Foxcatcher's Past

"Since Obama has virtually no legislative record to speak about, except for his vote in the Illinois Senate to kill infants who survive abortions"

-- foxcatcher

Yes, that's an issue Obama fought long and hard for! Not only that, he wrote the legislation!

To paraphrase Obama: "The fetuses who survive abortions MUST BE KILED!! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Let me say that again, in case your head is so far up your ass that Sean Hannity talking-points actually make sense. Quoteth the Foxcatcher: "His vote in the Illinois Senate to kill infants who survive abortions."

Doctor X: "Come back here!! I'm not through with you! .. Damn, if only some enterprising young senator would pass legislation to kill these fetuses that keep running out of the room!!"

Sean Hannity's Obama:"I'll take care of it doc! Even if it's the only legislation I pass, it's important to me!"

Straight talk

O STUMPS AS JOHN TRUMPS

"John McCain once again reshaped the dimensions of the race by suspending his campaign and calling for postponement of tomorrow’s debate....Obama has miscalculated."

-- Dick Morris 9.25.2008

THERE’S STILL TIME, JOHN MCCAIN

"(McCain)'s failure to do much of anything in Washington, after teasing the whole country and riveting its attention on him by suspending his campaign, has let the voters down — and they are turning away from McCain."

-- Dick Morris 10.1.2008

Right, right! ..... what?

Tuesday, October 7, 2008 12:55 PM

Oh, so what?

Just because Sarah Palin's husband hates the United States with a red hot passion, that's not as bad as Barack Obama whose preacher is a highly decorated Viet Nam veteran who received a Presidential Commendation from Lyndon Johnson!

I mean, golly gee shucks, she's not one of those liberal elites from a big integrated city who works to make America a better place. She's just a reg'lar ole moose-shootin', USA-hatin', Alaskan who looks cute as Tokyo Rose in the morning!

AND she can see Russia from her house! What better credentials could she have for pretending to love America than living as close to Russia as possible?

Is 'Soccer' the new 'Christian'?

"the people who are doing this, okay, go shopping in Glen Burnie and their kids play soccer"

-- CIA Director Michael Hayden

When did soccer become the shield against charges of dishonesty and anti-American behavior? And what happens if we find out Al Qaeda regularly plays soccer to blow off steam? Or that Osama Bin Laden has soccer trophies coming out his ass?

I guess I didn't receive my copy 'Things That Make You Super-Duper-Patriotic!', but the mere mention of soccer seems to have replaced "Christian" as the way that criminally corrupt behavior is now given a free pass.

Judicial Activism in the extreme

"If you pick judges because they will bend the law to suit you, you will have judge who will bend the law against you."

-- THawk7

And isn't it ironic that the most flagrant and grotesque abuse of judicial activism was committed by the people who rail against it the most - the rightwing - when the Supreme Court overthrew the decision of the American people who elected Al Gore to impose someone who would best serve their activist desires?

THawk7 & the intellectual inferiority of conservatives

"You are making a typical liberal analysis -- it was a decision that somehow restricts abortion in some, remote manner (as you see it), therefore, it is wrong and you must argue against it captiously forever."

- THawk7

Restricts abortion?? Overturning the election in 2000 by a conservative activist majority in the Supreme Court (Yes, a conservative activist judicial decision - lower case "c", like Bush's christianity), has something to do with the issue of abortion? I'd ask if you're off your meds, but righwtingers are NEVER off their meds!

To use your intellectually stunted parlance: "Typical rightwinger! Selectively concerned about life in regards to abortion - except in minority neighborhoods - yet supportive of genocide in Iraq with my tax dollars. I'm surprised conservatives can reproduce considering how much time they spend tap-dancing in men's rooms."

@ THawk7

"You have no argument so you look for typos.... You refuse to argue on point for one reason, you are wrong. Typos, mine, or yours, don't change that."

-- THawk7

Wow! You are one sick puppy! As with your baffling statement about how abortion is the reason I'm appalled at the Supreme Court overturning the 2000 election results (!), I’m now objecting to some phantom typos. You either have serious comprehension difficulties or you’re on the George W Bush ‘all the pills you can eat’ diet. I said absolutely nothing about any typos in your screed. I simply pointed the general bone-headedness of your bizarre assumptions, groundless conclusions, and regurgitated right-wing talking points.

It really is like living in an alternate universe with Republicans. Everything they believe is based on the imaginary, and reality infuriates them.

Hand at the tiller

Well, if Beelzebub's will succeeds on Nov 4th the way it has the last two presidential elections, I'm sure the fair-minded, rational, even-handed John McCain won't be unduly harsh with Asian hostages/prisoners.

The Daily Show

I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but Jon Stewart took Paulson's BS to task last night.

While the Post intelligentsia may think Henry Paulson is a leader, outside Washington he's considered a laughable douche bag.

Credit default swap VS blaming minorities

"You honestly think a company like AIG tanks because a bunch of minorities couldn't pay off their mortgages?"

-- Matt Taibbi

"what we're talking about here is the difference between one homeowner defaulting and forty, four hundred, four thousand traders betting back and forth on the viability of his loan. Which do you think has a bigger effect on the economy?

-- Matt Taibbi

I hate to think there's a concerted effort to keep a reality-based point of view off TV, but why isn't this sentiment raised every time some Buchannan/Rove/Limbaugh-esque racist blames black people for the Great Greed Implosion of 2008? Why is this perspective practically non-existent on TV?
