  • Golden State Celebrity Fans

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The "celebrity fans" that Barkley was complaining about are mostly the product of Baron Davis' time at Crossroads School in Santa Monica where he was a classmate with Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba's boyfriend. So no, the Warriors do not have celebrity fans yet -- at least not in this round.

  • another great article

[Read the article: Ask the Pilot]

Will someone please please start a movement to get Patrick Smith appointed as the next Administrator of the FAA?

  • Let's not forget Henry Kissinger

[Read the article: Al Gore wins the Nobel Peace Prize]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I love how the Gore bashers keep mentioning Arafat's name as proof that the Nobel is flawed. This prize stopped being relevant the day they gave it to Kissinger

  • Maybe it's time to look at Theo and Francona?

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I hate how the media overreact when the Yankees lose a series, but I'm starting to wish just a little bit that the media would have at least some reaction to the abysmal job that Theo Epstein has done in the past two years, and maybe at least raise a question mark about Francona's use of the bullpen.

Theo Epstein's big moves the past few years have all been huge duds: Coco Crisp ($15M/3Y), JD Drew ($70M/5Y), the trade for Gagne, $100M for Matsuzaka, etc. And it's arguable that the success of the 2004 was more due to moves made prior to Epstein's arrival. And as far as Francona, ask the Phillies how good of a manager he is.

  • Toxic Hell

I know product placement is nothing new. But last nights sound clip of Royce Clayton was an absolute shame. The saddest part was that Ellsbury had no clue that Clayton was schilling for e. coli bell. The rest of the series will be listened to on radio and muted on Fox.

  • Fox makes conservatives look worse, not better.

[Read the article: Quote of the Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

So is he saying that George Will (NBC), David Brooks (PBS), possibly Tucker Carlson (MSNBC/PBS/CNN), or the host of other obviously intelligent conservatives on networks other than Fox knucle-dragging morons? I'm about as liberal as you can get, but there is no way that Fox makes conservatives look like anything except a bunch of blowhards who obsess about homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

  • The incorrect perception of Adam Vinatieri

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

    King--

You called Vinatieri, "the clutchest, Super Bowl-winningest kicker of all time." An excellent article by Michael Lewis in another publication says, "Adam Vinatieri ... is about as likely to make a clutch kick as he is to make an ordinary kick. And he is not all that more likely to make the clutch kick than the ordinarily good N.F.L. kicker."

The only thing special about Vinatieri is that he thinks he is clutch.

  • Just say no

[Read the article: King Kaufman's Sports Daily]

Barry Bonds should have just said that he was addicted to steroids and HGH as a result of surgery he underwent in the past. Then the award would have been his.

  • the difference between paul and kucinich

[Read the article: Memo to Fox: One of the horses is missing]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Paul is actually getting a significant amount of votes. Nearly as many as Guillosilini and way more than Thompson. Kucinich has proven in his earlier runs for president that he isn't viable. While CNN is not putting up a picture on Kucinich, they also aren't putting up a picture of Gravel.

  • The only thing this means is more TV shows coming to the big screen

[Read the article: Sex and the box office]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

All this movie demonstrates is that people who like a TV show will show up to see a movie version. This happened last summer with The Simpsons to almost everyones' surprise. It is unlikely that S&TC will be in multiplexes for weeks to come since most people who were interested saw the movie the first night (after early sellout crowds, the same article you posted showed that they were expecting to make $70M, not the $50+M they ended up with).

And as far as women being written off by movie studios? There are now four movies with decidedly female appeal at multiplexes. Maybe you mean that there aren't summer blockbusters for women? Well there aren't summer blockbusters for intelligent people either.

  • They are preparing for the propaganda war against Iran

[Read the article: Lanny Davis joins Fox News]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Fox news is loading themselves up with Democrats who are hawkish against Iran, in large part so they can demonstrate to their audiences that both D's and R's are united against Iran. It is unfortunate that Fox is blatantly using individuals who support Israel in this way, but it isn't surprising.

  • Wow the racist guy is also sexist.

[Read the article: Clinton's campaign is cold, but sexism is still hot]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Suggesting that a pin that is clearly a swipe at Teddy Kennedy is sexist is a pretty weak argument. You don't have to stretch so far to find anti-Hillary pins, as the examples on Jezebel show.
