[Read the article: Night lands Clinton closer to oblivion]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"The "real" motive for staying in is obvious. Barrack Dukakis can't win and she cares.
Whereas he doesn't."
This kinda comment is exactly what is wrong with Salon and Hilary supporters. It all comes down to what "I" feel or what "my friends say" and other quick labels to be thrown around. For Obama to get as many votes as he did in Indiana, in a state that is the most racist north of the mason-dixon line, is amazing. You can blame it on the "niggars" who support him but it just doesn't wash. Keep marginalizing the groups or people who don't happen to support your candidate because you like her and no party can survive. Talk about ME ME ME...Hilary has NO CHANCE of winning but you asshats keep talking smack...how is that responsible and concerned about the country?

[Read more letters about this article: Here]90% of African Americans voted for Obama...that is bad HOW? How is that different than EVERY presidential election?
This is the exact argument that Limbaugh et. al. make all of the time about the Republican party. ya, dem darkies don't have a place. Yes, he won the Regioncounties, but the problem with your argument is that he did INCREDIBLY well in overwhelming white rural areas of Indiana and could have not come as close as he did by just relying on the coloreds.
Have you ever been to Indiana? I am from the incredibly conservative NE Indiana area and have heard people who have made casual racist remarks say they are voting for Obama. Is it because they hate women? No, because they elect women to county positions and racism is a MUCH strong force than sexism.

@shawnwm...these shifting goalposts
[Read the article: Night lands Clinton closer to oblivion]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I am guessing that being a kool-aid drinker you missed The Daily Show expose on how Hilary has kept changing the standards for winning the nomination. Of course you didn't see it because you wouldn't be able to say such crap and maintain some intellectual integrity or psyche balance.
The only logical conclusion is that you are another agent provacateur from the right...or just incredibly dumb.

PLEASE everyone just ignore every ShawnWM post
[Read the article: What does Hillary want?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]He obviously has no grasp on reality or is a Republican shill. Use your time for other pursuits and maybe he will go away...logic or thought doesn't phase him.

holy smokes! an Salon article that doesn't cite a friend or personal identity!

[Read more letters about this article: Here]This does remind me of the old days. Was Joan out of the office today?

@sesanders. I hate Rush except when it...
[Read the article: What does Hillary want?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Except when it justifies my delusions...give me break.
In the reddest, and most racist, of states north of the mason dixon line, Obama comes that close to winning is a fact that can't be ignored. All this babbling about swing states that she would win is complete bs and doesn't hold up to any thoughtful analysis. Because Hilary won a specific state means that Obama won't win it is incredibly intellectually bankrupt. But that isn't even the point. Obama has fulfilled every qualification to be the nominee and you can keep yapping about bs...but believe it or not there have to be some rules. You might want to catch the Daily Show bit about Hilary claiming that the super delegates are the to be taken most seriously-but then that was when she was in a different situation.

call me crazy...
[Read the article: Obama Veepstakes]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]After two questions I thought WTF. So i go with the Scarlett answer.. This is the kinda crap polls that I see on local news all the time. I guess it is a distraction, but damn...
I am still amazed that the question of class is continually ignored at Salon. The major difference between the two candidates is how middle class is defined and tax policy. Obama has staked out a position of 75k and 96k and Hillary is in the 200K range.
That is the problem I DON'T UNDERSTAND. Salon refuses to address this basic difference. Joan has not elicited a single piece that addresses this and NOT a single piece from Eric Dyson or Henry Louis Gates. These are the most important academics and thinkers in America-regardless of race or class. Instead Joan engages and gives face time to morons on cable TV...I am sorry but if she is interested in serious discussion just ignore Rush, Chris, russert etc. Instead she uses it as a platform to further her career.
Salon readers are upper middle class for the most part, thus that is why we don't get class analysis but analysis of Chris Mathews, Oberman etc. That is shameful!

ya, Johansson but by connection Bill Murray.
[Read the article: Obama Veepstakes]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Oh, wait he is is way too smart to get into this bs...it is a shame that other countries will consider such a person who isn't tied to such ecomonic interests.

what happned to all the Hilary supporters?
[Read the article: The Brazile-Begala smackdown]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I am guessing they have figured out that can no longer stretch their messed up arguments. they even figured something out

@sesanders.
[Read the article: What does Hillary want?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Sorry, you are entitled to political observations, but when it based on the delusion that Hilary can win votes...on ANY level, you are easily dismissed. Sorry, and it isn't because you are a woman or a man, it is because you are clueless.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Oh, I am indulging in personal attacks? Jesus H Christ....I think you are incredibly misguided on who can beat McCain, but that isn't the question. This has become a question of who has won the primary and why dumbasses refuse to concede and get behind the inevitable candidate. You are a sanctimonius dork who can't see beyond your nose. How exactly is pursuing a destructive and pointless campaign helpful to anyone? That is the problem with you folk...you refuse to accept reality for personal glory.
