I don't understand why this upsets you. They've been on the ballot for 28 straight years this is bad enough. Of those they've been in the White House for 20. Those 20 are straight too! How is that not disturbing. You have the same two families essentially trading the presidency off every 4-8 years.
Now this alone would be intolerable. The fact that they're now apparently not counting votes they don't like (circa 2000 Florida, 2004 Ohio) makes it a de facto conspiracy. A lawyer would glady take this case to court and charge someone with it.
To me this alone is still more than enough. Possibly you haven't noticed the chummy relationship between the Bushes and the Clintons? Bush I and Clinton I travel around the world together, golf together, and hang out together. Is there anything wrong with this? No. But again the situation is different when you keep consecutively running members of your family for what is supposed to be the highest elected office in a democratic country. This now moves from just conspiracy into criminal conspiracy and you're approaching collusion.
Well any presidents can be close? Yeah but are they? How often have you seen Bush I hang out with Carter? I just really don't know what you need to convince you this is not a good idea for a country that was built on a elected representative democracy.
Now let's get to the rights of the presidency itself. Hillary Clinton has NOT signed a pledge to restore the rights of the executive to the proper levels they were at pre-Bush II and restore the legislature to its proper equal footing with the executive. Barack Obama has done so, John McCain has done so heck even Mitt Romney did so. She was the only one who didn't. On top of this she has constantly voted against any provisions to curtail executive power. This is wrong. You name it if it limited the president's power she wouldn't vote for it. I don't understand this. She didn't read the NIE taking Bush at his word as an honorable man. I have to ask does this come from the fact that possibly your two families are too closely entwined?
Now we have rumblings about George P. and Chelsea. This is what bothers people about Chelsea. She won't even answer questions for the press. I understand despicable things are being said about her, but how is she going to run for an office where she won't even talk to people? This is baffling.
Finally there are their well-known financial ties. Check the Carlyle Group. From Wikipedia: "The Carlyle Group is a Washington, D.C. based global private equity investment firm with more than $74.9 billion of equity capital under management."
Its members include George H.W. Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, James A. Baker and an apparent investment of $1.18 billion from the Saudi Royal family. A widely acknowledged but uncredited, highly paid senior advisor: One William Jefferson Clinton.
Now I would be willing to call this all bunk if she (and the same thing went for her husband, Dubya and his father who were all equally secretive) would simply release her tax returns. But she continually does so for unexplained reasons. Listen not trying to go too far into this but since the dynastic angle alone clearly does not bother you (don't know why, but again you're entitled to your own opinion) surely the financial aspect does? And again if it's not true do what we all and Barack Obama has been asking, what every candidate does, simply release your tax returns. What's the delay? Unfortunately in the atmosphere we're in that's viewed as a political attack. One of the advantages of continually being in office for 20 years everything can be construed as a political attack. This is what they (the Bushes and the Clintons) do. Obfuscate, ofuscate, obfuscate. It's an old game and we never seem to learn the rules.
