  • Relatively happy with Sprint

[Read the article: All you can eat -- for cheap?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I have a Sprint account with two Samsung Instincts and one HTC Mogul.

Having Instincts means a pricier plan - $129 for unlimited data, texts, photo and video messaging, GPS, the premier TV and radio packages, and 1500 shared minutes for the two lines.

Adding the Mogul line to the plan was another $19.99.

Then there is the seven dollars per handset for insurance and the repair plan - so another $21 total. I've had to replace phones over the years using the insurance and at over four hundred a handset, the insurance has paid for itself.

What irritates me most are the taxes and fees. They come to almost twenty dollars a month. On the plus side, I have an affinity discount that applies monthly and almost offsets the taxes/fees. I started with Sprint back in 1993 and the discount has stayed with the account.

So... bottom line outlay every month?

About $175 or a little less than $60 bucks per phone.

The Instinct is as good as the hype and has been since day one. I really enjoy the premier TV while traveling. It keeps me up to date with the Daily Show and provides live CNN or Fox news as well. The phone also has a separate 2 gig memory card that has let it pretty much replace my Ipod for music. Fewer gadgets to carry.

Ten years ago I canceled my land line and went completely cell and cable modem ($35 per month). Not paying sixty dollars a month for a land line makes it even more economical.

  • omooex and Sheehan...

[Read the article: Things I learned today about democracy]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

As I laid out on page 41 in this thread, omooex has bought into the hit job the M$M did on Sheehan and can't be bothered to actually read anything the woman has written.

omooex has judged her silly and childish and so she will remain in omooex's mind despite reality.

Again, omooex is part of the problem described by GG in this very blog.

omooex's logic is weak. omooex's thinking is flawed. omooex's comments in this thread are full of wrong information which I refuted. omooex is not worth the time.

Thanks for the support Kitt, but omooex firmly believes only professional, experienced, serious politicians should run for office and anyone who disagrees with omooex is hysterical.

GG does his research and would never rely on false information, so omooex's comparison of himself with GG is especially laughable.

    Such a sad clown.

  • In regards to the Pelosi blame game on the Daily Show

[Read the article: Those privacy-hating Chinese communist tyrants]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

What was most precious about Speaker Pelosi's interview with Jon Stewart -- other than the title of the book she was shilling -- was how she blamed all the failings of the past year and nine odd months on the senate. Her constant refrain was sixty votes.

Funny how not having a sixty vote super majority in the Senate didn't hold ol' Newt back.

    Know Your Power, indeed!

Pelosi's mother was a hamster and her father smelt of elderberries.

  • Salon's and every other media outlet's obsession with Obama/McCain

[Read the article: Is Barack cheating on Hillary?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Everywhere one looks it is Obama and McCain ad nauseum.

Must be nice to scoff up all that free advertising.

    To hell with them all.

The mistreatment of Clinton due to her gender which is ongoing and all pervasive - present even in the comments to this broadsheet post, drove me to check out the Green Party candidate and I'm not looking back.

If third party candidates got even a tenth of the free media the Dem/Rep candidates get, both Obama and McCain would stop taking voters for granted.

Vote McKinney and no one will be able to accuse you of being racist or sexist.

  • Guys, guys!

Loved the guy with the tie and Mr. Rogers sweater.

Great to see my donations going to such worthy endeavors.

  • Fundraisers

[Read the article: Clinton: "No decisions have been made"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Senator Clinton is holding fundraisers for three reasons now.

She has a campaign debt to retire. She is raising money for Senator Obama. She is raising money for HillPAC which will be used to help out other dems running for office. Note that Senator Clinton is one of the top Dems for raising money for other campaigns. Not quite the selfish bitch that so many Salon commenters portray her as, eh?

  • Change

[Read the article: Clinton: "No decisions have been made"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Senator Clinton is smart not to have released her delegates. As Senator Obama fails to break away from Senator McCain in the polls and continues to screw over his base with reversals on issues like FISA, abortion, forever war in Afghanistan, off shore drilling... things can happen.

Not that it will impact my vote. No more Republican lite for this veteran. I'm voting for the black woman - Cynthia McKinney, Green party candidate and possibly the candidate for the Peace and Freedom party as well.

  • Hillary Derangement Syndrome

Ellis -- you seem to suffer from HDS.

Since suspending her campaign, Senator Clinton has held fundraisers for the three reasons I listed. Google it and weep.

Just because one particular fundraiser you pick out of many is to retire her campaign debt doesn't mean Senator Clinton isn't also raising money for Senator Obama as well as money for other dems through HillPAC.

Get a grip and do the research before touretting more HDS bullshit.
