Ask yourself (and others) a few questions -2

The following paragraph, which should have come at the end of my response posted just now, somehow got in there near the beginning. Sorry. Just put this at the end of my long posting just now:

Using these simple tools you will be able to arrive at a clearer understanding of just what it is you should be doing with yourself and with Himself...it will take you a while to arrive at a proper understanding... but I do assure you that you will get a whole new perspective.

And what of the "Masseur-In-Chief"?

Did Kathleen Parker draw any lessons from GW Bush massaging Angela Merkel's neck and shoulders? From the demented expression on his face while he DUNNIT and the revolted expression on hers?

No?

I thought not.

Watch out for the Rovian smear tactics...

Remember:

-- the 'SwiftBoat' disinformation campaign that had more than a little to do in the Kerry-Edwards loss in 2004?

-- the 'wolf' ads just a few days before the 2004 vote, which also played their part?

-- the whole atmosphere of fear created in the minds of Mr and Mrs John Doe, US citizens?

-- etc, etc... there will be plenty more instances if you look back at 2004...

(Remember also that there are few people in this world more fearful of the world around them than US citizens - and that these fears have enormously multiplied by the Rovian tactics employed by the GW Bush Gang the last time around).

Now look back at just over the past few days...Do you not see Rove's sly hand in what's been coming up lately?

For instance, the Kathleen Parker innuendo-laden op-ed piece attacking Obama and Edwards, that 'bloodlines' bit, etc, etc, in the Washington Post these were probably just the first of the trial arrows fired by Rove...

To my mind, something dark and deep is stirring, for sure...the Rovian dirty tricks are starting up, that seems clear. What directions will they take next?

Does Barack Obama know how to fight back? It would not be impossible to mount a truly effective attack on Rove, Bush, McCain, the whole sorry bunch... sometimes, just a counter-attack will not do (remember that an effective Kerry-Edwards response to the Swift-Boat attacks came far too late for it to do them any good!

But does Obama know just HOW to do respond to Rove?

Well, I sure do hope he will learn better how to counter such tactics than did John Kerry and Michael Edwards in 2004...

Just a thought...

An Obama-Clinton ticket would have the strength to overcome most Rovian tactics, which are already starting up...

...remember the recent innuendo-laden op-ed piece by Kathleen Parker in the Washington Post lately? 'Bloodline' and all that stuff?

I for one see more than a trace of Rovian tactics in that piece.

Abusive (rapist) brother; manipulative mother -- Just what do they think you owe them???

Don't go. Do not have ANYTHING to do with your brother. Your mother seems extremely manipulative. HER "Happy Anniversary" should not be at YOUR cost! What was she doing when your brother raped you? Has she ever spoken to him about it and told you about that conversation? Let your manipulative mother go, too. You have made yourelf another life. Don't mix it up with your old life.

Original article: Look homeward, Obama

jpincus

...Why does a few years of "community organizing," whatever the hell that really means, equate to being shot down while defending your country from Soviet hegemony?

Are you serious, Jpincus? "...defending your country from Soviet hegemony...???!!!"

Wow! Now that's a truly imaginative view of the mess that the US had got itself into in Vietnam (not really very different, come to think about it, from the mess it has now got itself into in Eye-rack!)

Millions of gallons of Agent Orange, all hundreds of thousands of tonnes of napalm, the high-intensity bombay and burning and brutalising of countries half-way around the world... Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos,...., all those threats to "bomb the ginks back to the Stone Age"...

All of that that was done to DEFEND the USA?

Ho! HO!! HO!!!

Take a look at a map sometime, JPincus, if you know how to read one. You might like to observe that Vietnam is far, far away indeed from the US ... and that Vietnam could NEVER have posed a threat to the US...the whole sad story is just part of the flim-flam that the US is the leading 'democratic nation of the world' (which persists even today).

Knowing what's in Howard Zinn's mind...

How do you manage to perform this great miracle, Electro Robot? You know exactly what's in Howard Zinn's mind --

"Zinn would rather be hated than ignored"

I really am keen on learning how you do this.

I presume you can do the same with the fascinating thoughts of GW Bush, unregenerate War Criminal, the Masseur-in-Chief himself?

I have no doubt that you know the latest that Jesus told him...do please enlighten us.

DON'T ban ShawnWM!

As calgodot rightly observes, it's always useful to have this kind of barometer around, even if it is a rectal thermometer (yes, I know barometers and thermometers do quite different things).
