Don't know how many ways we can say it. Many of us have tried to be respectful to the Clintons, Joan and pro-Clinton supporters in these threads. Understand it might be hard to find through some of the mean threads, but there are numerous calm, reasoned, responses to why we disagree with Joan that you all could read if you wanted to.
But no Joan, some of us don't agree with you on this. And some of us STILL think Hillary should apologize to the Obamas. Understand she won't. Fine. But we're not changing our opinion just because Clinton supporters (as always) are mad.
The notion that no one could POSSIBLY read anything any different than Clinton and her supporters do EVER, is precisely what we mean when we refer to this "entitled" attitude she and many of her supporters have had from the beginning. No one is ENTITLED to agree with you. Sorry. Tough luck.
Now as for should people overlook their personal grievances to vote Democratic? Hell yeah. I'm not going through all of the posts phrasing hypotheticals. Has everything that happened to Obama and Hillary been fair in this election? Hell no. Do you have to forgive those who have done it? Hell no again. But do you, as a responsible adult citizen (which all voters are) have a responsibility to BIGGER issues such as the Iraq War, the freakin planet, the economy, an improvement on healthcare, reproductive rights, a Democratic agenda and a dozen other issues have a responsibility to vote for the Democratic candidate? You're darned right you do.
It's up to you if you want to abandon that responsibility. Many of us have asked and begged everyone not to. But everyone must make an individual choice at the end of the day. You can ignore what I say. Don't care. But I'm not going to sit back and lie to you and tell people they're not morally responsible for what happens in this country and this world, and the continuing unnecessary deaths of young men and young women (white, black, brown, or whatever color) in this hellish war because they're too damned selfish not to vote for what they know is right simply because they've been offended by some jackass on a messageboard. That's how the country goes to shit. And you're either part of the problem, or part of the solution. Regardless of whether Barack or Hillary wins.
