  • You'd better hope that reality matches your arrogance

If you really think that Hyperchrist Obama-Ra doesn't even have to campaign at this point and magical doves will spread rainbows of multiethnic peace while the Ensconced One sits at home finally being proud of America you are probably overestimating the gaming odds. One thing you do have going for you is that voter registration is way up. In other words, it more or less matches what the grass roots GOP ops have done for years, banging on doors and such.

Anyway, everyone knows that Dems have to win by >5% or it gets chucked to the Supreme Court, which has already voted.

Good luck with that angry effete smugness though.

  • I blame someone

I shake my fist and heaven.

  • Maybe you'd need the book yourself

If you'd be freaked out if your mom came home with 2 black eyes, maybe you'd be just the audience for a glorified office pamphlet such as this. I'm sorry but if you're trying to use this as an excuse to excoriate the entire plastic surgery industry your missing the mark. I'm pretty sure that some woman in her 20's or 30's is capable of making that informed consent herself without needing your political diatribes to dissuade her from making the wrong choice.

  • Who's idea was to mimic the image of Saddam's statue with a Texan?

I really like that. It plugs directly into left wing bigotries.

  • So I was watching the local news yesterday

And they captured in a graphic everything what's wrong. "Balance". We're Balanced! But News isn't supposed to be balanced. We don't want news to be balanced. Do you know why?

Because news is supposed to be facts, information. It's not supposed to be points of view. It's not supposed to be some half assed gaggle of fat screaming guys pretending to know something. News is data. There isn't supposed to BE anything to "Balance"

"Today on NBC, BOTH sides of the Gravity Issue and how it can effect your childrens' health"

"We're Fair AND Balanced! Because it might be raining or it might not be raining right now. You NEED to know all sides of this difficult issue."

You see - somewhere along the line the 'news' and I count the bloggers like Glenn among them - got confused and thought we all needed to replace information with their opinions because God forbid anyone think a complete thought on their own. Balance means that some disconnect gigantic head somewhere is sifting through information and determining which predigested bits of it they can spoon out to you to ensure that they lead you to the conclusion they want to have while you pretend that you arrived at it on your own.

And of course the OTHER side of this issue is that people are monkeys and can't tell one idea from another, good or bad, right or wrong. Everything is everything. All Hail Postmodernism.

  • I bet you haters are the same ones who complain about other people's soap too

I bet everything this side of the Bronze Age just irritates the shit out of you.

  • When you have little if anything to say

Saying it 21 times doesn't make it sound better or deeper. All candidates positions boil down essentially to

"I'm for what's right and good while my opponent is a misguided fool. I promise to do all that is right and good. Details? Well those are hard to pin down now but trust me when I tell you I am thinking and feeling very seriously about all the the things that are important."

Some people are better at bullshit than others. Hillary Clinton for example for all her life in the public eye is not a good public speaker and not a good extemporaneous speaker. She always SOUNDS forced. Whether it is or not is irrelevant. Obama though has a better ear for his audience and can subtly ratchet up the down home corn pone on demand much better. He can black it up, and then black it down again when he needs to. He's not saying anything of any more value, he's just better at saying it.

So what's the point? If you don't recognize by now that none of them have anything concrete to say about anything and you're voting for the best ad campaign and not a candidate, then maybe you should stay home on election day like millions of other fat stupid Americans.

Venezuela pumps money out of the ground and spends it not on infrastructure but on state of the art Sukoi Russian fighter jets and foreign 'aid' largesse in the region to extort political influence. Unemployment is over 20% and its Chavez payout to armed gangs that keeps the rural poor in line.

In Russia a combination of rampant corruption, poor quality high sulfur oil and those pesky wars in the Caucuses through which their pipelines run that put a crimp in production.

In Nigeria, Islamic 'militants' regularly blow up the oil infrastructure in the Niger delta, when they're not busy murdering foreign oil workers.

They make Mechicho look positively modern in comparison.

If you want to look at countries/regions that can actually benefit from foreign oil companies look at Angola and Equitorial West Africa, and Brazil.

  • I got an email from Red Ken's reelection campaign

[Read the article: Duking it out to be London's head honcho]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Ok so it was targeted at his Muslim constituency so there's bound to be some over the top rhetoric, but Red Ken essentially wants to run as MAYOR of London, which AFAIK has no foreign policy folio in the government, on a platform of supporting the destruction of Israel. In short, you have to vote for Red Ken if you support the PLO and Hamas BECAUSE that is the true role Red Ken has assigned himself.

But in truth I believe Red Ken wants to mount a magnificent pageant for the opening of the 2012 London Olympics, which by the by is being built next door to Europe's largest Mosque and Red Ken's Muslim constituency, which he himself numbers at approx 800,000 is pushing hard for an Islamic oriented and Islamic friendly Olympic games. It should be interesting.
