  • For those up thread who think Cindy Sheehan stands for nothing...

This is her take on the FISA bill travesty from back when Speaker Pelosi sold us out. Sheehan posted it on her myspace blog on June 24th. Once she has her ballot signatures gathered and she has time to think about other things, I wouldn't be surprised if Sheehan became a strange bedfellow as well.

Unlike the professional politicians in the corporate owned uni-party that is the Dems/Reps, Sheehan gets it:

    Dear Friend,

Today, we marched from City Hall in San Francisco to the Federal building where House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, has her district office. It was a memorial procession for our dearly departed, 4th amendment. If the US Senate doesn't bring it back from the dead, the House of Representatives murdered the 4th Amendment on Friday, June 20th (the day after Congress condemned thousands of humans to death by giving George W. Bush 163 billion to continue the occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan).

Former US House of Representative's member from Georgia and current Green Party presidential hopeful, Cynthia McKinney, who is now the national campaign honorary chair for Cindy for Congress sent the following message to be read at the Federal building:

Last week, Nancy Pelosi helped deal a double blow to Democratic Party grassroots supporters and to the U.S. Constitution itself. On Thursday, June 19, George Bush got another $162 billion from the Congress for war and occupation. On Friday, June 20, Nancy helped Bush give immunity to telecommunications companies that helped him spy on us!!!

Fannie Lou Hamer of the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party remarked that she was sick and tired of being sick and tired. And she did something about it by standing up at the Democratic Party Convention that routinely had accepted all-white, non-representative state delegations from the South.

Well, I'm sick and tired and outraged, too. And I'm doing something about it.

Cindy Sheehan is my choice for Congress.

Nancy thinks that by November you will have forgotten about all of this.

    Don't forget! Remember--in November!!

    Vote Cindy!! Vote Cynthia!!

So many aspects of our foundation of American law have been destroyed or degraded during the Bush regime, with the help of a complicit Congress, that it is going to take a major overhaul of our government, not a cosmetic fix. Or even worse, no change of drivers, or course at all.

The attached iPhoto is a picture of two of our Cindy for Congress volunteers who led the procession. One represented death holding a symbolic coffin and another who held a copy of the dearly departed 4th Amendment. When we reached the Federal building, we eulogized the Amendment, tore it up, and then delivered it to Nancy's office where a visibly irritated staffer received the remains from us.

    4th Amendment: RIP

    December 15, 1791 to June 20, 2008

We mourn the rule of law that is at death's door, but what we mourn even more is the fact that every citizen of this once Constitutional republic is not deeply saddened by this awful turn of events.

    Sorrowfully,

    Cindy Sheehan

PS: Today, before our funeral processional, Cindy for Congress turned in the first batch of petition signatures to the election department at City Hall. We needed 3000 signatures to file and we turned in exactly 3248 signatures. As soon as those signatures are validated, we will be collecting the rest of the 10,198 that we need to get on the ballot.

Additionally, Cindy for Congress surpassed the 200,000.00 mark in donations today. We have had a total of 2397 individual donations which is 83.77 average per donation!

Note that Sheehan's signature drive has accelerated drastically this week. She needs less than four thousand now. Her fundraising has also picked up since the Senate FISA vote.

I'm in Texas - so the update on the sigs and $$$ is from her campaign's daily myspace bulletins.

If you have friends or family in the 8th District - essentially San Fran -- the petition is up on Sheehan's website. It can printed at home and mailed into the campaign.

If you have no connections there, but are pissed at Pelosi - Sheehan's web site says this:

"Besides all of the amazing volunteers we have on the streets collecting signatures, we also have paid signature gathers helping us out. This costs us $1 for every signature they collect, worth every penny – but an extra expense."

So a ten dollar donation gets ten signatures and helps tell Pelsosi to pack sand.

At this point I am voting for anyone but Senator Obama just because your willful ignorance pisses me off.

Every time bernbart posts something ignorant here, I mentally add five bucks to my Accountability Now PAC money bomb donation.

As you can imagine, the total is HUGE.

Plus reading her drivel reinforces my zeal to help out Cindy Sheehan and vote Green for president.

Just for bernbart, I will now go donate this weekend's pizza and beer cash to Cynthia McKinney.

PS -- It is super easy to sign ondolette's letter over at http://humanityagainstcrimes.blogspot.com and I hope something comes of it. Didn't even take two minutes.
