  • Elitst must mean you know how to read.

[Read the article: Say it loud: I'm elite and proud!]

    Dear LisaS and Elinde,

Before making yourselves look silly you might want to actually read before inserting foot. LisaS, if you look closely you will see Messiah college was her UNDERGRAD school, not law school-which is a joke.

Elinde, You will notice that the previous post about eye for an eye addressed the issue of the translation of the King James version of the old testament. DUH.

    pathetic

  • IT Just GOT WORSE....What is this new journalism?

[Read the article: "America at a Crossroads" veers to the right]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

How is it journalism to turn over the show for an hour of propaganda produced by Pearle. Wow, I thought PBS had some integrity. Sad day

  • VIDEO of this fiasco?

[Read the article: "Make sure the rug says 'optimistic person comes to work'"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Where can I view a video of this bloody mess? Seems like Video Dog should have it.

  • education and experience is psychiatric field

Bush's inability to use language betrays a larger problem associated with cognitive processes. As stress has increased, it is no surprise that he has problems with language and connecting thoughts and ideas. anxiety disorder? manic disorder? some organic dysfunction?

  • SNL

[Read the article: I Like to Watch]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

How about some critique of the pathetic state of SNL. I know it is easy to be nostalgic for the golden days, but damn in the last two weeks I haven't laughed once. Hard to believe they keep the same writers and actors year after year. NBC sure aint what it used to be.

  • my grandpa

[Read the article: Red State Update: Rosie Quits]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Jackie is the spitting image of my beloved grandfather..uncanny.

  • Short changing Hersh on Taguba's report

[Read the article: How did the Bush administration use its secret eavesdropping powers?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

How has Seymor Hersh's article in The New Yorker about Gen. Taguba and the photographic evidence of anal rape been almost totally ignored? I noticed one short quote last week. I expected better of Salon.

  • Enron..smartest guys in the room

[Read the article: Building the stonewall]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Don't forget that Enron and its energy traders were directly involved in the shutting down of power plants and trading to create an artificial scarcity in California at that time.

  • they couldn't be bothered..

[Read the article: Quote of the Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

In the aftermath of Gonzo's testimony last week the Fox news website couldn't muster an article about the fiasco, but did have 3 different commentator's take on Lohan.

  • inexplicable or inconceivable?

[Read the article: Is the White House lying about spying again?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I really thought this was a no brainer-the Dems weren't gonna go along with this. It makes no sense and is inexplicable. But I am reminded of the line from The Princess Bride when the who continually says "inconceivable" and eventually another character says he better look up the meaning. Why give up power and leverage to a guy who continually lies and refuses to be held in anyway accountable? tragic is a better word in that the dems rolled again!

  • werner's dancing chicken

[Read the article: Red State Update: Death of a parrot]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

that is a clip from Herzog's strozek. he found them in North Carolina I believe.

sonny terry on harmonica I believe.

  • I am a big fan but....

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

GIVE UP the baseball. There are more interesting stories in sports than more silly baseball stunts that don't hold any larger political or social significance.

  • I am a big fan but...part II

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

You are the best sports writer out there, but I have noticed a drop in quality since moving to SF. What is up with that? I see less focus and acerbic wit-are you eating out much more often?

  • Hillary and the NPR debate

[Read the article: The NIE changed everything. Yeah, right]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I found it interesting that Hillary tempered her recent attacks on Obama for the NPR debate. As a question of judgment and tactics she obviously realized she can't pull her recent attacks in the NPR forum and didn't want to appear shrill to the NPR audience. To do so would have allowed Obama to address point by point, which she obviously didn't want. Elephantman...you really need to get a life..seriously.

  • Reid and the fillibuster

[Read the article: Democrats show Beltway "strength," avoid being depicted as weak]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    Glen,

How can the Dems. continue to resist the filibuster issue? Is it just a propaganda issue that the media can't carry? What happened to the nuclear pact that the Dems agreed to? I am severly flumuxed by ther refusal of Reid to hold them to account. It seems to me the most important issue at this point....am I wrong?

  • Is MaCain gonna?

[Read the article: Inside the CIA's notorious "black sites"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Does John have the balls or political desperation to address these concrete charges or make them a political issue?

  • the dotterin fool Reid and the FCC media consoludation

[Read the article: Harry Reid's FISA games]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Comments about Reid's behavior asking if he is being blackmailed seemed on the surface kinda silly. Yet the only other explanation is that he has dementia. The FCC is to institute new ownership rules that allow further media consolidation this Tuesday. A Senate committee voted 11-0 to ask that they wait for more feedback and postpone the Tuesday decision...they have declined. Jesus, even Ted Stevens and Trent Lott are asking serious questions. All Reid has to do is have a vote on the committee findings, but none are scheduled. He must be busy doing something else...like finding his office.

  • more of the handicapping...

[Read the article: McCain's last stand?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

More pointless stories of the race horses...bla bla bla bla

  • gypsy tears....

[Read the article: Obama co-chairman: Clinton didn't cry for Katrina]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Where do they get these peoples? "analyzing tears"....Sounds like something from Borat.
