east coast vs. west coast
[Read the article: Hillary Clinton's long strange journey on Iraq]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]When 911 happened I was living in Southern California. I remember being shocked and horrified by the images on tv. It was truly horrific to watch. However within a week or two it began to fade in my mind and I became more concerned that my electric bill just tripled because of Enron.
Hillary Clinton however was representing the people of NY and they were: scared, frustrated, and angry. So when President Bush presented evidence (via Colin Powell) and a proposal to go after those responsible for the attack on NYC of course she voted yes, I would have to. However President Bush lied to Congress, he lied to America, and he lied to Hillary Clinton. Instead of going after Bin Laden, Bush attacked Iraq.
Now some Democrats try to blame Hillary for Bush's betrayal.
Or expect her to apologize for Bush's betrayal.
Hillary did nothing wrong with her vote for the people of NY and has nothing to apologize for.
I for one hope she never does.

what happens when the media reports the truth about obama
[Read the article: The GOP attack plan for Barack Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]instead of just fawning all over him....
The March 14-18 Gallup national survey of 1,209 Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters gave Clinton, a New York senator, a 49 percent to 42 percent edge over Obama, an Illinois senator. The poll has an error margin of 3 percentage points.

ridiculous article
[Read the article: Clinton's nondenial on Obama pastor]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]This article is absolutely ridiculous.
The media will do anything to spin stories in Obama's favor.
-
a real news story
[Read the article: Clinton's nondenial on Obama pastor]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]In case anyone is interested in real news:
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton unveiled a second economic stimulus package on Thursday. Clinton called for new steps to address a deepening housing crisis, including a $30 billion emergency fund to help states buy foreclosed properties and provide mortgage restructuring.

more to come.......
[Read the article: Will Wright hurt Obama's chances?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Just wait until the Tony Rezko trial begins.
-
who cares?
[Read the article: Report: Richardson to endorse Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Hillary already has the Hispanic vote locked.
As for the 3% of Democrats who supported Richardson in the primary, I'm sure they will be thrilled.
-
hypocracy
[Read the article: The Obama passport snooping and the unchecked surveillance state]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Now we have Rice apologizing to Obama lol
It's nice to finally see some civility in politics but it's more than a little hypocritical.
Can you imagine Cheney telling Obama to "go fuck himself" on the Senate floor?
-
More hypocracy
[Read the article: Obama passport file breached]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]from the Bush administration.
How many years now has Waxman and others been fighting for files and information from Bush about: the environment, the oil companies, the firing of US attorneys, etc. Bush can't even find the emails.
Yet he's already managed to fire two people over this incident.
Now we have Rice apologizing lol
Can you imagine Cheney telling Obama "go fuck yourself" on the Senate floor?

trust
[Read the article: Clinton camp goes on offense against Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]ask Tony Rezko about trust.

[Read the article: Clinton camp goes on offense against Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Mar 21st, 2008 | WASHINGTON -- Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has told Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton that her passport file was breached in 2007.

Hillary Clinton leads
[Read the article: Clinton camp goes on offense against Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Hillary Clinton leads in the Electoral College vote and the popular vote.
Obama leads in the baffling caucus vote. Who came up with the rules for caucus voting in the first place?
-
thats the Bush mantra
[Read the article: War advocates like Anne-Marie Slaughter demand that you forget the past]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]the more incompetent you are, the further you go

where's her apology
[Read the article: Clinton's passport file breached as well]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]and what two people will be fired for it?

and the same is true of NAFTA
[Read the article: Barney Frank's new, improved Federal Reserve]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"none other than Woodrow Wilson, the president who signed the Federal Reserve Bank into law, (an act that he did not regret!) knew that incremental progress was our best hope."

The president is elected by the electoral college
[Read the article: Clinton camp goes on offense against Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Not some bizarre caucus system that only the people who created it understand, whoever they were?
If you add up the electoral votes from the states Hillary won you get 219 , Obama has 202. If you add Michigan and Florida for Hillary that gives her 263.
She has a better change of winning the REAL election.
-
typo
[Read the article: Clinton camp goes on offense against Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]has a better chance of winning, not change
-
al gore won the popular vote but lost the election......
[Read the article: Clinton camp goes on offense against Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]because he did not win the electoral college vote.
-
apples to oranges
[Read the article: Clinton camp goes on offense against Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]comparing the results of the democrats in the primary election via the electoral college is comparing apples to apples.
comparing a caucus vote to a non caucus vote is comparing apples to oranges.
-
Complain all you want about the electoral college
[Read the article: Clinton camp goes on offense against Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]but until something else comes along we have to deal with it.
I'd rather have the candidate who does the best in that kind of election (whether you agree with the system or not) and thats Hillary Clinton.
-
more Obama bias from the media
[Read the article: Politico: "Clinton has virtually no chance of winning"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]John McCain was supposedly dead too

the evolution of stupidity
[Read the article: Expel, expelling, expelled!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]but what more would you expect from someone who wrote for nixon and ford.

and you know he doesn't "generalize about a typical white person" because......
[Read the article: Moving beyond Obama and race]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]the good reverend wright told you or because every time someone criticizes him he cries racism?
-
obama's ties to religious extremists
[Read the article: Various items]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]First we have Obama's hate tour through the south featuring:
Reverend Donnie McClurkin who said he's "in a war with homosexuality",
Hezekiah Walker the anti-semitic Pentecostal pastor of Brooklyn mega-church the Love Fellowship Tabernacle,
and Mary Mary (a sister act duo) who have compared gays to murderers and prostitutes.
Then we have Reverend Jeremiah Wright with his infamous "God damn America" remark.
For someone who claims to be about peace and reconciliation Obama sure likes to surround himself with hate and intolerance.
-
and they have no one to blame but themselves
[Read the article: The Democrats' anti-momentum]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]for such an illogical and undemocratic way of selecting an nominee.
except maybe the people in the 70s who came up with this farce of a vote.
-
the obvious answer
[Read the article: The Democrats' anti-momentum]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Use a nomination process that is the exact same as how the REAL presidential election is held.
The winning candidate of each state gets all the electoral votes from that state. Whoever gets the most electoral votes obviously has the best chance of winning.
NO DELEGATE SPLITTING AND NO OPEN PRIMARIES.
Inviting the opposition party to vote in your own primary has got to be one of the dumbest ideas I have ever heard.
-
editorial ignorance
[Read the article: "We Don't Know This Sen. Joe"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Lieberman isn't acting any different now than he has been for the last 8 years.
That paper, like much of the media, is so biased it can't see it's own prejudices.
-
more hypocritical obama comments
[Read the article: "Clinton will not be able to win the nomination"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]When it's suggested that being black has helped him with
this campaign he denies it and claims being black
doesn't help anyone in this country (or goddamn
country if you prefer).
Then when it's suggested being black is going to hurt
him in the real presidential election he objects.
So is it a hinderence or not? He can't have it both ways.
Obama lies when it suits him.
For all his talk of change and running a "different kind of campaign"
he and Edwards have run the two most negative and slanderous campaigns
against a fellow Democrat I have ever seen.
