Born in the USA!! Two-Faced John McCain + One-Faced Sarah Palin

Check out this fascinating story in the New York Times to see what the USA will be getting just one heart-beat away from the presidency of 72-year-old Two-Faced John McCain if US citizens are to elect the McCain-Palin ticket:

"Once Elected, Palin Hired Friends and Lashed Foes"

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/14/us/politics/14palin.html?_r=1&hp&oref=slogin

That story gives us exactly the right slogan for Sarah Palin:

BUSHIER THAN GW BUSH !!!!"

Well, US citizens have already displayed their enormous 'electoral intelligence' by putting GW Bush into power not once - but TWICE OVER!!

"Two-Faced John McCain & One-Faced Sarah Palin" (continued)

Further my last on "Two-Faced John McCain & One-Faced Sarah Palin", the New York Times also carries an excellent collection of readers' views on Sarah Palin at:

(So what does that make John McCain?)

Original article: A call to arms

What the Obama-Biden ticket needs to do - URGENTLY!!

What Democratic voters need to do: more or less what the article suggests,

PLUS

they should exert appropriate pressure on the Obama-Biden campaign to do all of the following:

–- a clear statement of what the USA is all about in this 21st century: what is its position in the world now; what it wants to be (i.e., what are the US ‘Vision’ and ‘Missions’ respectively? Vision needs to be defined for at least 20 years - even 50 or more years; Mission statements should be available for year to year; for 3/5/10/15 years… right up to the limits of the ‘Vision’ statements);

-- there needs to be a clear statement of the major issues and problems ahead for the US (and the world) over the next several years, year-by-year, for the next 20/30/50 years [to the extent this kind of foresight is available using the best available understanding of science, technology, the current state of the environment;

(OK - there has been some articulation of the above; but scarcely much of what is crucial, below).

--*HOW* would government actions and policies as advocated by the Obama-Biden ticken *contribute to* or *hinder* accomplishment of the Mission statements, and to the Vision they hold for the USA, for the world. (This is by no means easy to do, but it is definitely possible - but they have left this huge effort till very late indeed!)

--the Obama-Biden ticket needs to show precisely *how* the ticket will ensure that the things they claim they want to do from day to day would enhance or improve conditions for the USA and for the world at large

--all of the above crystallized into EFFECTIVE selling messages communicating to US citizens that they (Obama-Biden) really will make a difference to them (Mr & Mrs John Doe).

I observe, as an outsider (living in far-away India) that McCain-Palin appears to be HUGELY more untrustworthy than Obama-Biden: this is NOT enough, clearly! McCain-Palin clearly has a huge constituency that has not adequately understood the lies, deception, looting of the GW Bush Gang, which McCain-Palin plans to continue.

By no means is the Obama-Biden ticket adequately showing what it should be with regard to the progress of the USA (or for the world). One can only say that it is not anywhere near as destructive/damaging for the USA and/or for the world and/or for the planet as McCain-Palin promises to be - they are certainly "less bad for the USA/for the world/ for the planet" than McCain-Palin: but that is alas a sad and sorry statement to have to make at this stage of the campaign! By now, the Obama-Biden ticket should have been clearly far, far ahead of McCain-Palin - given that the latter springs from the loins of probably the most discredited, unpopular POTUS in history.

Obama-Biden need to connect properly with Mr and Mrs John Doe US citzen to convince them about all of the above. Thus far, their efforts have been meagre, woefully inadequate as a matter of fact. I do hope they will get their act together, in time before another disaster like 2000 or 2004 overtakes - the world simply cannot afford to have any years of "McBush"!

Further on: What the Obama-Biden ticket needs to do - URGENTLY!!

I had left out the following important statement in my posting just now:

GW Bush and Gang are LIARS, CHEATS and WAR CRIMINALS - and McCain-Palin clearly springs from their loins.

THE most egregiously offensive insults in the 'American' language...

"GW BUSH!"

"DICK CHENEY!"

"CONDOLEEZA RICE!

And now we should add:

"John McCain!"

"SARAH PALIN!"

(Apropos of what were those 'insults'? Apropos of anything you want - I was just thinking of ways to insult people one does not like [in particular when one feels the kind of "fury" that Anne Lamott is writing about, for instance).

A good ad - how to make it even better!

The ad was great.

AND

dartvader has it just about right:

-- I will deliver tax cut for the middle class. McCain promises more tax cuts for the rich and debts our children will have to pay.

-- I will fix our healthcare system so that every American can have affordable insurance. McCain wants to tax your health benefits. Under his plan, 20 million Americans will lose their health insurance and many will pay more for less coverage.

-- I will develop American-made alternative energy solutions. McCain wants to turn over our coastlines to the oil companies, with no guarantee that they will even sell the oil here in America.

-- Eight years of Bush have wrecked our economy and mortgaged our future. $ 500 BILLION squandered in a foolish war.

We can't afford four more years of Republican rule.

What Obama has to do is to follow up each long ad the very next day with a quick 'bullet-pointer' using points like those dartvader has nicely articulated. That will really truly drive the message home.

(And Two-Faced John McCain and Moose-Slaughterer Sarah Palin would find it near-impossible to counter the power of thia approach! Wolves in the undergrowth will not work against the power of the truth!!

In an 'economics ad', Obama should take people rapidly through the major points of Obama Vs. McCain!

The major points that Obama should 'bullet-point' are already available!
