the caucus vote, a travesty of democracy

North Carolina, which holds its primary Tuesday, got an additional 24 delegates for moving its presidential nominating contest from April to May. Indiana, which also has its primary Tuesday, got six extra delegates for keeping its primary in May. North Carolina has 115 pledged delegates at stake, Indiana has 72.

How exactly does waiting longer justify more votes? That doesn't exactly represent everyone equally or reflect the true will of the people.

of course if bush did veto the gas tax holiday bill

it would be the perfect wedge issue to use on mccain and the republicans during the election.

all the democrats would have to vote for it to work but since it was hillary's idea, obama automatically criticizes it. way to be a team player obama.

on the other hand if bush didn't veto it then we all get to save a little money......thats called a win win proposition and it would be thanks to hillary.

that has been obama's default position this whole campaign

when in doubt or when he starts sinking in the polls, attack hillary.

oh sure, it's not about bill clinton anymore or them being "racist" but he has stayed true to form.

he has no ideas of his own so he just attacks others.

it's called fighting back

i know it's something democratic wimps like kerry, reid, pelosi, and obama don't understand.

why do you think democratic congressional ratings are in the 20s?

because people are tired of democrats who don't stand up and fight back.

i'm sorry if it offends you but it's called politics.

you can't change the country if you don't win elections.

Tuesday, May 6, 2008 06:36 AM

it's really called "The Good Fight"? LOL

Kerry, Reid, and Pelosi are the biggest bunch of spineless wimps I've ever seen. They wouldn't even stand up to Bush when he was committing illegal acts AND when the majority of voters want action.

If thats fighting I'd hate to see what happens when they roll over.

lets try this again

Here's the deal.....Hillary proposes a temporary break on the gas tax. The Democrats draft the bill and have enough votes to send it to Bush (if the democrats will support it). Either Bush will veto it or sign it.

If he vetos it then it's the perfect issue to use against the Republicans in November who sustain Bush's veto.

If he signs it we all get a little break on gas prices.

Either way it helps the Democrats get elected and then they can actually draft more substantial legislation to address the energy problem.

It's how politics works, like it or not.

But it only works if the Democrats stick together. We already know Obama is not a team player, hopefully the rest of the Democrats are.

re: uncle fester

then wouldn't it make more sense for the democrats to count their votes the same way the electoral college does to make sure they pick the candidate who will do the best in that format?

When Compared to McCain, Voters Trust Clinton More than Obama on Five Key Issues

from Rasmussen Reports......and they are: immigration, health care, balancing the federal budget, negotiating trade agreements, and education.

why the african american vote will cost the democrats the election in november

The caucus voting system has exaggerated the value of that voting block. Blacks make up 20.1% of voters in the Democratic party. Obama automatically gets 90% of that.

Blacks make up roughly 13% of the total population according to the most recent census. That instantly cuts their clout by almost half. Even if 75% of the entire black population votes that lessens their clout again to under 50% of what it is in the Democratic party.

The caucus voting system has also given Obama the states of Texas and Nevada even though Hillary won the popular vote in both states. That won't happen in November when McCain will likely win both of them.

Not to mention Florida and Michigan which Obama has ignored. Florida will most certainly go for McCain and being raised in Michigan it would not surprise me one bit if McCain wins there too, especially if he picks Romney as a running mate.

Maybe one day the Democrats will see the foolishness of the caucus vote when the real election uses the electoral college and doesn't split the vote.

ONCE AGAIN DEMOCRATS SNATCH DEFEAT FROM THE JAWS OF VICTORY

Through the use of a flawed and misguided caucus voting system, Obama's ego, a biased media, and a pathological need to punish Florida and Michigan, the Democrats have cut off their nose in spite of their face.

Obama was right about one thing, McCain will make a better president than Bush.

I'll be back in November to say I told you so yet again. In the meantime, which will Obama blame more when he loses: Hillary or racism?

Hillary '12

ps i could never vote for a republican and i could never vote for someone as inexperienced and unqualified as obama (8 years of that is enough) so i will be staying home on election day.

I couldn't resist

Since Salon failed to report that Jerry Lewis was cited over the weekend for trying to smuggle a gun in his luggage I thought I would let readers know.

So the homophobic jerk finally shows his true right wing, gun nut colors. Now he can join the likes of Charlton Heston and Dick Clark where he belongs.

ps sorry for posting on this article but i couldn't find anyplace else

Original article: I'm so bored with O-B-A-M-A

you bet it's real

And it's exactly what Obama and the media deserve after spending month's shoving Obama's greatness down our throats.

How is he going to continue the campaign when people are sick and tired of even hearing his name? LOL

"Two-thirds of Republicans and about half of independents said they've heard too much about Obama, as did a third of Democrats, a significant number".

Original article: McCain ads hurting Obama?

Obama changing his positions on everything from

bringing home the troops, to counting delegates, to offshore oil drilling doesn't exactly help his cause.
