Original article: I'm planning my suicide

Check out...

...the 'One Page Management System' (OPMS), a powerful generic aid to problem solving decision which will enable you to construct visual (graphical) representations of your mental models showing how factors within yur system are impacting each other. These representations will help you find out with utmost possible clarity whether or not you are making the right decision for yourself.

I have previously written about the OPMS several times at Salon, and you can find some details if you would scan through my postings here. Alternatively, just write to me at gs (underscore) chandy (at) yahoo (dot) com, and I shall be happy to send you information about the OPMS and show you how you can freely download the OPMS software that will help you readily create your representations of your mental models. I shall also be happy to provide (no charges or fees of any kind) some limited start-up guidance on how to interpret the models you create, "what to do next", and so on.

You will need to do just a bit of work with the OPMS (about 15-20 minutes a day for a couple of months; after say 5-6 hours spent to understand the underlying logic of the system) that's all you need to do to get to the stage where you are using the process confidently for yourself. So what I'm suggesting is that just about 20-30 hours over the next few months spent exploring yourself and your state of mind is what you need to find out whether your currently planned course of action is right for you. I believe I can guarantee you that it is most unlikely that you will continue feeling that suicide is the right option for you: you will rediscover the value of your own life. (I speak not just theoretically but as one who has been through the kind of despair you may be feeling at this point of time).

Best wishes,

GSC

One more for serafin...

1) Sorry I got your name wrong earlier.

2) When your POTUS does things that screw the world (as war criminal GW Bush consistently did from 2000 till he demitted office), that is surely my business - "bidness", as you would probably have it. So I repeat: I will not - repeat NOT - "stay the f--k out of (your) country's affairs" - and you had just better get used to that, y'hear, serafin? So what are YOU going to do about that?

Correction (and addition) needed in my response to serafim

But you personally for sure are indeed part of that bunch of sheep (ewes, actually) who put up GW Bush, that Utter Incompetent and War Criminal, as your POTUS no less in 2000 and 2008....

That should be "...in 2000 and 2004" of course. Sorry about that.

Addition: For your information, that bit about bombing someone "back to the Stone Age" was based on recommendations by one of your great war generals, who wanted to do just that to Vietnam (because they wanted to fight for their freedom against France and then the US). [Addition provided as you don't seem to be adequately aware of US history].

TO: serafim

Do you think we are going to act like a bunch of sheep and just sit around and feel sorry for ourselves???!!!

But you personally for sure are indeed part of that bunch of sheep (ewes, actually) who put up GW Bush, that Utter Incompetent and War Criminal, as your POTUS no less in 2000 and 2008 (and put yourself and the rest of the world down the tube for that!) What giant brains!!

No - I will NOT "stay the f--k out of your country's affairs", serafim) till your country learns to deal with other countries with decency, civility and a trace of much-needed humility. (Maybe Obama will teach you a few lessons on decency and civility. GW Bush certainly was not capable of teaching anyone about anything except "Peter the Goat").

So are you, serafim, planning to bomb me out of existence or "back to the Stone Age" for that? You may recall that you and your kind stuck your noses into Vietnam (and got royally screwed there, as you thoroughly deserved). Now you're getting yourselves royally screwed even in Iraq and Afghanistan, in case you haven't noticed yet.

Oh what fun...

...it is to see Zoltan Newberry getting his/her knickers in a twist because he/she has a Democrat and a black to boot ruling over him/her!

(You do wear knickers, don't you, dear?)

Things are likely due to get worse - maybe much worse - before they can get any better...

IMHO: It will take at least 2 years - perhaps as many as 5 years - before things get better (economically) than they are now. Meanwhile, they may well get a whole lot worse.

When a gigantic system like the US economy goes nearly bust (taking the economies of most of the rest of the world down the tube with it), it surely will take quite a while (and a lot of pain; and good thinking and very hard work) before things can be fixed. I only do hope the subsystems beneath (inside) are not so damaged that they can't be fixed at all. That's possible too.

What Obama's stimulus plan may help to do is just to give people a sense of hope that things could get better some day. Nothing more. I don't see truly 'out-of-the-box thinking' being applied by Obama and his team to the issues. But there's hope: maybe they will learn over time how to deal effectively with complex systems. At least, they seem capable of learning, which could not be said at all of GW Bush and Gang. In any case, I do hope you US citizens will not now be so utterly stupid as to blame Obama for the ills you (and the rest of the world with you) will surely be suffering over the next couple of years at least. You've been very stupid earlier (see below) - don't repeat that stupidity again, please.

You US citizens voted that smirking mini-monster (and total incompetent) and his war criminal gang into power - not just once but TWICE over!!! - and now you (and the rest of the world with you) will just have to suffer for the truly excellent decision-making capabilities tyou displayed in 2000 and 2004. (OK, I'll grant that the election had been stolen in 2000 - so why did you accept that highway robbery committed by GW Bush and Gang?)

For Blunderdog

That was a brilliant and very cutting rejoinder you made to Chief Payne!

Thanks for making my day...
