No jeb by my logic NO ONE should tell just ONE RACE that they're not a part of they know what's best for them

That's racist. I'm sorry but it is.

Look I'm trying my best to engage this rationally. But some of you, who we all know are bordering on being racist, REFUSE to recognize the fact that black voters are somehow always the only ones who need to be told what's best for them.

You're darned right I resent that.

Barack Obama's not telling black voters he's just the best candidate for them. He's telling him he's the best candidate for EVERYONE.

Why is the argument always made by certain white supporters that they know what's best for black voters? I don't see you people going around (as much) telling white voters you know what's best for them. No. Yet you're always on here ready to tell blacks you know what's best for them, and they don't.

That they're being racist merely voting for the black candidate.

Have you read ANY history at all? Do you know how many elections in this country have been won by white candidates running on an explicitly pro-white (i.e. not only maintaining the advantageous position of whites but also purposefully denigrating the position of blacks) in this country?

No one, I repeat no one, who is not part of any race should feel entitled to segregate one race of people and tell them they know what's best for that race even though they're not part of it.

And like I've said the standard is not evenly applied. It is only to black voters, that I repeatedly see white voters on here telling them (blacks) that they (a white voter) know what's best for blacks. Why aren't you telling Latinos this? Why aren't you telling Asian Americans this?

It's also slightly patronizing to assume that the Clintons "did so much for the blacks." News flash: We're all Americans, jerks! And again why don't I hear this language when it comes to working class white voters. Are they voting for the Clintons because "they did so much for the whites?"

And, again, I'm being mild here. We've all seen the level of psuedo-racist crap/hatred that's been posted on here. Someone actually wants us to defend Denzel Washington and Halle Berry's Academy Awards. I'm not doing that.

Why do black people have to defend everything? You defend why you're voting for your candidate. But don't tell another race why you know what's best for them.

And don't say it's just an outgrowth of this article. Anyone who posts on here knows the racist crap we've been dealing with for months. I'm done with it.

So you jeb, or you KateTex, or any one else please tell me, specifically, why Clinton is best for white voters. And make sure to include "all the things they did for the whites."

Why racism is not only stupid but potentially a losing argument in this election

Another thing that pisses me off about this is, in the few instances where it is used by white commentators on races other than blacks, it leads to some odd conclusions.

Does anyone else around here remember when the Clinton supporters were arguing that we would lose California without Hillary because "the Mexicans don't like the blacks"?

Or we would lose New York because "the Jews don't like the blacks"?

Isn't it funny how these arguments are rarely made by those who belong to those actual ethnic groups. I've seen a number of Latino-Americans, Jewish-Americans and Asian-Americans vote for Barack and come on blogs like this to support him.

But once again a small segment of white Clinton supporters and commentators (who no, aren't racist, they swear) want to tell us how all other ethnic groups are going to line up to vote against the black candidate because they (who are not members of any of these groups) just "have a feeling" that these other groups "dislike all blacks."

I'm sorry but the reason this needs to be confronted is not only because it's racist and stupid, but because it could potentially cost the Democrats the election.

This is not 1956.

Running the election like it is (as some Clinton supporters want to do) only guarantees we, the Democrats, will lose the White House.

If certain Clinton supporters, even after reading articles like this, literally can't understand the mathematical (forget humane) importance of the African-American vote, then you seriously have to question whether or not they're the ones you want to count on for your electoral math.

And, again, if any of you would bother to read the argument, yes the black vote does matter, it has mattered and it will still matter in November. If it doesn't come out for the Democratic candidate (whoever it is) we lose. Period.

TRenee I enjoy your posts too and am also sorry about your grandmother

She sounds like she was a really cool woman. Agree with others you have some of the most thoughtful posts on here.

There are many others who I often mean to compliment but forget, but since it's apparent you somehow thought someone was referring to you as a troll I have to speak up and say definitely you are not one of those.

Anytime you attempt to use logic and reason on here, whether you're black or white, certain people on here always jump on you. Just ignore it.

Also some of the best posts on here are often by the former Kucinich or Edwards or Richardson supporters who post. Also I really enjoy the posts where people remind some of the Clinton supporters who insist on only viewing Barack's support as black, that many of them who are white and outstide of Obama's so-called demographic support him too.

The delegate game better change tomorrow

Otherwise you're going to start to hear it from some of us. It's cool. But honestly at some point, like all things in life, this has to start to move forward or backward.

And there must be a winner or a loser.

And if you want to rob someone, just rob them and get it over with.

Otherwise we're continuing to live in a fantasy world and (sorry) but that's not something I can keep doing.
