I put a spell on you

    And now you are mine

You can't stop the things I do

    I ain't lying

    It's been 300 years

    Right down to the day

    Now the witch is back

    And there's hell to pay

I put a spell on you

    And now

    You are mine

    Hello Salem

    My Names Winnie. Whats yours?

I put a spell on you

    And now you're gone

    Gone, gone, gone, so long!

    My whammy fell on you

    And it was strong

So strong, so strong, so strong!

Your wretched little lives have all been cursed

'Cause of all the witches working

    I'm the worst!

I put a spell on you,

    And now you're mine

Watch out, watch out, watch out, watch out, she ain't lyin'

    If you don't believe

    You'd better get superstitious

    Ask my sisters!

    She's vicious

I put a spell on you

    A wicked spell

I put a spell on you

    Sisters!

  • Is he Muslim?

[Read the article: MSNBC on the "pregnant man": "I'm gonna be sick"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

That's a serious question. Doesn't Islam dictate that when their Messiah comes he will be born of a man?

  • Is that even a relevant question?

We could clone whales by the million and chop them up for oil too. But that's not really the direction we want to head in.

No the fact is that any long run solution is going to be a mixture of things just like it is now. A little solar a little fission, some oil/coal/gas, a little wind, a little algae and anything else they can come up with. That's the only rational approach. Anyone's who's waiting for the Gigantic Magical Monkeywrench is just delaying real solutions to engineering and economic problems for the sake of ideology. Does soalr pollute across its lifecycle?

EVERYTHING pollutes across its lifecycle. Anytime you make, break, process or recycle something you're creating some kind of pollute, waste or throwoff energy. Hells Bells, recycling paper uses mercury and sulfuric acid.

  • You mean to tell me that top flight salon people and personal trainers aren't highly paid?

[Read the article: Geisha guys: Japan's hottest new accessory]

"Power" personal service people in the US have been making a fortune for many many years. Personal trainers, chefs, haircutters to the stars are very popular and very wealthy. Hell, Jon Peters, big deal Hollywood producer is a former hairstylist to and friend of Streisand.

  • Why does Redmond believe it has to beat Google in order to survive?

Because their business model assumes total hegemony. It's the only way they can think.

I always offer constructive advice, and educational content. Not even Descartes could teach rocks.

  • For a Guy who lives and dies by rhetoric, Gary

[Read the article: The Iran boogeyman is back]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

You always miss its application by others. The point to making noise about Iran is to make noise about Iran. To put them on notice obliquely. That's what countries do. As in any country that's had to deal with North Korea, rhetoric's been elevated to art form that almost entirely metaphor, as a stark example. Iran is not a country that anyone will have any success dealing with directly. They view themselves as a regional power, with an agenda and a mandate.

Moreover, it can't be that their open support of OTHER sub-military and guerilla armies in the region has either escaped you or is irrelevant, is it? Iran via the IRGC funds Hezbollah to the tune of more than $50-60 million dollars a month. Those are their numbers. So the idea that it's preposterous they would fund similar groups in Iraq, is, I'm sorry, preposterous itself.

Obliquely is simply how you deal with some countries. Have you ever had to deal with anyone or any organization in the mideast or in Asia, Gary? Directness does not work. You have to work at everything sideways. You never hear yes, you never hear no, you hear something else. You hear a lot of back channel stuff, face saving and honor politics. You hear a lot of dancing. Everything's scripted everything's representative.

Petraeus is telling the Iranians that frontal assault won't work, that overt action is something no one wants and that if they want to talk to the US, and they do you know, they're going to have to do it by meeting the US partway and not by dictating terms.

I really wish sometimes people who wrote about the mideast and SW Asia knew something of the mideast, SW Asia and the cultures and people there.

  • See that's exactly the problem with Americans

[Read the article: Thank you, Rush Limbaugh!]

You'll flip out over words and epithets and miss entirely if your savior has anything of useful substance to say at all. Like it or not, the left has staked out its shame and guilt position on race while ignoring gender equality. Don't believe me? Ok there's a ton of race/Civil Rights legislation in this country and not the ERA. No no no the left would rather feel shamed and horsewhipped on race before it would ever elect a woman to the Presidency. That's obviously the case. You don't like Hillary and believe you me you'll find something wrong with the next female candidate too. And the one after that. Why? You've bought into the whole 400 years of slavery to be atoned for line and at this point you're willing to give the Presidency to the first significantly Black candidate who looks promising. But you don't want to go too far, you don't want actual results, you want salvation. You hope that when Obama is President race will go away and you will finally be off the hook. But, sorry to tell you - Obama's Presidency will be paper thin. It will be shiny and hopeful, a mile wide and 4 inches deep. And our estranged girlfriends in the EU will like us again. Of course that won't translate into action or results, but at least you can feel good about traveling to Europe w/o pretending you're Canadian.
