How Obama bought the delegates and the presidency (with wall streets help).

WASHINGTON — When Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill endorsed Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, she said she'd found a candidate who "gives us a reason to believe again."

Obama believed in her, too, donating $10,000 from his political action committee to McCaskill's 2006 campaign. She received nothing from the PAC of New York Sen. Hillary Clinton.

And when California Rep. Doris Matsui endorsed Clinton, she said the former first lady had been "a consistent champion and friend" of Asian Americans. Clinton's PAC had also befriended Matsui, giving $5,000 to her campaign. Matsui received nothing from Obama's PAC.

And if that's the case, it's good news for Obama. Since 2005, his PAC has donated $710,900 to superdelegates, more than three times as much as Clinton's PAC has. Her PAC distributed $236,100 to superdelegates during the three-year period.

The study found that the presidential candidate who gave more money to the superdelegates received their endorsements 82 percent of the time. That's based on a review of elected officials who are serving as superdelegates and who'd endorsed a candidate as of Feb. 25.

But records show that one-third of his record-breaking haul has come from donations of $1,000 or more: a total of $112 million, more than Senator John McCain, Mr. Obama’s Republican rival, or Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton, his opponent in the Democratic primaries, raised in contributions of that size.

An analysis of campaign finance records shows that about two-thirds of his bundlers are concentrated in four major industries: law, securities and investments, real estate and entertainment. Lawyers make up the largest group, numbering roughly 130, with many of them working for firms that also have lobbying arms. At least 100 Obama bundlers are top executives or brokers from investment businesses: nearly two dozen work for financial titans like Lehman Brothers, Goldman Sachs or Citigroup. About 40 others come from the real estate industry.

Hillary should be president

she is so much more capable and experienced than that religious fanatic Obama.

Original article: Are we there yet, Martin?

gay is the new black

Would King be proud that Obama got to the white house by using corrupt wall street money, buying more delegates than the other candidates, smearing Hillary a racist, and promoting discrimination against gays to get the religious vote.

Somehow I don't think he would.

Original article: It's an Obamanation!

Obama is certainly the corporate candidate as proven by the $700 billion in corporate

welfare......why not sell all the crap they can, he and rick warren can share a booth.

Tuesday, January 20, 2009 11:20 AM

It would be laughable

if the damage wasn't so horrific.

Wednesday, January 21, 2009 05:50 PM

Is he in favor of gay marriage?

If not then he is the same old bigot that raised money with his hate tour of the american south, refused to have his picture taken with mayor newsom, and gave rick warren a national platform to spread his hate and dvds.

Thursday, January 22, 2009 07:21 AM

They've ignored polls before including opposition to $700 billion in corporate welfare

and the majority wanting investigations into Bush's illegal wiretaps.

Caroline Kennedy is not entitled to anything

"that deeply alienated one of America's most powerful political families, humiliated a friend of the president of the United States"

This is about representing the people of New York, not sucking up to the Kennedys or Obama.

the more things change

the more they stay the same

I'm the last one to give credit to that self absorbed bigot but even they make me laugh sometimes

According to Obama, we can't hold terrorists at Gitmo without a trial, but it's okay to kill them without a trial.....Rush Limbaugh

Original article: Kirsten Gillibrand. Really?

yeah and obama is a "feirce adovate of gay/lesbian rights"

I won't hold my breath

Sunday, February 1, 2009 04:30 PM

The only socialist in the American congress voted against $700 billion in corporate welfare

there is no left in American politics, there is not even a center. There is organized religion and wall street. These two entities control everything from taxes to civil rights to foreign policy.

Think something like this could ever happen in America:

Iceland has announced a new government that will be headed by the modern world's first openly gay leader.

Johanna Sigurdardottir was named new prime minister by the country's coalition political parties.

ps spare me the obama is black argument, how many black millionaires do you know?

Monday, February 2, 2009 08:26 AM

Remember when we had an intelligent and experienced president who didn't cater to

organized religion's bigotry and wall street's corruption?

A president who gave us the best economy in 50 years, the lowest crme rate in 50 years, spread peace throughout the world from the former Yugoslavia to Ireland to Haiti, passed the beginnings of gun control, took on the tobacco industry and Microsoft.

Now we have a president based on the color of his skin and the color of his money.

Monday, February 2, 2009 08:30 AM

The same way they sold Bush's Iraq War

through the media.

Monday, February 2, 2009 08:33 AM

They are fighting for organized religion and wall street

same as the democrats.

Monday, February 2, 2009 08:40 AM

Schumer, Geithner, and Daschle don't know enough to pay their own taxes yet we are

to entrust them with the economy of the country?

Monday, February 2, 2009 08:48 AM

How about killing the people who start wars

instead?

Tuesday, February 3, 2009 07:37 AM

$700 billion in corporate welfare

could have been used to fix our infastructure and give us universal health care like every other civilized country.

But instead we gave it to the very people who created this nightmare so they can buy more corporate jets.

Tuesday, February 3, 2009 07:39 AM

$40 billion more in defense spending and over $700 billion in corporate welfare

which party won the election again?

Tuesday, February 3, 2009 07:43 AM

Maybe it would be easier to report on the politicians who did pay their taxes instead

of the ones who didn't?

It would save us all some time.

Tuesday, February 3, 2009 07:58 AM

It is programs exactly like these that save us money in the long term by

reducing medical costs.

But I don't expect people who don't even know how to pay their taxes to understand something like that.

Original article: Submit, woman!

You can thank Obama for giving Rick Warren a national platform to spread his ignorance

and sell more tshirts and dvds.

Tuesday, February 3, 2009 08:38 AM

Obama is responsible for Obama's nominees warts and all

although I know Obama taking responsiblity for his own actions is not exactly his strong suit.

Tuesday, February 3, 2009 08:46 AM

or get smarter leaders

sorry couldn't resist

Tuesday, February 3, 2009 01:00 PM

Schumer should fall on his sword

and do us all a favor.

Wednesday, February 4, 2009 07:49 AM

So Obama really hates gay people that much or he just sacrificed their civil rights

to win an election when he didn't have to?

Organized religion has a special status in this country:

1. they don't pay taxes

2. they can own property

3. they recieve other people's tax money to spread their propaganda

4. they hold presidential debates

If we, as humans, are ever going to reach our full potential we have to turn our backs on superstition and bigotry, not reward it by giving organized religion special rights.

Original article: Obama's hopes Daschled

What about Schumer?

He didn't pay all of his taxes either but since he already has a position in the government I guess it doesn't matter.

Thursday, February 5, 2009 06:39 AM

What about stock optiions, golden parachutes, and the like?

The executives will just get their money in other ways.
