San Clemente . . . perhaps Bush and Cheney would have been less inclined to shit upon the Constitution, the Geneval Conventions and the US Code.

Impeach. Remove. Indict. Try. Convict. Imprison. Rinse. Repeat . . .
[Read the article: White House refuses to comply with subpoenas]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]the vaunted cleansing of the Augean Stables will be as child's play compared to the effort necessary to remove the stench from the West Wing. Bringing the rotting corpses of Bush/Cheney's foul deeds to the light of day will require mythic girding of the loins . . . I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that his justice cannot sleep forever. -Thomas Jefferson

Fred Fielding might have been a real person at some time in the distant past . . .
[Read the article: White House: Transcripts are a "perjury trap"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]now he's just an irrelevant sack of shit doing his best to postpone the inevitable.
Give it up, Fred, you worm
