It was a straight forward question, and Glenn can’t put it to TIME Magazine in any simpler way, so if TIME were a truly a reputable news source, and if TIME ‘s staff cared about quality reporting, about facts and the truth, than a well issued correction should have been a no-brainer?
But it’s not.
At this point, in all honestly, with all the evidence of this event, we can say that TIME is intentionally misleading readers?
Saying that Republican believe one thing and Dems another is not an answer, it is not a correction and was not intended to be a correction. Glenn’s request was not partisan acts, since looking for the truth is not a partisan objective. All US citizens want the truth, conservative, Democrat or otherwise.
So than all the evidence shows that TIME is intentional misleading readers about the contents of this wiretapping bill in order to assist Republicans in aiding Bush to continue wiretapping without any oversight. TIME has an agenda and it’s NOT to provide information, at least not anymore. Klein not only has an agenda to misrepresent information and actually push fraudulent information, this is TIME’s agenda too.
I mean, if TIME doesn’t care that what Klein wrote was fraudulent – well, at least Glenn has proven that our US media is actually assisting the Bush administration in breaking his oath of office – that oath to defend the US Constitution by lying to readers in the very same way Bush has lied about wiretapping, and has lied about torturing.
TIME is in the business of aiding and abiding the Bush administration’s criminal behavior and Klein must have been hired specifically to push lies. What else can anyone deduce by TIME’s actions (or should I say lack thereof)?
Glenn provided a well defined explanation, a reasonable request for corrections, so for TIME to disregarding the accusations can only mean that TIME is intentionally pushing fraudulent information with the express intent of doing precisely that, misleading the Ameican public.
If TIME can pretend that Glenn is simply a partisan, which is precisely what TIME is doing here, then TIME can continue to deceive it's readers.
Like the congressman said, TIME maybe entitled to their opinion but not their own facts.
It doesn't matter if your conservative or liberal, everyone should be concerned with what is in the FISA bill. Time is only concerned with misleading American citizens about what is in it.
Ah Jeebus, I'm tired of playing this game, Mr. Greenwald.
How do we know that Klein simply make a "little" mistake because a congressman might not have slipped him a little envelope under the table to NOT ask any question about the issue but spin it in a certain way?
So lets cut the BS Greenwald, everybody knows that Klein isn't that stupid, afterall, he does works for TIME magazine. So if Klein really is that mentally challenged, that WTF is he doing working at TIME in the first place? Cause I have to tell you, it sure seems like Joe Klein likes being lied too a lot here lately, and that the meaning of professionalism is completely lost on that guy.
I mean, what is a little research, a little vetting before airing grotesque misrepresentation of facts? If Klein cannot read the bill, can’t make out the legal jargon, why didn’t he seek out an adviser on TIME’s staff? Isn't that the very least he could have done? Wouldn't doing that bare mininal amount of research simply be the minimal daily requirement at place called TIME Magazine?
So it comes down to why does TIME Magazine's managing staff members think this whole wiretapping bill is so unimportant that trusting a fabrication-peddling, completely ignorant, opinionated, bystander by the name of Joe Klein, be allowed to handle the whole issue, based entirely on the words of GOP Rep. Pete Hoekstra without so much as picking-up the phone to speak to a congressional Dem, a lawyer, or any half-way educated para-legal, which, I think, would simply be just another days requirement for journalism at TIME Magazine? This is *ucking TIME Magazine we're talking about here, so it seems odd indeed, to be telling them how to "research" the meaning of congressional bills, because, you know, isn't that their business, isn't that professionalism vs hack journalism or does TIME know the difference anymore, does TIME Magazine even care anymore? How is it that TIME Magazine doesn't know how to do professional journalism anymore?
Does anyone really believe that the staff at TIME is this stupid? This issue with the wiretapping bill is not a partisan issue, the truth is not a partisan issue. TIME is intentionally peddling falsehoods, just like FOX News intentionally does it too. Does Murdock own TIME Magazine, or his twin affiliate, because that would explain alot.
No mention by the Dem candidates about what they intend for all of Bush's no-bid security contractors. Lets not forget that over half the military personnel in Iraq, the private firm mercenary troops are what makes up a lot of spending that is either in Greenwalds tally (or not, I don't know).
Anybody ask our candidate on what they are planning on doing about Blackwater, unbid contracts in general? Are we too afraid to ask?
I seen ads for mercinary work that say anyone can make up to 240 thousand a year. And if it's blackwater unbid contracts, than it's taxpayer's money.
