Angler

If it becomes clear that the Bush administration was behind the Anthrax attacks, any chance Pelosi would entertain the idea of putting impeachment back on the table?

The Republican who cried Pig

Oh, PLEASE let there be more Republican screechers like Rich007 to explain how the "left" has hit a new in not understanding how outrageous the act of invading someone's privacy is!

This is the best case of rightwing hypocrisy since McCain/Bush self-righteously proclaimed that "In the 21st Century nations don't invade other nations!"… Why, if you let the trampling of our privacy rights to go unpunished, and invading countries solely because those countries have no way of defending themselves against a 'shock n' awe' attack, then what’s next? Torturing innocent people solely for the sadistic thrill it gives you??!!!

It’s called SHIT SANDWICH, Mr. Rich007, Michelle Makin, Bill O’Reilly, et.al. … Enjoy swallowing what you’ve already EAGERLY approved..

I noticed Lee_Prince00 is a new account and that’s their first posting. Probably someone with a new account, a new email address, and ... Hey! Wait a minute!

Oo-oo! Let me field this one!

BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!!

Provide for the common defense?

"The idea that the Federal Government protecting the citizens of this country...the first statements in our Constitution...to provide for the common defense...is the same as criminals committing sabotage against the elected leaders of our government is incomprehensible."

-- Lee_Prince00

Nowhere near as incomprehensible as thinking that an administration can spy on the American people, anyone it wishes, without warrant, without probable cause, without oversight, without ANY JUSTIFICATION WHATSOEVER, and THEN make the bizzare leap that's to provide for the common defense?!

Equating the American Public with "Terrorists"

“The left now equates being a Republican governor with being a terrorist”

- agore

You mean "terrorists" like Greenpeace? Catholic Workers Groups? PETA? MoveOn.org? Any person or organization on Bush/Cheney's enemy list (which doesn’t include Osama Bin Laden, by the way)?

Like shooting fish in a barrel!

Keep ‘em coming!

Republican's Privacy versus the American People's Non-existent Privacy

"You all apparently think it is alright to do to Palin. So, is it fine to do the same to Obama?"

-- Rich007

Can you point to a single example -- just one -- of anyone here saying it's "alright" to spy on Palin?

You're either intentionally distorting the point (that the right is suddenly outraged at the invasion of privacy to one of their own, after 8 YEARS of Bush/Cheney's overt invasion of privacy on the American public), or you simply don't care.

Rightwing Entitled to Privacy - not the America people

"I would certainly love to see the personal correspondence of PETA, Greenpeace and MoveOn splattered all over the Net."

-- agore

Proving the point -- the American people are not entitled to privacy, only the Republican elite.

You've just admitted it's OK to spy on American's personal correspondences. American's being spied on is not only OK in rightwing world, it's to be encouraged.

Obama voted for FISA

"Obama voted for FISA."

-- rupert_c

I'm defending Obama? Huh?

Thursday, September 18, 2008 11:56 AM

@rhawk52

"My guess is Sen Obama would be among the first to oppose this invasion of Gov Palin. He may stand alone on this blog."

-- rhawk52

I don't know why I continue to be amazed at the make-believe world Republicans create in their minds, particularly after the past 8 years of Never-Never Land fantasies being their reality. The number of rightwingers on this board today thinking people are suddenly supporting "invasions of privacy” shows, once again, their typically mind-numbing ignorance to the fact that it's THEIR indifference to the invasion of privacy committed by the Bush administration against Americans that has people pissed off! Who exactly "supports" the invasion of Gov Palin's privacy? Is it really that difficult for you to understand that rightwing HYPOCRISY and INVASION OF PRIVACY against us lowly Americans that people are tired of?

Where has your outrage been at everyone other than Palin’s privacy being illegally invaded? THAT'S the POINT!

Thursday, September 18, 2008 12:41 PM

A vile prick for all seasons?

"You'd be shocked -- or maybe you wouldn't, but you'd definitely be frightened -- by the sheer number of people emailing me today to tell me what a vile prick I am for defending the hacking into Sarah Palin's email."

-- Glenn Greenwald

I actually thought the first few letters valiantly “defending" Palin's privacy were intentionally trying to change the subject. Once again, hoping my fellow man isn’t as shockingly stupid as he/she appears.

STILL, I have to believe, as seemingly clueless as these buffoons appear today as to the illegal surveillance state benevolently being executed to “provide for the common defense”(!) , watch how quickly they fully appreciate how criminal the invasions of privacy are once it’s not Republicans committing the crimes.

Angry furrowed-brow rightwingers

"You'd be shocked -- or maybe you wouldn't, but you'd definitely be frightened -- by the sheer number of people emailing me today to tell me what a vile prick I am for defending the hacking into Sarah Palin's email."

-- Glenn Greenwald

I'm thinking the reason they don't publicly challenge you -- such as on this board –- is because they actually know they're intentionally changing the subject. If they truly felt that you were supporting hacking email accounts (!), wouldn't they proudly post their comments here and "challenge" us evil-doing ne'er-do-well's who are proponents of invasions of privacy!!!???

I know their leader is a craven, gutless, mamas-boy draftdodger who cried "Bring ‘em on" to attack the troops from the safety of his heavily guarded fortress, but are they ALL cowards?!!

C'mon, wingnuts! Pretend you have a spine! Just once?
