And Obama is the one leading with his $40 billion increase in the military budget and

increasing the amount of our tax revenue that goes to churches.

Which party won the election again?

Monday, February 23, 2009 08:41 AM

Didn't you know Sen. Shelby

nobody can ever question anything about Obama or his policies because that is racist, just ask the monkey.

there is no compromise.

Still no article on Salon about R. Allen Stanford

the guy who donated to both Obama and Mccain (not to mention many other politicians) and then stole over $9 billion.

I know it's not as important as a shiny gold statue or a cartoon of a monkey but in case if anyone is interested....

Top politicians are scrambling to distance themselves from well-connected financier Texan financier "Sir" R. Allen Stanford, who stands accused of defrauding investors of $9.2 billion through an Antigua-based securities scam. The list begins with the commander in chief himself, President Obama, who donated the $4,600 in campaign contributions from Stanford to charity on Wednesday. His former campaign rival, Senator John McCain, is doing the same for $28,150 from Stanford. Other top recipients include Senator Ben Nelson ($45,900) and Rep. Pete Sessions ($41,375). Other politicians may have a tougher time separating themselves from Stanford, who plied a number of lawmakers with jet trips to tropical locales and other perks.

Wouldn't know that by watching Obama

Increasing the military budget, increasing the amount of our tax revenue that goes to churches, and bombing Pakistan in the hopes of starting a civil war....maybe someone should tell Obama we don't want more republicanism!

Tuesday, February 24, 2009 07:41 AM

And 80% of the country backed Bush's Iraq war until the truth came out

Obama increased the military budget by $40 billion, he increased the amount of our tax revenue that goes to churches, and he has increased bombing in Pakistan in the hopes of starting a civil war.

He is indeed Bush Dark.

I wonder if Obama will ever apologize for advocating the removal of rights for gays/lesbians

Probably not, Obama loves his religious fanatics too much including Rev. "god damn america" Wright and Rev. Rick Warren.

re: this absurd notion that giving republicans everything they want will somehow "shame" them into bipartisinship

These people blame hurricanes on gays/lesbians and tell their colleagues to go fuck themselves on the senate floor. They have no shame in spite of their so called christian beliefs and 46% of voters still chose them.

As one of my old teachers said, "christians are the most un christ like people I have ever met".

The military and the church are the last ones who should get any stimulus money yet

Obama has increased funding for both.

Free money for everyone and the deficit be damned!!!

Tuesday, February 24, 2009 12:02 PM

You thought wrong, he increased funding for the military by $40 billion

The Obama administration has given the Pentagon a $527 billion limit, excluding war costs, for its fiscal 2010 defense budget, an official with the White House’s Office of Management and Budget said Monday.

If enacted, that would be an 8 percent increase from the $487.7 billion allocated for fiscal 2009, and it would match what the Bush administration estimated last year for the Pentagon in fiscal 2010.

So Obama proposes that the U.S. spend $40 billion more this year than it spent last year.

It's only a cut if you base it on what the military requested which of course is bloated beyond

imagination.

If you don't get it, I can't explain it.

Just don't ever buy a mortgage with me ok?

Obama expands missile strikes inside Pakistan

WASHINGTON — With two missile strikes over the past week, the Obama administration has expanded the covert war run by the Central Intelligence Agency inside Pakistan, attacking a militant network seeking to topple the Pakistani government.

The missile strikes on training camps run by Baitullah Mehsud represent a broadening of the American campaign inside Pakistan, which has been largely carried out by drone aircraft. Under President Bush, the United States frequently attacked militants from Al Qaeda and the Taliban involved in cross-border attacks into Afghanistan, but had stopped short of raids aimed at Mr. Mehsud and his followers, who have played less of a direct role in attacks on American troops.

If only wall street and the media would anoint black governors to these red states

like they did with Obama and the presidency then we'd be all set.

Just think if democrats had fought Bush instead of giving in to his every demand

how much of this torture could have been prevented.

Obama's actions speak much louder than his words

1. Obama increased the military by $40 billion

2. Obama increased the amount of our tax revenue that goes to churches.

3. Obama advocates discrimination against gays/lesbians by refusing their right to get married.

4. Obama's secretary of treasury Tim Geithner not only refused to pay his taxes but used to run Goldman Sachs, one of the largest criminal corporations responsible for our current economic state.

5. Obama increased missile strikes in Pakistan.

For all of Obama's pretty words, they ring quite hollow when the actual facts are considered.

You had a responsibility to stop Bush years ago

thats what an opposition party is for.

Instead the democrats gave Bush everything he wanted and now the citizens are paying the price, not the politicians.
