Can we get rid of the other assholes now?

Now that Imus got the boot can we also get rid of Sarah Silverman, 'South Park', Sasha Baron Cohen, Opie & Anthony and others like them?.... Oh I forgot, that stuff doesn't count. It's embraced by all of the elitist hipster, rich white kids and critics, therefore deeming it 'brilliant'. Hey Al Sharpton and Jesse, if you really want to put your money where your mouth is why aren't you knocking on their doors? I would LOVE to see 'South Park' pulled from the air. And while you're at it why don't you go after every single prison thug, rap star as well.

I have a mixed view on this. Imus was singled out. I've never listened to his show, and I do agree that this type of comedy schtick/commentary/punditry, whatever has gone too far in many areas of pop culture. If he gets his ticket to the Hell Express or not because of this, it makes no difference to me. However, I am tired of all of these people who think that over the top offensiveness is 'creative comedy'. Shock value is SO 1980s. On the other hand I don't particularly like the way the Imus situation was handled. What he said was offensive and stupid, and it did deserve SOME of the attention it got. But this was so blown out of proportion. Yesterday it was 'Breaking News' upon his firing. Are you kidding me? He got fired, and Sharpton and his crew got what they want. SO-WHAT. Imus get's fired, OJ walks free, Michael Richards is holed up in his mansion, Stern goes to satellite, Tawanna Brawley forgotten, Duke students 'innocent'. I looked out the window today and the world looked the same as it did before this whole thing happened. Mission NOT accomplished. Can we get back to earth now?

Who killed the recording industry?

While it is true that the hogs in the recording business got all uptight about Napster and then subsequently dropped the ball on it, there are other contributing factors to why they're in trouble. The one really obvious one? The music being churned out these days...plain and simply, SUCKS!! In fact it just doesn't suck, it reminds one of the stench of 5 day old garbage in the middle of July. By insisting on playing it safe the industry has delivered nothing but and endless puke stream of Britney, Justin, Beyonce, Maroon 5 and other performers that specialize in the art of mediocrity. All of the great bands and artists that still have a shelf life today like (obviously) The Beatles, Hendrix, Aretha, Little Richard, Sinatra etc., etc. carved that niche in the popular consciousness because the work they produced was done from the heart without the micromanagement of some corporate a-hole who has a hard on for focus groups. That in addition to the fact that alot of these people were actually superb artists. Not to say that even if Justin Timberlake is 'coming from the heart' his work would be good. It's still vapid trash that will be long forgotten in ten years time. Can you believe we have an absolutely talentless air-head like Ashlee Simpson making records today? Unreal! Hopefully her time has come, but we'll see. We did have a majority in this country that elected Bush for two terms after all. Oh well, the music industry dies today. No big loss. Next victim: terrestrial radio, I hope you're listening...your days are numbered.

Why is this c-nt still getting attention

She's needs to be thrown in the same trash bin as Paris, Britney, and Lindsey. Good thing we never got any crotch flash photos from her though. She talks about Hillary's chubby legs? Can you imagine what she has between hers? Creature from the Black Lagoon comes to mind.
