  • Imus Firing

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]

    Dear Mr. Kaufman,

I am 60 years old, white, male, United Methodist and live in a

small village in Northwest Ohio. This county has a population

of about 70,000 including 400 African-Americans and I have been

a resident for over 38 years. Every white male I know who

lives in this county has blamed African-Americans for every

personal and public problem the white male has experienced in

this county. The local police will not tolerate an African-

American in their ranks, more than one African-American in an

area on the street is regarded with suspicion, and the n-word

and/or other bigoted terms are used frequently. Every white

male I know who lives in this county is filled with anger

fueled by a sense of entitlement and victimization when they

fail to live up to their expectations. African-Americans

are their first outlet for this anger.

Imus and his army of wannabes pander to these white males

and profit from encouraging their bigotry. I am sick of men

like Imus, Beck, and Billy Cunningham being given major

media infrastructures to limit and ruin the lives of people.

I don't care if Imus is a scapegoat. His firing removes a

major panderer of prejudice. Any decline among his

wannabes in spewing their racist, sexist, homophobic, and

anti-Semitic slime will be a bonus. Believe me, bigotry is a

pandemic disease in the Heartland and removing men like Imus

from the airways is an important part of the cure.

  • John Edwards

    Dear Mr. Ose,

Why are you keeping this non event alive? Is it laziness,

shallowness, peer pressure, ignorance, or all of the above?

This kind of promotion of trivial, irrelevant, meaningless

presidential candidate behavior is exactly how we ended up

with eight (8) years of the worst human being as president

in history. Refer to the crap about Mr. Gore and Mr. Kerry

and the ass kissing of Mr. Bush for how NOT to report.

Refer to The Daily Howler for how the media was the main

villain in getting Americans into our current abysmal mess.

Writers and editors have got to STICK TO THE ISSUES or

they are a major part of the problem.

FOR GOD'S SAKE, LET THE DAMN HAIRCUTS GO DOWN THE DAMN

    MEMORY HOLE!
