I am on my 3rd home

On the other hand, if you buy an old beater that you know needs major rework why are you shocked when it's time to do it? Got rot? Need a roof? AC units old? Water heater old? Windows look messed up? Any brothers in law 'fixed' the wiring? Mould? Water damage? Cracked septic line? Cracked septic tank? Hard water? Got squirrels? Got bats? Got woodpeckers? Got asbestos?
If you buy some 'cute' or 'quaint' 1907 gingerbread house, you're going to want to shoot yourself unless you are 100% fully prepared to tear out and do whatever it takes to fix. Ever see a house crack off the foundation? Ever see hydraulic clay lift one side of a building? Ever have bees?
On the other hand renters treat your house like shit so there's not a huge bonus for you to repair everything up to 5 star standards either.

Hell has a 5-6 hrs radius

So Raleigh - Baltimore by car is faster and cheaper than flying. And if you fly SW and have to change in BWI then the radius of hell extends further. That's about the same distance as Raleigh - Athens Ga or Raleigh - Knoxville btw. So the next time I have to go to Memphis or Nashville or Louisville I'll fly but less than that it's just stupid.

Biden sort of makes Joe's case. He doesn't explain what their policies are, he makes raspberry noises and says nanny-nanny-poo-poo. Which is, in case you didn't notice, exactly what sunk his candidacy. Being "awesome" is painfully short of being a credible candidate outside of the angry populist twits who lick this stuff up.

You would think based on the near daily diatribes here about one Senator that Democrats were planning oh I don't know, an impeachment or a criminal trial or something. But rest assured that will never happen. Democrats haven't the balls to do that and they never will. They won't even publically complain about GOP Senators, because there might be a backlash. Nope. They sit contented on their fat asses screaming about Lieberman because it's safe, it's PC, and no one will ever hurt them back for it. There is no "I" party to get in their shorts.
And oh, Lamont lost his election. So unless you have a time machine it's time to get over that one.

Like the Soviet backed military arm of the ANC in South Africa in the 1970's they were freedom fighters too. Of course if you ask the families of the 12,000 anti-communist Muslims in Zambia they helped to massacre in 1974 you might get a different opinion.
Hell even Pablo Escobar was a freedom fighter to some. The freedom to kill people and sell cocaine.
