Cold fishslap in the face of Dems
[Read the article: Will McCain denounce Floyd Brown?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]While you folks were blogging and pussyfooting around debating who's black/feminist enough and politely agreeing that yes, those GOP neanderthals are quite ugly and unpleasant, they were carefully planting bombs to blow up in your faces.
Sorry, but if all you can muster is polite restrained irritation that you are being called down from your lofty perches to address such hooliganism, then I'm afraid you should all take your rainbow farting unicorns and ride home. It's over.
THIS is what they had planned for you all along and it's only going to get worse. Do you honestly think the GOP gives a shit how any Dem candidate will show in a national election in NC? They haven't been a blue state since Eisenhower for Chrissake. No, it's a test case, to see how this works in a safe haven. And then they'll roll it out where it can really hurt you.
But you'll just flit and stay above the fray in your peculiar effete way, never engaging them and letting the half of the electorate still on the fence believe that you really are the weaklings the GOP says you are.
You have to scorch the earth with their bodies. You have to exterminate them. You have to lie steal cheat and drag up every greasy chunk of shit you can to throw at them. You have to get their election flunkies to quit in shame, you have to catch them with their pants down. You have to hound them and punish them and beat their smug fucking faces into pulp then piss on the bodies, cut off their heads and throw them to the dogs. You have to destroy them before they destroy you. You have to get prosecutions going. You have to get Rove locked up or disappeared NOW. You need to mount protests in front of the goddamn White House NOW. You need to surround Haggee's house and threaten him personally. You have to go all in and aim a gun at their heads.
Or you can rent "An Inconvenient Truth" on DVD and talk about how wonderfully brilliant you are.

Walter; shut the hell up
[Read the article: Whose fault is the Clinton-Obama stalemate?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The GOP horde is just over the hill and you're quibbling about who's goddamn chicken salad is more authentic.
Is there's something broken in your head? Did you eat paint when you were a kid? WTF is wrong with you?

Well at least we turned this into another hate the Jews Salon pile on
[Read the article: Charles Krauthammer on the evils of associating with terrorists]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Because that's related to Weather Underground, which even Todd Gitlin one of the founders of the SDS said then and says now were a bunch of terrorists.
But come to think of it, I support terrorism too. This week was the anniversary of Hezbollah's bombing of the Beirut Marine Barracks, which killed 241. I am grateful for the peaceloving people of peace of Hezbollah lighting the way for free people's everywhere. We need more of that, here, in the US of A.

George Washington was a terrorist
[Read the article: Charles Krauthammer on the evils of associating with terrorists]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Whereas Che, who admitted to being present at the firing squad executions of hundreds of people summarily 'tried' by 'people's revolutionary courts' was a man of peace and liberation.

Whereas CNN simply handed over the mike to the Syrian ambassador and then went out for a smoke
[Read the article: Skepticism toward Bush claims about Syria and North Korea]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I'm not convinced that's actual news reporting. Maybe it is, maybe it's what goes for reporting in this blogerific world we live in.

Skepticism?
[Read the article: Skepticism toward Bush claims about Syria and North Korea]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You decided a long time ago that if anyone but you says "White" you say "Black". Which is fine if you have anything to substantiate that. Otherwise you're just spouting polemic the same as everyone else.
Given the history of Syria, its open involvement with Hezbollah and the Iranian Army, its open admission that its had a hand in the assassination of Lebanese leaders, its open admission that it imported Chinese 802C Silkworm cruise missiles, handed them over to Hezbollah which used one to hit an INF Frigate as well as CSIS reports dating back ten years that it was attempting to develop SOME kind of WMD program albeit one that's fairly low key as well as news in the last 6 months, confirmed by Russia that Russia had decided not only forgive billions of dollars in outstanding defense equipment debts, but that it also sold Syria SRBM systems which had to be modified at the last minute to comply with international export protocols, given all that, what evidence do you have that this facility was a goat farm, or whatever they claim it was and why would you believe it unless you had a need or desire to, whatever they said?

[Read the article: Ask the pilot]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I used to fly a lot. I know have a few hundred thousand FF miles that are essentially useless because of the layover routing the Airline insists is a connecting flight e.g. 31 hrs end to end from RDU (Raleigh, NC) to Albany, NY or St. Petersburg Florida.
Do I get to my destination? Yeah about 80% within 12 hrs of the advertised time. About 90% at all. 10% are just cancelled. So I guess if you include renting a car on my own dime and driving, yeah I get there.
Were they courteous? I don't actually care. I mean they weren't physically abusive. I didn't get tased, fondled, punched or murdered.
Did the plane crash? No not yet. Only had one flame out on takeoff and one instance of multiple tire blowouts on landing.
So their fuel charges are higher? Boo Hoo. So are mine.

With about 1 out of 10 Americans with close contact with the law enforcement system in this country
[Read the article: Interrogating Abu Ghraib]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I tend to worry more about what we do to prisoners here. It's all well and good to tack up Iraq as a metaphor for all that's bad about the US but wouldn't it be better to focus on what really is?
