First - you are one of the top no value added trolls here at Salon and this will be the last time I respond to you.

Second - I am not a Dem and have never been a Dem. My vote is my own to do with as I wish. How I cast it has nothing to do with anger or temper, but everything to do with enlightened self interest. The two Dems/Reps are corporate owned and are bad for the country and for me. Therefore my voting third party will help bring REAL change that will actually benefit me and the country I served for the majority of my adult life in the military.

Additionally, I have many friends still stuck in war zones in the Middle East. Senator Obama's new plan to pull troops from Iraq only to deploy them to Afghanistan strikes at the heart of what was one of the few benefits I saw to his potential presidency. By signing on to the forever war against "terror" that only benefits war profiteering corporations, Senator Obama is no longer the peace candidate, if indeed he ever was.

Now go do something constructive with your life.

It seems Ellis may be irrational on more than just the topic of Senator Clinton.

Feel free to check out the sites below for the complete polling picture. They display data from most of the polls taken - not one poll from one source. They even include third party candidate polling. You will find Senator Obama isn't beating the margin of error. Not exactly reassuring for those who want a Democratic administration come January.

How does voting for Cynthia McKinney make me in the tank for Senator Clinton?

Try reading before writing - it helps with coherence.

  • Primary Progression

[Read the article: Clinton: "No decisions have been made"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I've never been in the tank for anyone. Most politicians are duplicitous weezils worthy only of contempt.

However, I am surprised anyone has been tracking of my preferences, but to keep everything clear and above board the *official* LT Bohica primary progression has been:

Senator Gravel, Congressional Representative Kucinich, Senator Edwards, Senator Clinton, Congressional Representative McKinney.

For complete disclosure, I donated to all of the above except Senator Edwards and I also sent money to Senator Dodd due to his stand on FISA.

I did defend Senator Clinton against many of the misogynist trolls here at Salon, but have no illusions concerning who owns her. The rampant sexism was nauseating. You can still see some of it in comments to this post today.

Even if Senator Clinton came out of the convention at the head of the ticket, I would not vote for her now that I have become acquainted with the Green platform. The silver lining of this bollux'd primary for me has the motivation to take the time to examine third parties. It has also freed me from the false threats of *must protect SCOTUS!* and *what about Roe?* tropes that the Democratic Party uses to control their base through fear.

I will note that Senator Clinton voted against FISA, has not endorsed forever war recently, and has been one of only two Senators to take a stand against the current Bu$h administration's ploy to equate birth control with abortion for federal funding purposes. Only Senator Clinton and Senator Murray of Washington state have spoken out. The silence from Senator Obama is deafening. Perhaps he is feeling too blue to comment?

  • O/T but amusing -- and ever so cool if it ever worked

    From Think Progress yesterday:

Judge on Rove’s citizen arrest: ‘It’s about time.’

Last Friday, police in Des Moines, Iowa arrested four people who attempted to make a citizens’ arrest of former top White House aide Karl Rove, who was in town to speak at a GOP fundraiser. A retired minister and three members of the Des Moines Catholic Workers community were cited for trespassing. However, according to a press release, the judge presiding over the case praised their efforts:

[Mona] Shaw was the first called before Polk County Fifth Judicial District Associate Judge William Price.

After entering her plea, the judge asked Shaw, “Ma'am, what were you doing at the Wakonda Country Club?”

“I was attempting to make a citizen’s arrest of Karl Rove, your honor,” Shaw answered.

“Well,” the judge looked up and said, “it’s about time.”

  • O/T SOS from Sheehan

[Read the article: Additional key facts re: the anthrax investigation]

O/T - but still an example of official hanky panky...

While checking myspace, I came across this bulletin from Sheehan's campaign:

"We just got an official report from the Department of Election here in San Francisco."

"They "randomly" sampled 531 of the 10,856 signatures that we turned in."

"They are "challenging" 231 and "allowing" 300. That means, after posting a 22% failure rate when we turned in our signatures in "lieu" of a filing fee (which Independents have to get anyway, there is no "filing fee" allowed, in lieu of anything), we have posted an INCREDIBLY hard to believe 43.5 percent failure rate and we need 2116 more valid signatures by Friday at 5pm."

"We can do it but we need help."

"Please forward this around so people can help us, or donate so we can pay professionals (signature gatherers/lawyers) to help get the voice of the people on the ballot."

Seems like the powers that be are up to their usual BS. Failing 43% of the signatures? And this is before Pelosi mounts her challenge to the petition.

Please do what you can. If the Dems/Reps maintain their lock on Congress, we will never have the truth about anything - from Anthrax to 9-11 to the AG firing issue and so on ad nausuem. Scaring speaker Pelosi in her home turf may be the message she and the rest of the spineless Dems need to get.

On topic - MSNBC Countdown is doing a segment on the Anthrax "investigation." The show is on now and I think the Anthrax story is number three in the line up.
