Yet, Clinton agrees to a debate on Fox News
[Read the article: The Shuster fallout]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I agree with her on her reaction to MSNBC, but why attack MSNBC while chumming up with Fox News, after agreeing with other Democrats to avoid the right wing propaganda outlet that has demeaned and trashed her and every other liberal/democrat for years?
-
Is she going to spend more time with her family?
[Read the article: Clinton "firing" fallout?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If Doyle wasn't fired, then, logic dictates that she has betrayed Clinton. But, of course she was fired. You don't quit a job as a campaign manager smack dab in the middle of the most evenly matched race in years. That would be outrageous.
Just normal PR.
-
gotcha?!
[Read the article: The "plagiarism" problem]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]nonsense. is this all she has left?
-
timing is irrelevant
[Read the article: The Times' timing]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]either it is a legitimate story or it is not.
timing questions are for spin doctors
-
This just in...
[Read the article: Newsday's cheap shot]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Clinton was a good lawyer.
-
this is why i like obama
[Read the article: Obama shows that dismissing slimy right-wing attacks is not difficult]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]he is not ashamed of his liberal positions. it's about time a promenant democrat showed conviction.
-
"rigid tests of the purists"
[Read the article: Quote of the day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]silly constitution
-
Is this the America we want?
[Read the article: Newest Clinton ad plays on security fears]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Not me. I want more. I want a leader who doesn't trot out the same tired distraction politics of the past (dems & repubs). This ad is very disappointing. But it fits the pattern the Clintons have shown for years. They are willing to sell out progressivism for temporary personal gain. I'm done.
Its time we tried for something better than the status quo. It IS worth it to try to make this country and the world a better place. Clinton is an insider political hack. This is why I will vote for Obama.
-
Is Clinton a Muslim?
[Read the article: Howard Fineman, mind reader]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I don't believe she is. I mean, I take her at her word that she is Christian. And there doesn't seem to be any basis for thinking that she is Muslim, as far as I know.

Wrong
[Read the article: Ask Pablo]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The way to "save the environment" is not by refusing to procreate, it is to have environmentally sound policies.
Have children and be a righteous political citizen.
-
Suicide for the Environment!
[Read the article: Ask Pablo]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]My guess is that most people who "refuse" to have children "for the sake of the envrionment" do not actually want children anyway.
-
Note to Salon readers...
[Read the article: Ask Pablo]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You cannot save the environment on your own! However, if we change our laws, we can save the environment.
Progressivism requires collective action, not simply individual efforts. Acting as an "individual" is the goal of capitalism/consumerism. Don't punish yourself because our government doesn't act righteously, instead demand it.

I was wondering who Sinbad was going to endorse.
[Read the article: Hillary Clinton, sniper fire and Sinbad]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Now, who's got Pauly Shore's support?
-
This letter explains almost nothing
[Read the article: No revote in Florida]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I have no evidence to support this, but I would guess that the Dems in FL who have decided against doing anything are HRC supporters. No?
"Florida doesn't want to vote again."
Huh? Why the hell not?
-
Disingenuous Joan
[Read the article: Was Obama's speech enough?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Does Joan Walsh really give a shit which church Obama goes to? No.
Do I? No.
Do you? I doubt it.
-
Amy Sedaris
[Read the article: And now we must praise Tracey Ullman]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Strangers with Candy.
in the tradition, as well.
-
A better title would be...
[Read the article: Why John Edwards hasn't endorsed Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Why John Edwards hasn't endorsed Clinton or Obama.
Walsh is a hack.
-
What is it with good British Sit-Coms...
[Read the article: "Ab Fab" ... in church!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]and ill-fitting theme songs?
Ad-Fab had Dylon's "wheels of fire"
The office had that song "handbags and glad rags"
Extras uses "tea for the tillerman" by cat stevens
This show, too (i gather)
The songs have little baring to the tone of the shows.
Sort of like "Full House" using "Amazing Grace" sung by Tom Waits.
-
Gotta go with anything by Ayn Rand
[Read the article: What is your literary deal breaker?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Implies brave philosophical intellectualism, but is actually so much less.
-
Dear Joan Walsh, here is some advice for you...
[Read the article: Elizabeth Edwards: "Obama was charming"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Here's hoping other Democratic surrogates follow Edwards' lead and direct their formidable political firepower at McCain instead of at the two remaining Democrats fighting for the nomination." - Joan Walsh
-
what a phony
[Read the article: Hillary Clinton's petition ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]argument and candidate
-
worthless poll
[Read the article: Americans more ready for a black president than a woman?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]any poll that asks individuals what they think OTHER people think is worthless.
-
Who is the real journalist?
[Read the article: McCain's "triumph" over a nonexistent heckler]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I think Jim Acosta just lost that competition to a 16 year old girl.
-
"That's when the mothers are starting them these days."
[Read the article: Today's moral outrage: Bikini waxes for 8-year-olds]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]is this even true?
did one mother do this?
did any?
-
@ mizbinkley
[Read the article: Some in the military like pro-withdrawal candidates]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"Why do the troops...hate the troops?"
good stuff
-
bait and switch
[Read the article: My last word (for now) on sexism]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I agree that sexism is working against Clinton, but...that's not what you have been writing about. You have been randomly finding little issues that question Obama's candidacy. These concerns of yours seem disengenuous.
Are you a Clinton supporter (which, of course, is fine) that is working for your candidate? Or are you, Joan Walsh, actually concerned about Obama's church? If you are than why are you an editor of a website like Salon?
Now, after getting into a sort of ongoing argument with readers, you suddenly claim that all you are saying is that sexism exists, and who could argue with this.
Well, of course it exists, AND, i don't like Clinton as a candidate. She is too conservative.
-
Bad, phony Clinton logic
[Read the article: No, Hillary Clinton shouldn't be winning]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If you listen to Clinton supporters, then we can assume that every single vote for Clinton in the primary is a vote for McCain in the general election.
People need to think a little. If Clinton beats Obama in a "big" state 51% to 49% with high turnout and energy. Then Obama wins the nomination. It does not mean that he will lose that state. It means that in that state, Democrats favored Clinton by a hair. In the general election those Democrats will overwhelmingly vote for the Democrat.
-
newsworthy?
[Read the article: That's McCain, Johm McCain]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Can you imagine the field day the right wing talking heads would have with this if this error came from a Clinton or Obama ad?
-
What he said is true
[Read the article: Obama and the white working class]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]And Joan knows it.
she is a joke.
she is part of the problem. she wants things to remain the same, but have a seat at the Clinton white house dinners.
-
Neo-Cons and $$$
[Read the article: Dick Cheney was never a "grown-up"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Neo-Cons are basically the brains the Corporate America use to trick the rest of us into giving them our money.
Why do they want war in iraq? $
Why do they want an imperial president? $
Why do they want to ignore global warming? $
$ $ $
-
laughable article...
[Read the article: The rubes and the elites]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]lame "outrage" like this is why american politics has become a joke. a beauty contest with no connection whatsoever to the fucking over of the american population.
-
Joan, again, is full of it.
[Read the article: Don't blame San Francisco for Obama's "Bittergate"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Just another chance to bring up something (anything) to hopefully harm Obama. Oh, but the topic of this piece is American cities, blah, blah, blah.
Joan, if you are really upset that a politician said voters are bitter, then you need to go away.
Do you really prefer the phony "optimistic" nonsense that politicians usually spout?
Do you like the current state of politics? You sure are defending it pretty hard.
