Original article: "That one?"

Elitist or Racist

Unfortunately for McCain the phrase "that one" can be seen as both elitist and racist. It portrays a "non-entity" or lesser person. How demeaning and rude of a person who claims to be for the people. Which ones, the ones with money and white skin? Which ones the ones who are "yes men" for him?

Additionally, McCain has consistently allowed those in his pocket, Palin-- "He pals around with terrorists", and the sheriff who introduced her in FL as the person who is up against Barack ‘Hussein’ Obama, to try to frighten the American public. Making them think he’s a Muslim extremist; and to that extent it can be construed as a posed terroristic subliminal threat that tries to keep us all huddled and afraid so we don't venture out of their small minded box.

Hagee, Ayers and the cheater

I guess she forgot that Rev. Hagee called the Catholic Church "A great whore" and referred to Hitler as a person "fulfilling God's will". Yet she states "I love Israel". If she wants to chastise Obama for associating with Rev. Wright she should chastise McCain for accepting Rev. Hagee's money and support. If the news didn't report it then McCain would still be in league with Hagee.

As to Ayers, well Obama also lived in the same neighborhood, and Ayers is Prof. Ayers a well respected educator at the university as compared to McCains buddies who raped those who had their life savings in the S&L. He didn't own up to any of it until caught.

Also don't forget he cheated on his first wife who was injured while he was in captivity. She had gone through 23+ surgeries before he was released. He came home to an imperfect wife and cheated on her with the 20yr. younger woman Cindy.

he needs a cape

It is rather funny how many times McCain has changed himself. I'd call him more of a prestidigitator then a president. Like the slight of hand that a magician uses, McCain uses "slights" against his opponent, while showing himself to be "slight" or lacking in the knowledge of what we really need as a country and people.

McCain called Obama a celebrity, yet he's the one who is subscribing to "there's no such thing as bad press" doctrine.

It's about the only changes we'll see from him. Same OLD, same OLD...

So well said

Just in case Jason Buckley's opinion wasn't posted here:

"Let's talk about presidential candidates who have palled around with terrorists. On one hand, we've got one who sat an a charity board with a 1960's radical. And on the other, we've got one who has not only had a working relationship with anti-abortion extremists, but has voted on legislation that protects domestic terror tactics for these nutjobs!

On multiple occasions throughout his career, McCain sought to limit the government's ability to punish violent anti-choice fanatics by:

- Voting against making anti-choice violence a federal crime. As the Jed Report notes, McCain voted in 1993 and 1994 against making "bombings, arson and blockades at abortion clinics, and shootings and threats of violence against doctors and nurses who perform abortions" federal crimes.

- Opposing Colorado's "Bubble Law." McCain said he opposed Colorado's "Bubble Law," which prohibited abortion protesters from getting within 8 feet of women entering clinics [Denver Post, 2/27/00]. The law was later upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court.

- Voting to allow those fined for violence at clinics to avoid penalties by declaring bankruptcy. NARAL Pro-Chioce America notes that McCain "voted to allow perpetrators of violence or harassment at reproductive-health clinics to avoid paying the fines assessed against them for their illegal acts by declaring bankruptcy." [full story]

Let's take a look at right wing "logic" ... apparently being friends with a guy who engaged in property destruction 40 years ago makes somebody a one man Islamic terror cell while using a position as US Senator to make things a little easier for people who KILL AMERICAN DOCTORS and harass women makes someone a great patriotic CHristian American."

So property is more important then lives and freedom of choice; and they're trying to call Sen. Obama a socialist & terrorist? Seems they forgot to polish that glass house... OH WAIT which house does he live in this week? He just wants to add another to his vast collection, one known as The White House.

Drunkard, Druggie and Womanizer HW,jr

He fits right in with the cheater McCain (refer to Carol McCain the first wife), and Palin "we should rouse up the crowd and kill em". He fits right in with her shoot first attitude.

I looked forward to seeing HW,Jr back in the 80's... yep drunk again on stage. At least the opening acts were good because we left the concert when he came staggering out.

Wonder if he'll let McCain use the mic "bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" at his next concert.

Transition Team

From Maurry Waas today "William Timmons, the Washington lobbyist who John McCain has named to head his presidential transition team, aided an influence effort on behalf of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein to ease international sanctions against his regime."

oops another one fell out of his pocket... he really is a magician. He can change lobbyists who were "paling around with terrorists" into God fearing respected members of his transition team.

re-set or time out

Maybe I'm missing the mark but "McCain version 2.2, since he already restarted his campaign last summer, then twice suspended it this fall in response to a hurricane and the economic collapse".

This doesn't sound like as reset as much as he needed a "time out". Correct me if I'm wrong but can we afford to have another president who takes "time outs", remembering the naps that Reagan took during his last term.

We have not time for "time outs"!

Lieberman

It is about color-- of skin or Lieberman would be supporting Sen. Obama. Or do we think it's the color-- of money? Another reason to side with Sen. McCain as he wouldn't want his money taxed further.
