I wonder if anyone has actually tried to compute the real costs of GW Bushonomics to the USA/ to the world / to the US citizen / to the citizens of nations outside the USA?
I know that the GW Bush's Iraq War has thus far directly cost, in terms of monies expended, something like US $ 500 billion of money expended (give or take a few scores or hundreds of billions). We do not comment here about the few billions of dollars looted by friends of GW Bush and Dick Cheney, Halliburton and the like - but it would be interesting to find out just how much went this way...
I know that Nobel prizewinner Joseph E. Stiglitz has computed the real cost of the Iraq war will be something like US $ 3 TRILLION!
But what about the real total costs of GW Bushonomics, in terms of the world's attention being diverted on GW Bush's personal war against Saddam Hussein when there were real issues like resource depletion, global warming, human rights around the world, child labour - all of these issues begging for real resources... ??? Any computations available?
(I'm certain that these corporate collapses are only a small part of major imbalances in the world economic systems, all of which have been entirely ignored while the world has been focussed on GW Bushonomics!!)
HOW THE DECIDER DECIDED!"I'm the decider, and I decide what is best. And what's best is for Don Rumsfeld to remain as the secretary of defense." โ Washington, D.C., April 18, 2006
QUESTION: Mr. President, you created a practice of not commenting on potential personnel moves, calling it speculation...
BUSH: Of course, I do. You can understand why: because we've got people's reputations at stake.
And on Friday, I stood up and said I don't appreciate the speculation about Don Rumsfeld. He's doing a fine job. I strongly support him.
QUESTION: Well, what do you say to critics who believe that you're ignoring the advice of retired generals, military commanders, who say that there needs to be a change?
BUSH: I say I listen to all voices. But mine's the final decision.
And Don Rumsfeld is doing a fine job. He's not only transforming the military, he's fighting a war on terror โ he's helping us fight a war on terror.
I have strong confidence in Don Rumsfeld.
I hear the voices. And I read the front page. And I know the speculation. But I'm the decider and I decide what is best. And what's best is for Don Rumsfeld to remain as the secretary of defense.

(Soldiers when crossing a bridge are directed to march definitively "out-of-step", so that they do not in any way create resonant vibrations of the bridge, which could lead to the bridge's catastrophic collapse. The total weight of the column of soldiers would surely be very much less than 10% (or even 1%) of the weight of the bridge. The 'resonance' could be deadly...
I believe "The Pilot" is not entirely correct/accurate when he states that it is NOT dangerous for people to jump up and down in a flying aircraft. There would be for sure conditions under which this kind of activity could become very dangerous indeed.

as created by GW Bush and Gang, Judges Roberts and Rehnquist,...
geezer2 in the posting "How many voters, and where are they?" asked several interesting questions:
How can we in the Obama campaign reach out to them? Can you publish their addresses, or their eMail addresses, if they have one? You've got the names, but could you give us a chance to talk to the people in this article?
My suggestion:
Start/join a YahooGroup and get together with other likeminded people. As a 'starter', I've launched a YahooGroup called:
"get_obama_elected ยท OBAMA! Noway McCain!"
and I hereby invite all interested in getting Obama in and McCain+Palin Out to join the group. Just open:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/get_obama_elected/
and from there ask to join the group. I shall send you an invitation straightaway.
As soon as possible, I would like someone else to take over and run and moderate the group - geezer2 are you game for this? It would be advisable that I move out of owning/moderating the group as I am not a US citizen.
I shall put up at that group some files that may help you create an effective 'Mission Statement' for the group and also some information about practical ways to create effective Action Planning to accomplish the Mission.
Do try this out and see if it might help!
Best wishes

The Single Funniest Sentence I Ever Read:
"GW Bush Is President of the USA, world's leading democracy, sole economic and military superpower!"
One Of The Funniest Passages I've Ever Read:
""I'm the decider, and I decide what is best. And what's best is for Don Rumsfeld to remain as the secretary of defense." โ Washington, D.C., April 18, 2006 (There are other very solid contenders for "funniest" from GW Bush, The Hero Of Our Times, but this is, I think, THE ONE!)
The 2nd Funniest Sentence I Hope I Don't Ever Read:
John McCain+Sarah Palin Is President+Vice President of the USA, world's leading democracy, sole economic and military superpower!
The 3rd Funniest Sentence I Hope I Don't Ever Read:
The USA, formerly the world's economic and military superpower, ....

I had left incomplete the '3rd Funniest Sentence I Hope I Don't Ever Read" (mainly because I couldn't quite think what that last bit should be) - SUDDENLY the rest of it came to me:
"The USA, formerly the world's sole military and economic superpower, imploded on ---- (date) due to accumulated lies, incompetence, and crimes against humanity and the rest of the planet".
