  • animals in america

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

it's not enough to just hate creulty to animals via dog fighting, but what about the millions of animal put to death each year in animal shelters? A direct result of our country's indifference towards other living things.

Just because this story is big news now, doesn't mean that people didn't know about dog-fighting before. If you care now, why not before? If you care about the dogs that were hurt in the dog-fighting ring, do you care about other dogs that are killed in shelters?

It appears that the whole country can feel self-righteous and morally superior by taking this opportunity to hate Vick and his cronies and wonder who would do such things? In the mean time and in the future, I'm not sure anything will change.

  • huh?

[Read the article: Maliki: 3,721 U.S. dead = no standing to complain]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Is this post supposed to criticize Maliki? 3,721 US dead?! How many Iraqis have died? 100,000? More? Let's be fair, here. The idea that the Iraqi president should be more concerned with an invading/occupying army's troops than his own citizens is laughable.

  • Gonzales' Decision? Not Likely.

[Read the article: Why did Gonzales resign?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

It seems unlikely that the timing of Gonzales' resignation was his own decision. After all, it would be the first time anyone in this administration has acted on their own.

  • pageants are sexist and deserve ridicule

[Read the article: Miss dumb blond USA?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

BEAUTY PAGEANTS are sexist, absurd, dated, elitist, you name it. thus this video is an easy target. this poor kid's answer to a question confirms all our assumptions about these sham events. pick the pretty girl!!! but give her a scholorship and make sure she is against being mean to kids and puppies!

pagaents support the patriarchy. that's why they exist.

  • I wish I could control people with my mind

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The actual no-hitter tradition is to not say anything to the PITCHER, not each other. You know, the pitcher sitting all alone at the end of the bench.

I don't know when this tradition was expanded to include anyone, anywhere in the world saying anything.

When Jon Lieber threw a no-hitter for the phils a couple of years ago (yes, jon lieber), the radio anouncers never mentioned that there was a no-hitter going on. It was ridiculous listening to them twist and turn to not mention the most relevant and interesting thing happening.

I love baseball and tradition, but KK is right, this one is silly.

BTW-phillies fans can probably expect to see that clip of that phanatic home run thousands of times a year until we or the phanatic die.

  • Adopted Kids?

[Read the article: "A victim of circumstance"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Who the hell cares? Kids are kids.

You really show your ignorance when you point out such meaningless facts. It's really insulting. I have a sister who was adopted. She is no less our parents' child than me or my other siblings. Perhaps you think adopted kids should be kept in the root cellar, perform grunt work around the house, or maybe wear an "A" on their clothes.

And if you only mention this to somehow emasculate Craig, then you are twice the bigot.

  • i take it back...a little

[Read the article: "A victim of circumstance"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

so, if he has a sham marriage and adopted his children when they were all thirtysomething, that may be relevant. but don't just casually mention "adopted kids" without any context. If you are going to make a point, make it.

  • why would you possibly move out?

[Read the article: I let my friends stay with me and now they're evicting me!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Ridiculous advice. It's your place, you let them move in. they want a different housing situation, so they move. done. who cares about "it never looks good... pregnant woman". what about, "it never looks good to manipulate and screw over a friend who has helped you in times of need"

if you move, you are a total pushover.

and i've worked in housing law for many years. you can't discriminate against a house guest. the other comments are correct. in fact, if you are renting out a room in your house, you are legally allowed to rent to whomever you wish. this means you could rent only to women or whites, or whatever.

more tired, SAFE Cary Tennis advice. Grow a spine.

[Read the article: Fox News' hourlong Petraeus and Crocker commercial]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

the venezuelan tv station in question is a propaganda arm of big oil and foreign investment interests. they were responsible for delibrately doctoring images during the failed US supported coup a few years back.

they are not an independent tv network.

  • Jaws!

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Jaworski is the one of the best. He is actually intested in talking football. Not just because he has a job to do, but because he loves football.

He reminds me a bit of Hank Stram. Still the best ever at seeing what was about to happen.

  • And...regarding philly phan haters...

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Get over yourselves. After paying $100 per ticket to see teams owned by billionaires, with rosters full of millionaires; why is it our responsibility to be polite at all times? Sure, we may boo more than I would care for, but we also cheer louder and can be more supportive than any city in the country. You also don't realize how we LOVE our players, now and for years after they retire.

Its been a long time since we had a championship...we're just a little cranky.

  • What does Bush dream about?

[Read the article: The scruffy charms of an insecure president]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Does he still have that dream about it being finals and he didn't study? WHO CARES!

I don't give a shit about Bush's personal motivations. The issue itself is a complete distraction. He is not making decisions. The American Aristocracy (or Corporate America) is in control. Bush is their spokesmodel.

This is why we all lament the Democratic Party for not stopping the war, or whatever. They, too, are spokesmodels for corporate America.

    WAR = $$$
