Fierceness Rules the Runway
[Read the article: "Project Runway": The rundown]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Fashion is art. That is what Christian created with every outfit. Dior, LaCroix, Vuitton, Prada, and any other number of world famous designers all make exquisite fantasy runway pieces. Christian's ombre dress and feather gown were exactly in that couture mold. His voluminous coats and cigarette pants are precisely what I would wear if I was a movie star, model, or unbearably rich woman of leisure like ultra-chic Ms. Beckham. Yes, I wish that he would have subtracted one coat/pant ensemble for another short dress or skirt, but each outfit he presented beautifully illustrated the endless variations of his theme.
It will be easy for Christian to edit his designs for retail to a larger market. On the flip side, did anything that Jillian created transcend what you could procure at Macy's? Jillian's clothes were mostly cute and wearable (minus the cut-out front sweater and the pointy-shoulder blazer) but they didn't elicit an emotional response like Christian's did. Rami's gowns certainly qualified as high fashion as they were breathtaking; however, the rest of his designs were heavy and dowdy in horrible colors. A runway collection should take your breath away and that is Christian accomplished. Bravo to the little pixie!

Why can't we all just get along?
[Read the article: Let 'em duke it out]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I would like to know why Clinton and Obama can't broker a deal to run as president and vice together. Everyone, especially Obama, is going on about change and bringing the country together- what would do that more than a unified campaign with two exemplary candidates? Obviously in this scenario Clinton would be president and Obama vice. This way, the more senior Clinton can effectively execute a presidency and Obama can step up and take her place after (cross your fingers) eight years. From Obama's perspective, he would still be the second most powerful person in the country, so isn't that still a win for him? I just am a little sickened by two worthy candidates hurling insults at each other when they really need to be working to bring the party together to ensure a democrat takes back the White House. It seems that if they are really after what is best for the country (i.e. no more republicans running the country into the ground) that they would put their egos aside and form an estimable union.

Vote again!
[Read the article: Should Florida and Michigan vote again? ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Yes of course Florida and Michigan should vote again! Or better yet, just let their standing votes be counted. It is absolutely ridiculous that millions of people will not have their opinion count because the idiot democrats are bogging everything down with arcane rules. Who cares when they vote as long as people get out there and vote!

[Read the article: Should Florida and Michigan vote again? ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Geez what a jerk you are with you last few lines of comment there. How very nice that you would add to the problem of Republicans dominating the political landscape of this country by switching over if Clinton is nominated. What exactly is your beef with this intelligent, esteemed lady? Though her campaign has not been run well she is an eloquent, driven woman who would turn this country around.

Chris March is great... but his collection wasn't!
[Read the article: "Project Runway": The rundown]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Okay, I loved Chris March. He was such a warm, funny, lovable human being on the show. Honestly, I thought he would win fan favorite and I wish he did (since I always believed Christian would win it all). However, if you look at his collection in its entirety, it is pretty tragic at times. All that crushed velvet! That horrible black flapper-esque beading! I didn't even mind the human hair, except he overused it. The silhouettes were mostly okay except for the dowdy mid-calf length skirts and that horrible long jacket over baggy pants look. The looks I did love were the chiffon dresses. Particularly the first dress, which was a little cheeky and whimsical while still being great fashion.
The difference between Christian and Chris' "costumey" looks is their taste level. Chris' fabrics, embellishments, and overall look of his collection were tacky. If he had gotten rid of the velvet and nixed all that beading, it would have been much more competitive. It was just too matronly and old looking.
Christian's collection had all the right proportions, the garments were constructed beautifully, was cohesive and dramatic with a flair toward avant garde. Like I said, I love Chris March and I hope to see more of his work which hopefully will go in a different direction than his final collection.

@ The Press and the Obamessiah
[Read the article: Let 'em duke it out]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"I think the fact that some but not all of the press when they started asking Obama questions was a good thing. I still have no idea who the guy is and he ended the press conference after a short hissy fit. Although he can write a plagiarized speech and deliver it well his message is like G.W. Bush back in 2000. Tell the people what they want to hear."
Thank you for bringing up this comparison! Obama and his naive "bring the country together" for change is so reminiscent of Bushes' 9/11 mongering. As the last two elections have shown, this country has huge populations that are polar opposites. Trying to bring in disenfranchised republicans is good but I don't want a president who will cater to the wants of the rest of the right. As the last four years have proved, being on the right is obviously the wrong choice!

Urban Votes
[Read the article: Let 'em duke it out]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Also, I resent it that everyone one believes young urban people are voting for Obama. I am 25 year old extremely far left woman living in downtown Dayton, Ohio and I voted for HRC. Perhaps some other young people are buying into the Obama hype, but I actually pay attention to all facets of his campaign and policies not just his comparative youth and easily spouted catch phrases . Don't drink the Obama Kool Aide!!!
