[Read the article: Remembering Sydney Pollack]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Only that the general sense of taste or value of the average Salon reader is several steps below dogshit. It's like asking the retarded kid who eats glue what he thinks of butterflies.
So what do you think of butterflies? Do tell us. We'd love to hear.

[Read the article: Remembering Sydney Pollack]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Great art is a lot of things. What it's not is that cribsheet of bullshit you saved from English Lit 150. So fuck off, poser. Lest ye be hurled headlong from the ethereal sky with hideous ruin and combustion down to bottomless perdition there to dwell.

Who cares?
[Read the article: Now, McClellan a harsh critic of Bush]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You seem to think that everyone everywhere is imbued with the holy light of what they entirely believe is a just and noble cause. Maybe it was just a job to him to move on to the next phase of his life. McClellan's and Bush's families go back a long time in Texas politics so they threw little Scotty a bone and gave him a job where all he had to do was read cards. I'm sure it didn't matter in the least whether anyone believed him or not. I remember open laughter from the Press Corps several times at the patently inane things he said. Straight up Iraqi Information Minister silliness.
If someone told me to I could talk shit for a few years and parley that into millions, I would. It's not as if the press ever bothered to go after the story, ever.

So to sum up
[Read the article: I'm in my 20s, but Wii Fit thinks I'm middle-aged!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You're a big fat lumpy load and you're outraged that the machine might actually be right.
So why on God's Deep Fried Earth did you buy it again?
Don't worry though if you're like the other 85% who go to the gym religiously, you'll have the same wheezing lumpy fishbowl shape 5 years from now.
The best thing you can do with the Wii Fit is jam the refrigerator door with it.
-
Well that's pretty sad if you're 29
[Read the article: I'm in my 20s, but Wii Fit thinks I'm middle-aged!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]And you have the body of a 50 year old. It can't be a real shocker to you. It's like on the mid day talk shows and some mall rhino trundles out crying about being 100lbs overweight. Really? You didn't notice before? We did.
Anyway all you folks are the antismoking Nazis I bet. Funny thing is, you're next.

The 'media' never spent one erg of energy questioning them
[Read the article: Now, McClellan a harsh critic of Bush]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]McClellan's right. The press did squat for years, they never bothered to even pretend to do their jobs. The White House office of agitprop isn't there to do their jobs for them. Instead we have 'new media' 100% retarded op-ed blogging like Glenn Greenwald which is mostly just complaining about other complainers peppered with a healthy dose of lies and bullshit.

where's a rollback of helmet laws when you really need it?
[Read the article: Playing soldier]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Please won't someone think of the children.

Dr. Cole never offers how involved or uninvolved this group is
[Read the article: John McCain's Arab-American problem]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I would suggest that if Arab Americans want to get some positive results from the political process then they have to be involved and not wait on the sidelines to be asked.
The other part of the equation and one the Salontrons willfully disregard is the large and growing Indian American influence in politics. For example, while it's very PC for Cynthia McKinney to blame all the Jews for her loss a few years ago in fact it was an organized and well funded effort by Indian Americans in the form of USINPAC that helped unseat her.
Not those damn Jews you say? Gadzooks how can that be? Well McKinney during her candidacy stood on the steps of the Capitol in public support with a group of Pakistanis who openly declare war on Hindus in Kashmir and India and we quick to claim responsibility for several suicide bombings in India that killed hundreds.
People don't tend to like that sort of stuff no matter if your revolutionary headscarf matches your shoes or not. But liberal blogs, antenna ever perked for anything that could be construed as the Gweat and Tewible Lobby!!!!!!! of course just wrote down what McKinney told them.
So I would suggest to Dr. Cole that the path to justice is involvement not bleating.

Too bad the fat bastards couldn't protest the war
[Read the article: Playing soldier]

[Read the article: Remembering Sydney Pollack]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Because movies are movies and art is art. Let's not get too too far ahead of ourselves here in the land of TV reviews that go on for 9 weeks about BSG, Lost and Buffy the Vampire slayer. Pollack was a good enough workman in his craft a long time ago. I mean when Neil Simon dies is anyone going to care about anything he's done in the last 20-25 years? Nope.
-
Well its better than nothing
[Read the article: I'm in my 20s, but Wii Fit thinks I'm middle-aged!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The Soccer Mommy Security Squadron where I live want to ban outdoor use of iPods, headphones and such while walking. Because it's dangerous. I'm waiting for mandatory bike helmets for everyone all the time. So if the other option is getting a ticket from a traffic cop for illegal use of an iPod and failure to wear proper head covering at all times, I guess you're still free in the America to do those things indoors by yourself. For now.

This is a great example of what's screwed up
[Read the article: Playing soldier]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Americans would rather 'recreate' their way to some halfassed symbolic throwaway gesture than do or say anything meaningful.
-
But that's not actually what HE said vulcan
[Read the article: John McCain's Arab-American problem]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]he said, and I quote from the very article you link to:
"...These events 'swung American public opinion in our favor.'"
The line you quote is an editorial adder by Haartez. But of course you knew that already. When you get your instructions from Hamas next time, try a little harder.

I just love the way Salon has leant its name and reputation to people like Vulcan
[Read the article: John McCain's Arab-American problem]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]That is awesome that racist antisemitic holocaust denial is officially mainstream now. Salon Uber Alles!

It's a black day at Salon when minor genocidal maniacs can't be honored. Sniff a tear for me, Vulcan.

Mostly it's time to retire the term "media"
[Read the article: Scott McClellan on the "liberal media"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]They've been dead or dying for years and they're not coming back. It's all bullshit all the time yapping heads and furious barking typists and op-ed crud. All anyone is left with is preaching from the heights of their own convictions. I have a blog and some opinions therefore I am media.
Not.
