The single biggest reason?

"What's without qualification is the right for Israel to exist"

Why? What confers on an artificial construct like a nation state

a "right to exist". Did Yugoslavia have a right to exist? If so what happened? Did Palestine have a right to exist?

Surplus

You guys really should cease and desist with the lies about a "surplus". It didn't exist. Look at the the data that matter, the actual total government debt. It's increased ever year since 1957. Even you should be able to understand that if you debt has increased then you have spent more than your income.

The data is here. Pages 133-134

Obama's Centristism

I wonder what all the morons who were wetting their drawers at all the "change" that's coming feel now.

How it really works

The great Arthur Silber (http://powerofnarrative.blogspot.com/)

has consistently explained why it doesn't matter if Barack Obama,

Hillary Clinton, George Bush, John McCain, Tina Fey or Jesus Christ himself occupies the White House:

http://powerofnarrative.blogspot.com/2008/08/psst-while-you-were-gibbering-ruling.html

The game is rigged, the cards are dealt, the outcome is known and YOU LOST.

Rosen

It's precisely because of this that the Clintonian bitch was heard to say that the trouble with the Internet was that the were "No Gatekeepers".

Original article: No more "wars of choice"

Another fantasist totally remove fron reality

"Many centrist Democrats have spent so much time in the last few decades trying to prove that Democrats can be as hawkish as Republicans"

Who was in office when the following were embarked upon?

WWI

WW2

Korea

Vietnam

Kosovo

The democrats have a long history of bloody aggression.

Is good on the Fed, not as good as Ron Paul of course, but then who is?.

He's lousy on the Israeli war crimes in Gaza. Check out his web site, it's all Hamas' fault

"Journalism"

It's precisely because the web is starting to chip away at the corporate media (and you should never, never refer to them as the "mainstream" because they are so far removed from the reality of most of America.) that we can expect a concerted attempt in the near future to install "gatekeepers" of some sort.

Retired Military Patriot

It is not possible to be a "Retired Military Patriot". if you were a patriot: some-one who loves a land and its people, you wouldn't have joined the military.

Tuesday, February 3, 2009 05:46 AM

"defense spending"

To call this "defense" spending is, in and of itself a lie. On September 11th 2001 we saw the utter inability of the the military, on half a trillion dollars a year, to defend its own headquarters against $12 worth of box cutters. (If, that is, you believe the governments GEICO conspiracy theory: "9/11, so easy a caveman can do it.")

The great Arthur Silber

has recently started to address how people get to this condition in his series on tribalism here:

Obama should expect a call from Bush:

"Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job,"

Friday, February 13, 2009 07:13 AM

The great Arthur Silber gets obama exactly right.

It's not just on the left

"ideas that are threatening to the media and to the political elite end up being attached to the label of liberalism or leftist ideology."

Look how the media treated Ron Paul when he was threatening the status quo from the right, especially that piece of filth Tim Russert.

"Play the role of journalists"

My then 6 year old son picked up on this a year ago. After a trip to see The Golden Compass movie, he turned to me to say "Daddy, there was a man in the movie who looked just like the actor who plays Chris Mathews on TV". He was talking about Derek Jacobi who plays an operative of The Magisterium, the official arbiter of political correctness in the movie. He was wrong about Jacobi but he's certainly picked up how things work.

Original article: This war is our war

What a clown

No! This war is not "Our War" unless Walsh is addressing herself solely to the killers in Washington, the media whores who push their propaganda and the thugs who enlist. The "war" on Iraq- in reality a 17 year long Genocide murdering 2,500,000 people, is one of the most viscous acts since WWII and can only be "owned" by the most brutal sub-human filth.

Emanuel

It's bad enough that the media is stuffed with "Knicker Wetters for Obama". That this plague of incontinence is now extending for the benefit of the likes of a piece of trash like Emanuel is really too much.

Truht Commissions

It would be great if there was to be a bidding war for how draconian the investigation into the Bush crimes should be, but I'm not holding my breath.

Anthrax attacks

The Anthrax attacks ceased because they had fulfilled their purpose. The hold out senators who questioned the Patriot Act were silenced.

Not just Iceland

The combination of

A. A Central Bank.

B. A fiat currency system.

C. A Debt based money supply.

will always be basically unstable.

Add in the little noticed fact that the Federal Reserve Banks are owned and staffed by the countries banks themselves and the stage is set for a perfect storm of losing and looting.

"regain our moral credibility"

This is astonishing. Outside of the parochial little fishbowl that's America, I don't know anybody who's ever taken the position that America has "moral credibility". The view of America as an aggressive corrupt warmongering rogue state has been almost universal for decades.

@GG

Glenn. This came out the way it did not because of some flawed claim to global omniscience, but to a sloppy cut and paste. The final line was clipped. It read "That is among the people I speak to on this."

BTW I've seen these polls before and like everything generated by corporations relating to the forming and measuring of public opinion I'm just too cynical to accept them.
