[Read more letters about this article: Here]Speculation per se caused a huge disruption in the east Asian economies in the mid 1990's. Soros was at the vanguard of that meltdown. The Chinese government takes a somewhat jaundiced view of it just because he's not a political leader of a country. Since they (the Chinese) view modern warfare along many axes only a few of which are traditional state army against state army driven. Economic warfare is a real thing. At least to them it is. Americans I think are naive on the point to the point of stupidity. Economics is either wonderfully good like U2 Benefits for Africa, or it's entirely evil like capitalism etc etc.
I'll give you real world example. In Congo, about 5.4 million people have died in what some call Africa's first world war. But overwhelmingly those deaths were because of famine and disease caused by the social and economic disruption attendant to the fighting and not the fighting itself. This is why food is weapon, rape is a weapon, resources are a weapon. That's what economic warfare is. So that's why the Chinese take a parochial view towards anyone who mucks with their economic well being.

They've already selected the usual suspects in their own party if they lose against the GOP. It won't be the GOP that beat them it will be the other Democrats who were not dipped in the holy doctrine.
It's also a little early to call out the obligatory 'racists' at this point in lieu of actual campaigning. I would suggest they sniff the tears hike up their pants slap on their Birkenstocks and campaign.
