The Other Tragic Legacies

That the MSM is so pathetic. Of course they are going to ignore your book as they try to ignore the entire liberal blogosphere.

I think the final nail was the disgusting video of David Gregory dancing as Hillary Duff was singing on some morning show.

These hacks truly see themselves as celebrities first and foremost. They do not simply report the news; they are in tandem with the news.

Thanks Glenn. We are so glad you are on the right team. I purchased two copies of your book which is good. I already dumped a cup of coffee on one of them.

So give us the options

Glenn,

You wrote the plaintiffs could appeal, but no guarantee that their appeal would be heard. If the appeal is not heard, is that the end of this, at least as far as the courts are concerned?

Is the only recourse to this via the Congressional investigations?

Regarding the catch-22: You can't sue because you don't know if you were spied on yet who the government spied on is secret so you will never know. Is there a way to get this list? Do we need some modern-day Deep Throat to drop this list off at the Rolling Stones offices or something?

Simply Incredible

I give the guy credit for facing the music. Sounds like O'Hanlon has been having a tough time sleeping at night.

Of course the damage has been done and like all things in our media culture (Gore invented the internet) their report has served its purpose to push this "war" forward.

Thanks again Glenn for another superb job.

This too will pass

Some democrat may put out a statement and promise a hearing. Hell, a subpeona might even be issued.

The next outrage will appear and this will be yesterday's news.

We will attack Iran. The debate will turn to how long should we stay in Iran and the next 6-months are crucial. Bush will skate through. A democrat will be elected; blamed for the failure of Iraq and Iran, the Republicans will seize power again and we're back to square one.

Fuck it. I'm going fishing.

Thanks Glenn, for a stellar post as usual.

Is it official yet?

Are we in the preliminary stages of a facist state; or the last throes of a democracy?

Directly in front of our eyes, in the media, and for the entire world to see, our leaders are lying directly to the public. The media soaks it up and broadcasts it. Admiringly, I might add.

For the most part our politicians are reduced to shriveling cowards and incapable of one, single brave action.

And I mean every single democrat as well. I don't care about your record Kucinich or Feingold. Every single one of you are complicit if you don't do something about this.

Use your goddamned nuclear option if you must. Go on a hunger strike. But for God's sake, do something.

Here's the question to the good general.

Concerned Congressman: So, General, we hear all of this talk about how we have to fight them there so we don't have to fight them there. Is that right?

GenPet: Yes, that is correct. Thank you for asking.

CC: Well, then, we've been over there going on 4-5 years. Haven't you destroyed all of the terrorists figher planes and naval destroyers and nuclear submarines?

GenPet: Um, ooh, ah, I'm not sure what you mean...

CC: It's a very simple question. If we are so worried about fighting them over here, then why don't we just destroy all of the fighting equipment?

GenPet: Well, they don't have planes or ships.

CC: Then how the hell are their armies getting over here? Are they going to hold their breath and swim? Jump on a gib pteradactyl?

-At this piont GenPet's head explodes.

Original article: Petraeus' Pentagon skeptics

There are better ways to get to it.

I don't have a problem with "betray us" per se, but I think there are better ways to get at the issue.

It can turn off those "moderates" that are easily influenced and it's just too easy of a mark for the wingnuts to use. I realize they'll use anything, but I would have gone for a different tune.

Already, it's become THE issue to an extent.
