Considering Obama has done more to help Wall Street and organized religion

then he has to help the middle class the real question should be: with a president like Obama who needs republicans?

We are also repeating the same foreign policy mistakes

WASHINGTON — The Taliban’s widening campaign in southern Afghanistan is made possible in part by direct support from operatives in Pakistan’s military intelligence agency, despite Pakistani government promises to sever ties to militant groups fighting in Afghanistan, according to American government officials.

The support consists of money, military supplies and strategic planning guidance to Taliban commanders who are gearing up to confront the international force in Afghanistan that will soon include some 17,000 American reinforcements.

Over the past year, a parade of senior American diplomats, military officers and intelligence officials has flown to Islamabad to urge Pakistan’s civilian and military leaders to cut off support for militant groups, and Washington has threatened to put conditions on more than $1 billion in annual military aid to Pakistan. On Saturday, the director of the C.I.A., Leon E. Panetta, met with top Pakistani officials in Islamabad.

The American government can't even keep track of the $780 billion in corporate welfare in the US how can they put "conditions" on money in Pakistan?

Israel goes rogue yet again

A Sudanese government minister has confirmed reports of an air raid in eastern Sudan earlier this year.

The minister, Mabrook Mubarak Saleem, told an Arabic news channel that many people had been killed in the strike, said to have taken place last month.

The BBC's Paul Wood in Jerusalem says Israel's response is following a traditional pattern, set when it attacked a suspected nuclear reactor in Syria in 2007, of first refusing to confirm an alleged strike and then giving a nod and a wink.

What we are getting now from Mr Olmert is clearly the nod and the wink, our correspondent says.

Bush Dark strikes again

Just because someone isn't a christian doesn't mean they have to be killed.

The Obama pattern

1. Spread a rumor that Obama is going to do something liberal (decriminalize marijuama, end don't ask don't tell, etc.).

2. Obama supporters use this as prove that Obama is indeed a democrat.

3. Obama then ignores the rumor or comes out against the idea all together.

Result: Obama thinks he is scoring points with "centerists" while true democrats end up paying the price.

Since Obama increased the amount of our tax revenue that goes to churches

via the faith based initiative, these creationist morons will have even more money to spread their ignorance.

We don't need a pro war, pro corporate welfare, pro church, pro coal democrat for president.....that's what republicans are for.

We don't need another pro war president

911 killed a couple thousand Americans.

In exchange we destroyed Iraq and prompted up a few corrupt governments such as Pakistan, etc.

Lets call it even and get the hell out.

I've had enough religious wars to last me a lifetime.

Original article: Is Obama wrong?

You really think Obama will turn on his Wall Street backers?

I think you got too much sun on your vacation....

Given his decision not to accept public financing, Mr. Obama is counting on his bundlers to help him raise $300 million for his general-election campaign and another $180 million for the Democratic National Committee.

An analysis of campaign finance records shows that about two-thirds of his bundlers are concentrated in four major industries: law, securities and investments, real estate and entertainment. Lawyers make up the largest group, numbering roughly 130, with many of them working for firms that also have lobbying arms. At least 100 Obama bundlers are top executives or brokers from investment businesses: nearly two dozen work for financial titans like Lehman Brothers, Goldman Sachs or Citigroup. About 40 others come from the real estate industry.

The biggest fund-raisers include people like Julius Genachowski, a former senior official at the Federal Communications Commission and a technology executive who is new to political fund-raising; Robert Wolf, president and chief operating officer of UBS Investment Bank; James A. Torrey, a New York hedge-fund investor; and Charles H. Rivkin, chief executive of an animation studio in Los Angeles.

Obama and the dems are also channeling the NRA

WASHINGTON (AP) -- When Democrats acted last month to give the District of Columbia long-denied voting rights in Congress, the powerful gun lobby saw a target too good not to take a shot at.

The National Rifle Association's lobbyists made it clear to lawmakers that they believed the bill should include a measure to overturn the capital's gun control laws. Left mostly unsaid, but well understood by all 535 members of the House and Senate, was that failure to do so would unleash a barrage of political pain on resisters.

The result showed the strong sway the NRA has even over a Congress dominated by liberal Democrats who mostly disagree with the organization's positions. The Senate voted overwhelmingly to add the gun-rights proposal. House Democratic leaders, fearing a tough vote on the issue, swiftly scrapped plans to consider the D.C. voting legislation.

The American economy does not depend on how many cars are sold

maybe it did when Henry Ford invented the assembly line (Ford by the way paid his workers enough so they could afford to buy a car).

What did Al Gore say about the buggy whip makers again?

Instead of the corrupt and extremely undemocratic caucus vote.
