Real classy Hillary

THIS is the problem with wanting to win at any cost. Those of you who kept going around touting her as a fighter, and ridiculing the rest of us for saying there could ever possibly be anything wrong with fighting to the end no matter what consequences be damned, THIS is precisely the problem.

Furthermore it goes to what many of us have said about demonstrating actual guts and her inability to do so when it's time to ever apologize for everything. She apologized to Robert Kennedy (who's dead) and the Kennedy family, but not Barack Obama. If "anything can happen" as she keeps reminding us, in order for her to get the nomination who exactly would it be "happening" to other than Obama? Just apologize to Barack already Hillary and get going.

Finally I think this was a pre-determined attempt to re-gain her support with some of her female base, as Hillary knew the press would jump on her for this and that same faction would jump to her defense, no matter how wrong she was, like they always do.

Also I'm of the Rachel Maddow school of thought. She wants to take this to the convention. Comments like these, and Hillary Clinton's complete inability to go a week without doing something so far below the bounds of common decency, is the reason why some people keep trying to ask her to either campaign like someone with some actual morality or leave the race. She's shown conclusively she wants to drag the Party down. It's time to step in.

It is an interesting approach to an article, to completely ignore the Clinton RFK comment

This is precisely why so many of us derided the whole "kitchen sink" approach from the start. When you're willing to do anything and say anything to win, well you end up stooping to comments like Clinton's today.

And, again, her supporters will dismiss her words. That I don't mind. But trying to blame it on someone else, on the media (as they already have on t.v. and surely will again) and then screaming about all that Obama has done wrong is what is sad at this point. And to say you still wouldn't vote for Obama? After Hillary evoked assassination as a reason for her to stay in the race, and not only didn't Obama respond but he sent David Axelrod out to say he knew for a fact (not "as far as he knew") that Clinton didn't mean anything even remotely bad is what is wrong with some Clinton supporters.

Also if Hillary is so tough she'd be able to summon up the guts, just once, to issue an actual apology to the people she's implicated. Not to some analogous "whoever may have been offended." She offered the Kennedy family an apology, but oddly not Obama. An apology to the Obama family would be nice in this case. Particularly, as it is common knowledge Senator Obama's been subject to an unusually high number of death threats and had to receive Secret Service protection earlier than the other candidates for obvious reasons.

Now what Obama should do about Appalachia: ignore Kentucky and West Virginia, spend all of your time in Ohio and Pennsylvania. He's already up on McCain substantially in Pennsylvania. Focus on Ohio now, get Strickland out there, and win that state over.

RFK Jr. can be forgiving because he got an apology

Obama didn't. As usual when it came time to apologize Hillary Clinton took the easiest path, find one of your supporters, apologize to him or her and move on.

I haven't heard Caroline say it's okay. I haven't heard any of RFK's other children say it was okay.

Again how is Barack Obama, Michelle or any of his family going to forgive Hillary when she's never apologized to them. For anything. Ever. Not the "Shame on you Barack Obama", not the 3 a.m. ad, not the "kitchen sink" (which members of her own campaign warned the media about and said it made them so sick many of them were contemplating quitting), not the Osama Bin Laden ad she ran, not Bill's questionable comments, not her "as far as I know" comment, not her "hard-working Americans, white Americans" comment and now not this.

How can you forgive someone who never apologizes? If that's politics, fine. But quit asking us why Robert Kennedy, Jr. is forgiving her and the Obama family might not be as quick to. Easy he got an apology. And, again, for someone with as much "guts" as I keep being told Hillary Clinton has, it seems like she would stand up and apologize like a decent person.

SUSA now has Obama up on McCain in PA, OH, and VA, and Michelle clarified her comments

As that's all Hillary Clinton ever does, "clarify" her commments why is this not sufficient for Michelle? In this case the burden is on you not me, as I've stated Hillary's clarifications are not sufficient, but Clinton supporters have argued that they are. If they are sufficient coming from Hillary then please tell me again why they are not sufficient coming from Michelle.

Also before you invoke Hillary's people, we all know half of them are voting for McCain in the general anyway. But go ahead, if the spectre of the "angry Michelle" does so much for you wave it around.

Frankly I think Michelle's been an asset. And apparently so does the McCain campaign as they have to send Cindy out to contradict everything Michelle says and once they found out Michelle was getting a spread in Vogue they complained to the editors and demanded Cindy get the same.

If you think Michelle's gonna be a drag with so-called Reagan Democrats and Independents, just wait till you see what happens if you put Hillary Clinton anywhere near a ticket in a general election. You know it and I know it: Republicans would come out to vote against Hillary Clinton twice as fast and in ten times greater numbers than they would Michelle Obama. Fact.
