The democrats won't change until...

The democrats won't change until they boot Lieberman out of his perch.

Until they get the balls to do that, there is little hope for change. The people that are keeping 'jumpin Joe' in his perch are the ones that themselves have to get a life and take the hard road. Hell, if they tossed Joe out on his ass, there'd be some blowback but it should be recoverable. Well, it will be more so than if Joe does more damage as the conventions and the election comes closer...

I'd say jetison him NOW rather than let him attack the party. There is no excuse for letting him snipe away from 'inside' the party. Let him join the other enemies of change and snipe from the outside. Until he's out, he'll provide more political theatre for the election and no meaningful change is possible... IMO.

I will... (From my barackobama.com 'blog')

From my 'blog' on Obama's site:

I will vow to:

a) Never contribute to your campaign

b) Stay home or at least not vote for a presidential candidate

c) Not work for or contribute time to this candidate

For I am one pissed off democrat who thinks that standing up for the constitution against the assault by the RNC and those craven democrats that think that the Hoyer/Cheney FISA sellout is a good deal for America is of high importance. If his campaign can't think up a way to sell the retaining of our constitutional rights to voters and win then he really has no business running for president.

If Barack Obama can't stand up for the constitution, or won't stand up for it, then I will not stand up for him.

Pandering to the people at the center involves selling out way to much of the values that founded this country. I don't trust Bush and especially Cheney with this reckless sellout and I can't trust Obama with it either.

Will anyone join me?

First it's the fourth amendment, which will be next? The first? The fourteenth? The second?

I can't stand up for a candidate that doesn't stand up for what I feel is so very important.

JOIN ME! Say 'enough is enough!' stop the destruction of the constitution!

Barack: You stand up for the constitution and I'll stand up for you! Deal?

I called...

Levin and Stabenow.

She votes like Lieberman most of the time.

I can't support these people. Levin is up for re-election and will probably be another cake walk but I can't vote for him.

Please stop backing the House FISA sellout bill!!! It's against everything that the constitution means and everything that the founding fathers stood for! STOP THE FISA SELLOUT! STOP THE FISA SELLOUT! I will NOT vote for anyone that sells out the founding tenants of this country for fear and BS from the Bush administration! I won't vote for you, I won't vote to Obama, I won't vote for Stabenow (or Levin)! You can't have a good enough reason to sell out the constitution that you swore an oath to protect! Treason isn't a simple crime.

These people can eat my shorts, after they get them out of Cheney's putrid hands...

How can I volunteer for the Mars mission? Get me away from all this bullshit!

I'm devastated...

Is everybody retarded now?

This seems like a 'Twilight Zone' episode...

Don't fear the reaper... Well, yeah. Most of the backers of this FISA shit are undead...

Prove...

Prove to me that a bunch of fat ignorant animals is a militia and I'll believe this decision.

There are no 'militia's' since the military takes over that role. The militia were needed to fight the British because the military, what ever there might have been, was overwhelmed.

The second ammendment is a quant throwback to the founding of this nation, it's not meant to insure that people can get Mac-10's and blast the neighborhood...

This country is getting nuttier and nuttier...
