  • Our foreign policy is based on a clear premise: We trust that people, when given the chance, will choose a future of freedom and peace.

[Read the article: Quote of the speech]

Except, of course, in Guatemala and Iran in 1953, and Chile under Allende, and Vietnam when we called off the elections promised in the Geneva Accords in 1956, and Nicaragua under the Sandanistas, and Venezuela with Chavez and Bolivia & Evo Morales and Saddam Hussein in Iraq and Ahmadinejad in Iran . . . and . . . well, you catch my drift.

What a pathetic lying piece of shit George Bush is.

  • What - a misstatement of fact by someone named Clinton??

[Read the article: Fact-checking Clinton on Iraq]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Preposterous.

While both the former and would-be Clinton Administrations have played fast and loose with the facts, we should never forget that George Bush and Company have raised government lying to a heretofore unknown level.

  • Once again Faux News stands in the Vanguard of those supporting our First Amendment rights to free speech.

[Read the article: John Gibson wants rappers arrested for their lyrics]

Interesting position for the "media" to take about their own right to say what they want.

  • If Hillary wants the debates so bad . . . perhaps she should pay for them?

[Read the article: Clinton campaign continues pressing for debates ]

    Oooops . . . I forgot . . . no money.

  • Bobby Knight was my JV coach in high school. His first year out of Ohio State.

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The first week of practice some goofy 15 year old screwed up the layup drill, and Knight hit him in the head with a clipboard so hard the clipboard broke in two.

Knight in two words: loudmouth asshole.

  • Crazy Old Coot™ Chimes In. Nation Yawns.

Could Johnny-boy figure out a way to look any older mor more out of it? Why doesn't he start pushing a walker around - it'll energize his base.

  • If he does debate her - he'll mop the floor with her.

[Read the article: "Maybe he'd prefer to give speeches"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

He's trying to give her a dignified way out of her embarrassing situation.

  • John McCain has been preparing his whole life to be Commander-in-Chief in wartime = Bullshit

[Read the article: Hewitt lives to propagandize another day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

John Sidney McCain III (aka Crazy Old Coot™) was preparing to be Commander in Chief by graduating 5th from the bottom at Annapolis? By crashing 5 aircraft? By leapfrogging over senior officers due to his Admiral old man?

Or perhaps he was honing his skills at graft and corruption by being one the "Keating Five" congressmen who investigated on ethics charges for strenuously helping convicted racketeer Charles Keating after he gave them large campaign contributions and vacation trips.

Charles Keating was convicted of racketeering and fraud in both state and federal court after his Lincoln Savings & Loan collapsed, costing the taxpayers $3.4 billion. His convictions were overturned on technicalities.

McCain intervened on behalf of Charles Keating after Keating gave McCain at least $112,00 in contributions. In the mid-1980s, McCain made at least nine trips on Keating's airplanes, and three of those were to Keating's luxurious retreat in the Bahamas. McCain's wife and father-in-law also were the largest investors (at $350,000) in a Keating shopping center; the Phoenix New Times called it a "sweetheart deal."

Is that what Mr. Hewitt means????

  • But what about the pig fuc*ing?????

[Read the article: McCain speaks on New York Times story]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

In 1948, during his first race for the U.S. Senate, Lyndon Johnson was running about 10 points behind, with only nine days to go. He was sunk in despair. He was desperate. And it was just before noon on a Monday, they say, when he called his equally depressed campaign manager and instructed him to call a press conference for just before lunch on a slow news day and accuse his high-riding opponent, a pig farmer, of having routine carnal knowledge of his barnyard sows, despite the pleas of his wife and children.

His campaign manager was shocked. 'We can't say that, Lyndon,' he supposedly said. 'You know it's not true.'

'Of course it's not true!' Johnson barked at him. 'But let's make the bastard deny it!'

  • What else do you have to know about William Haynes?

[Read the article: Quote of the day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The asshole would let potentially innocent men be convicted just to satisfy his pathetic need to follow Bush dicta. He should be stripped of his bar membership for his comments.

  • "at least it's a woman"????? Have you LOOKED at the photos of Cindy McCain.

[Read the article: McCain speaks on New York Times story]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

That ain't no HUMAN woman I've ever seen. It's clearly a model CLH-54 'borg unit complete with BarbiTone platinum hair and full mucusoid duvetyne pleasure pak.

I had one of those models in the 90's, but post-millenium I traded it in on one of thenewed models, with greatly improved small-motor skills and BlueTooth technology.

She's pretty outdated now, and it explains his choice of the VI-68 replacement lobbyist he's been spotted with...

  • A lie from the Crazy Old Coot™? Is anyone surprised . . . he IS a Republican, after all.

[Read the article: Part of McCain's denial appears untrue]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

My favorite McCain stories have to do with his days as a fly-boy, however, especially in light of his comment about never abusing the public trust.

The son and grandson of Navy admirals, John Sidney McCain III was foisted upon the Naval Academy where he distinguished himself by graduating 5th from the bottom in his class.

Apparently one of the things he failed to learn was how to fly good:

His first crash came when he attempted to land.

His second crash occurred when he violated regulations, flew too low, caught some power lines and crashed his jet in Spain.

His third crash came when he was stationed in the US and borrowed a plane to fly to the Army-Navy game in Philadelphia.

The fourth and fifth jets lost were probably NOT his fault. #4 was hit by an errant missile on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier, and #5 was when he crashed or was shot down over North Vietnam.

What I'd like to know is, how many millions of $$$$$$$$$$$$ were destroyed by this immature hotrodder when he was entrusted with US taxpayer property he kept wrecking and wrecking and wrecking?

  • Now, now . . . you can't expect Elephantdude to include facts in his addle-pated prattling.

He so enjoys being the NeoGrinch, so we can all tolerate him in a slightly bemused manner . . .

  • Just hang on a few more years, America, help is on the way!

Twenty years of seasoning and Chelsea will be ready to go to the mat for the middle class . . .

  • When assholes get rich . . .

[Read the article: Zell: Clinton, Obama partially to blame for economic woes]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

you could wind up with a Zell.

And speaking of Zell ..... has he noticed what's going on with newspapers lately? They're all gonna go the way of the dinosaurs.

Will that be Hillary and Obama's fault, too?

  • Has it been established that Barack Obama is going to be called as a witness in this matter? Was he named in the indictment? Is he on any proposed witness list? Was he deposed during discovery?? If not . . . what's yer fucking point?

[Read the article: Jury selection begins in Rezko trial]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Upon what is the speculation based that he WILL have to testify; or that he has anything relevant to say about Rezco. Do you call this purest speculation journalism or masturbation?? Has he stopped beating his wife?????

  • RE: Daily Tracking Polls

[Read the article: Jury selection begins in Rezko trial]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

You might want to go to a daily tracking poll with some integrity, i.e., Gallup, not the hack Rasmussen, in which case you would see that as of yesterday, the gap was now Obama 50 - Clinton 42 . . . with trend lines widening.

    Rasmussen. As if.

  • Promised him a spot on the ticket?? He did more than that . . .

. . .I heard McCain secured Crist's endorsement by promising hot man-on-man-on-man sex with McCain, Crist and Larry Craig at the Seminole Rest Area at Mile Marker 94 on I-95 !!

    That's what I HEARD!!!
